Dr. Cohen grew up in Westfield, New Jersey and attended Westfield High School in Westfield New Jersey. From there Dr. Cohen received a B.A. in History from Syracuse University. He received his dental training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry now Rutgers University where he received his D.M.D. . After graduating, Dr. Cohen completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillo-Facial surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, University Hospital.
Dr. Cohen then joined the Bayonne Dental Group inBayonne New Jersey, where he has been practicing for the past 19 years. During his first two years of practice Dr. Cohen received a Fellowship in implant dentistry from the New Jersey Implant Institute. Dr. Cohen continued his education by completing the necessary pre-requisites to obtain a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Cohen then went on to complete his certification to become an Invisalign preferred provider. Formerly,Dr. Cohen was an associate clinical professor at Rutgers Dental School.
Dr. Cohen is the father of 3 young ladies and has been married for the past 19 years to his wife Katie. His new office in Livingston New Jersey is just another step in trying to deliver the highest quality dentistry to whomever may need or desire his help.
Dr. Cohen has prided himself on being available to his patients whether it be a simple filling or a painful emergency. He has always advocated that no one should have to deal with pain and be in discomfort.
A lifetime resident of Livingston, Dr. Gary Krugman has dedicated over 28 years to providing his patients with the best of todays dentistry, so that they may enjoy a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles! Dr. Krugman earned his bachelors and dental degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Krugman participates in numerous hours of continuing education programs annually. Advanced training in cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry, as well as certification in Invisalign, allows Dr. Krugman to give you a smile that is healthy and looks the way you always imagined it could. The best dental care I have ever experienced. The professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff is outstanding. I am a nervous patient & Dr. Steven Cohen couldn't have been nicer and more gentle while working on my teeth. His honesty and patience was greatly appreciated. I'm so pleased with my visit to the dentist today, my hygienist Sandy did an excellent Job I'm a changed man, Yes I'm happy with my visit to the dentist, the one place not everyone enjoy going to, Thank you Sandy for taking your time and providing me with great patients care. Today was my first time going to Dr.Cohen! He was amazing. I'm a super nervous Nelly when it comes to dental work but he was so calming. He was able to repair the immediate emergency I had. I have a long road in regards to dental work but Dr.Cohen and his staff were probably the first dental team that made me feel comfortable and confident that I can get my smile where it needs to be. They deserve more than a five star rating. Starts at the front desk when you walk in friendly smiles making you feel welcomed and Never a long wait. Hygienist Sandy is great, compassionate and very thorough. Dr. Steve is the best very knowledgeable and explains things in a way you can understand. This office has an awesome team nothing like I have ever seen. Highly recommended.

I have been seeing Dr Cohen for many years but this was the first visit with him at his Livingston Smiles office. Dr Cohen was fantastic as usual and the office staff was exemplary. Highly recommend the Team at Livingston Smiles.

I highly recommend Dr Krugman the BEST DENTIST I ever had. He has a great staff. They are all top of the line professionals, with superb workmanship, artistry and state of the art equipment. 3D Imaging, and TV for his patients to watch while waiting, or just to relax. My family and I love Dr. Krugman.
