I still remember my father coming home on Saturdays wearing the blue coat from his dental practice in Upper Manhattan on Nagle Avenue. Occasionally, he let me go to work with him and I would sit in the office eating chicken nuggets or crushed ice with syrup, watching him work. The way he loved his patients and they loved him back left an indelible mark on my soul.
Although my childhood experiences prepared me for a dental career, I ended up at Boston University as a Biomedical Engineering major. Before graduation, I secured a consulting position in New York at IBM where I met my future husband, Mike. He quickly recognized I was a fish out of water as he said, You dont belong here. Youre too smart. What do you REALLY want to do?
After my fathers unexpected passing in March of 2003, my career at IBM was no longer enough. I felt like I was missing out on my calling to become a dentist. Before long, I entered the Post-baccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University in preparation for dental school.
With my father gone, I became the breadwinner for my family. Chasing my dental dream involved working, going to classes, and borrowing all the money I needed for schooling. I would wake up at 4:30am, commute to Brooklyn to work until 4pm, commute to Morningside Heights, attend classes, and be on the 12:30am bus to Clifton.
After two years of preparation, I entered Columbia Dental School. Mike and I got married and with his support, I was able to graduate at the top of my class earning many honors including the American Association of Oral Biologists Award and the Deans Scholar Award and Commendation for Academic Excellence. I also served as President of the American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD) while at Columbia University. Following dental school, I completed a specialty residency in Orthodontics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where I had the honor of being chosen as chief resident of the Orthodontics program.
I carry my fathers memory with me every day. He modeled a love for patients that inspires how I treat everyone I serve. My daughter Evangeline will never truly know the man who forever shaped the course of my life, but she and others will hopefully see his powerful imprint through my life.
She and her husband Michael have been married for ten years and live with their daughter Evangeline, her mother, and their cat Gizmo in northern New Jersey. She loves being a mom, spending time with her family, training with kettlebells, reading, crocheting, knitting, and binge watching sci-fi shows and movies.
Unlike corporate orthodontic practices, Dr. Gi Gi crafts every smile herself through one-on-one care. She loves getting to know her patients and providing a positive experience on the way to achieving a beautifully straight smile.

Dr Gigi and every single one of her colleagues are absolutely fantastic. They held our hand and kept smiles on all our faces from the very first meeting through every appointment, every issue that arose (ten year olds, amiright?!), and beyond. We couldn't be happier with the care we received from Dr. Gigi and everyone at Livingston Family Orthodontics.

In 2019, Dr. GiGi began my braces treatment. She was always respectful and pleasant to work with. It's been 4 years since my braces were removed and my teeth still look great. The plastic retainer Dr. GiGi molded has held up nicely. Another thing I love is that her office manager, Jenny, can be reached just about any time...even outside of business hours, so you can get quick responses to your concerns.

I love family Orthodontists! All the workers are very pleasant and understanding. Covid protocols are followed. They have many fun giveaways and guessing games. Go to family Orthodontists for sure!

Dr. GiGi and her staff are awesome. My son had his initial consultation months ago and she explained to him why he needed braces and how long the he would need to wear them. What I like most is how friendly the office staff is and how well they explained to him how to care for his braces and what to expect going forward

Dr Gigi is the best! She follows COVID-19 protocols. My daughter goes to her now! Also she was honest with me and told me that as an adult with too money fixed teeth crowns and implants that it would not be in my interest to do orthodontia. She is honest and really nice!

My son has been going to see Dr.GiGi for over a year now and I can not tell you how happy we are with this office. Dr. GiGi is great. She is professional, very easy to talk to and keeps her appointments on time. Her staff (Jenny) is amazing as well. I highly recommend Livingston Family Orthodontics.

Throughout the years my teeth started to shift. My fiance proposed and I said to myself my teeth have to be straight for my wedding! I walked into Dr. Gigi's office and WOW! They are very polite. The office is very nice and neat. Dr.Gigi works very carefully when attaching and working on the braces to not hurt you, as the process was pain free when getting them on and when she put on new wires.

Livingston Family Orthodontics is more than just an orthodontic office. The staff there genuinely cares about your treatment and they genuinely care about you. Jenny and Dr GiGi are extremely supportive and keep you up to date on the progress of your treatment plan. I just stoped by the office this morning for getting my braces on , and i had a great experirnce of how things are getting yo start with my treatment .i was really happy with Dr Gigi and Jenny , they treated me with respect and answered my whole questions..Dr Gigi is really a great orthodontist in Livingstone and very honest bcz when she saw my teeth she told me before getting braces i recommend to see a periodentist for getting my gums fixed from disease ..i highly recommend her for every body and i will come back when im done with my periodontal treatment .
