Dr. Pouyan received his bachelors degree in Neuroscience from UCLA. He went on to receive Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious New York University School of Dentistry where he finished a two-year Faculty Practice Honors Program.
He then completed a residency at Columbia University and St. Lukes Hospital (NYC) with focus on dentistry under general anesthesia on adults, children, medically compromised and disabled patients. He followed that with another residency program at the Veterans Hospital in Sepulveda, CA where he served as chief resident with emphasis on root canals, oral surgery and implant procedures.
He has incorporated this advanced education along with his caring personality into his delivery methods of dentistry, guaranteeing a safe, pain and stress-free environment during each and every visit. He makes going to the dentist fun and exciting with his friendly and compassionate nature.
Our wish for you, your children, and family is to achieve the goal of never needing dental work in the future. Our purpose comes from the derivation of the word doctor. It comes from the Latin word docere, which means to show, to teach, or to teach to know. We help achieve this goal of teaching with hygiene visits twice a year a goal that can eliminate gum disease and future dental work for a lifetime.
The offices of Dr. Shabnam Khanideh and Dr. Mehra Pouyan are newly built. When you visit us youll be greeted in a tranquil reception room complete with a soothing fountain and friendly faces. You may relax to music with our headphones while we take care of your dental needs. When necessary, your examination may include the latest in intraoral cameras and benefit from the magic of digital x-rays (up to 80% less radiation).

As an out-of-towner, I had a great experience with Dr. Khanideh. I really appreciated them fitting me in first thing on a Monday as I was suffering very badly from a tooth ache that needed a root canal. Dr. Khanideh was kind and concise, the care was affordable, and their receptionists were very sweet and made several phone calls on my behalf to find an endodontist who could fit me in for a procedure ASAP.

I had a great experience with Livewell. I came in with a cracked molar and Dr. Khanideh was able to spend about 3 hours with me to start the crown process for my tooth. She was very kind and reassuring, which I was very thankful for as this was my first major dental procedure. All of the follow up visits had the same level of kindness.

Dr. Khanideh reached out to me via LinkedIn, which I thought was an interesting move. I happened to be in the market for a new dentist, and they took Delta Dental PPO, so I made an appointment. The hygenist & dentist were very helpful in understanding my dental situation, and even had 3D maps of my teeth to show me what was wrong. I have follow-up work scheduled; see how it goes, but they seem to know what they're doing!

Everyone is great! The doctor is always encouraging me to come back in order to continue my needed services as I have bad teeth, and have neglected them. She is always providing "hard love" towards me. This place is my home for dentistry!

Dr. Pouyan is always willing to accommodate me when I've needed dental work out of the blue. He was also able to fix a partial composite front tooth that had discolored and make it look natural. My smile looks so much better in pictures and videos now!

The entire staff were super nice and helpful, the office was very clean and sheek. Entire staff wears masks, covid safe! Dr. Khanideh was extremely thorough with her examination. She took care of my chipped tooth and fixed the filling that fell out. Dr. Pouyan worked on my fiance's teeth, luckily her teeth were better than mine, she was extremely happy as well. Thank you so much for taking care of our dental needs, see you guys in 6 months!

I have a lot of chronic health issues, and a strong fear of having my dental work. Dr. Pouyan is amazing - so gentle, no judgment at all. He made sure i was not in pain at alI during my procedure. My daughter had several procedures, and they were all positive experiences. I highly recommend him!
