I went in for a toothache. $210 in X-Rays later, nothing was done! I wasn't even offered anything for pain. This was a classic case of " there was nothing wrong with me until I went to the dentist". All the dentist wanted to talk about was a tooth that had a root canal done 18 years ago that's not causing any problems. Pure scam. They wanted to "refer" me to an oral surgeon. I wonder how much their kickback is?

Stay away from this practice.. pure money making staff practice.. they will force you to agree on more work that they get more money out of insurance and not willing to do work on what patient wants/ needs. Lot of wait time until they get insurance money clearance and wastes customers time, front office reps don't know how to verify insurance as well. I see more of this behavior of doctor practices in USA... as if they are doing life saving.. Definitely not recommended.

Why are you trying to use my credit card? I don't even live in the US. Who is responsible in your company for applying charges? I have no idea who you are or how you have my cc info. Just got your data from my bank, detailing a rejected transaction with my credit card.

Dr. Machiko is the DMD you want if you're planning to get veneers. I've had veneers since I was 15 due to genetic hypotonia, which just means certain teeth never grow in because you don't have them (a weird phenomena if you think about it evolutionarily) and the rest of the teeth are spaced out accordingly--meaning lots of space in between. The fix is to make each tooth a bit wider to fill the gaps. I've seen many cosmetic dentists throughout my life and only 2 have been phenomenal; the best being Dr. Machiko. Dr. Machiko is a type A personality who is not happy with his work unless it's perfect and you're the happiest you've ever been. I was blown away by his understanding of shape, curvature and color and how important they are to a beautiful smile. No one even knows I have veneers, they look so natural. With that being said, this is a review for Dr. Machiko and not the practice as a whole. I can't comment on the mentioned billing issues although I too, have had scheduling hiccups. I can say that Dr. Machiko cares as much about how your teeth look as you do. To him it's his artistry and his reputation--and I feel that's the person you want in charge of your smile.

ALERT! Be careful with them. Make sure they work with your insurance company. They will offer services and charge you without checking. It is their policy that it is the client's responsibility to check with their own insurance. Plus, they are super expensive!

I wish I could give zero stars. I was manhandled for what was described to be a "small filling." "Dr. Leslie" does not do most of the work herself and permits rough "assistants" to work on patients. For two weeks after a "small filling" I was still unable to eat solid food due to the pain caused by the "assistant." They don't care. Dr. Leslie didn't even have the grace to follow up with me after telling them about my continued pain. It has been over three weeks now and I still cannot bite into an apple due to the jaw pain.....but at least I've graduated from pureed food after only a filling.

Had an emergency crown put on after shattering my molar and everyone was there was extremely helpful. They fit me in for an appointment the day of and walked me through every step and financial plan thoroughly. I don't have dental insurance and they offer a very flexible payment plan which i didn't need at the time, but was a relief to know they offered. After my temporary crown was put on, they kept in frequent contact to check on how it was holding up while the permanent crown was being made in the lab and when it was time for the permanent crown to be put on, they made sure everything was 100% and I was completely satisfied before letting me go. Would highly recommend any dental work at this office and their kind and friendly staff.

Finally, away from this terrible office. The only thing they had going for them was Dr. Greg Novotny and he isn't even there anymore. The billing practices are terrible. They billed services for my daughter to a dentist that lives in GA. Then they tried to sue a minor for non-payment of a bill for that same dentist, one which she obviously never saw. Stay away!!!!

Unethical billing practices. Told up front before getting work done what our co pay was. Only to get a bill for over $2000 extra. Evidently the dentist is out of network but we were told they excepted our insurance before having work done. Never would have gone here if they told us the truth from the beginning.

I received a call on the day of my child's appointment informing me that the appointment was cancelled, and the reason is that the Dr. who was to perform the treatment decided that the plan was not going to work. I took the afternoon off, mentally prepared us for the visit, and had even fully paid in advance for the treatment plan per their policy. I asked for a call back which was promised but didn't happen. I had to call them again to discuss. I have never been treated with such a cavalier disrespect for my child's health and our time. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for a provider with a personal touch and sincere care for their patients. I plan ahead for my meetings, but I guess they just fly by the seat of their pants. After reply for owner: I agree that we all want what is best for my child, I just would have preferred not wasting all of our time through your lack of planning. I believe a 24 hour courtesy should go both ways. The saga continues: I can't get off their mailing list no matter how many times I ask. I keep getting promotional offers from them under different marketing addresses, so I can't even set the address to spam. Don't even send a request for info. You'll regret giving them your email address.

I went in for my first filling feeling very nervous (couldn't sleep the night before). I'd had some negative experiences at the dentist after a car accident as a child, so I may have had some traumatic memories going into all this. That said, everyone at the office was super kind and compassionate. They took plenty of time to talk me through how everything would go. Dr. Greg showed me pictures of the tooth and talked about exactly what he'd need to do. Everything went smoothly and painlessly. The whole experience was better than I could have imagined. Thanks everyone who made a dreaded experience far less stressful than it could have been.

I am a 20 year veteran with deployment experience. I have seen some things that shouldn't be seen and consider myself pretty brave, (or foolish.) However, I would rather rush a fortified position with multiple insurgents hopped up on Khat before going to the dentist. When someone wants to be a dentist I think they have either severe anger or morbid issues. Who wakes up each day and wants to hurt people? They're like evil scary clowns without the make up. Basically one step from being a serial killer. Me going to the dentist for a filling is equal to or worse than child birth. Livewell Dentistry is the exception though. I have been to dentist's all over the U.S. and LiveWell is the second best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of being afraid of. In fact, cleanings are usually more uncomfortable than any other work I've had done there. I don't know what they do but there is very little pain and they make me feel comfortable and are very understanding of my fears. They never leave me uninformed, always explain why they do what they do and if possible, give me options. All their staff are pleasant and always take as much time as needed with me. I've never felt rushed or like a number there. I would and have recommended LiveWell Dentistry highly-which is saying a lot since I would rather walk a tight rope made of razor blades over starving crocodiles on a windy day covered in bacon fat than give a good review for a dentist. Definitely give them a try. It doesn't hurt either that there is a Wine & Spirits next door. Good for before and after dental care!

This is by far the BEST dental office I've ever gone to. I have a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist and when I made my first appointment I told them that and they were so empathetic and explained everything to me so well that by my second appointment all my anxiety was gone. I highly recommend this office. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful.

I had a great experience with my visits. The staff is very courteous, professional, polite and helpful. The facilities and very clean and bright. I was in and out quickly. They have a laser which, I'm told, removes less healthy tooth material during procedures compared with drilling. I highly recommend their services!

Dr Leslie is awesome! She takes time with each patient and makes sure to educate them on what will get them healthy and keep them that way! Anyone who makes an appointment there is in excellent hands!

They are not following covid protocols at all!!! Please do not go here it is not safe! I went and no one screened me for symptoms and there were at least 5 other patients there the same time I was, none wearing masks. The doctors and hygienists do not wear full PPE, no one wears face shields or goggles. The office is completely open so you will be less than 6 feet from others without masks with nothing but a thin particion separating you, and often times you won't even have that. I could hear the patient right next to me talking about the big Thanksgiving dinner he had planned, the staff does not attempt to keep thier unmasked patients separated and I was close enough to the unmasked guy in the chair next to me to hear all of thier conversation. No one took my temperature until after I asked why they were not following protocols. That was after they had me remove my mask and take an x-ray. I went here about two years ago and had two fillings done and they both fell out with in a year. Terrible dental work, not safe and I will never come back here. Two minutes after I got my X-ray done another patient was at the same machine, no one cleaned it and the entire time I was getting my X-ray done I was less than 6 feet from another patient being worked on. When I asked why they weren't wearing face shields they said it was thier personal preference and they were not necessary because they weren't comfortable to wear for 8 hours. Absolute negligence, a pair of goggles is way more comfortable than if you get covid and end up on a ventilator or worse. Please support other area dentists that do prioritize safety. From the CDC website: "DHCP should implement the use of universal eye protection and wear eye protection in addition to their surgical mask to ensure the eyes, nose, and mouth are all protected from exposure to respiratory secretions during patient care encounters, including those where splashes and sprays are not anticipated." They are not following CDC protocols at all and Allegheny County is currently over 10% positivity rate for coronavirus. I am still shaken up from this frightening experience. And the reply from them below shows how callous and careless they are. Shame on you for putting your staff and patients lives at risk!!

I came into the office to learn more about the dental implant process, and Dr. Leslie Pasco began to pressure me to begin the implant process that instant and pay upfront. With my bridges still being beautiful, I could not understand why the matter was so urgent? I left, in tears of frustration, as soon as I could. I came to this practice because Dr. Machiko did my Merlin Bridges as a child and they were beautiful. I cannot recommend him enough, but I am so disappointed that he is now working in an office that treats patients like price tags. In response to the reply: I had an absolutely amazing experience with Dr. Bakuri at Pittsburgh Dental Implants and Periodontics, so I decided to review LiveWell Dentistry to warn people that their behavior is not normal. Just because I took some time to leave my review does not change what happened to me when I came to this practice.

Although not a patient of Dr. Pasco , I have known Dr. Pasco professionally for years. She not only knows dentistry inside and out but more importantly I know her as a caring and thoughtful person. If I didn't already have a long time great dentist, I know Dr. Pasco would be my choice.
