Dr. Dan Duffy is a native of Point Pleasant, NJ. After completing undergraduate studies at East Carolina University (Greenville, NC), he entered ECU's School of Dental Medicine, receiving a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2016.
Dr. Daniel Duffy received his D.M.D. from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and holds a BS in Business Administration from the ECU College of Business. His private practice, Live Oak Dental in Wilmington, NC specializes in family dentistry, advanced dental procedures, and wellness-based care. Dr. Duffy is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Duffy invests in his own professional development through regularly participating in advanced dental training programs. He has completed several graduate level curricula, including dental implant training with the Engel Institute and continuing education courses at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, WA.
An avid surfer, Dr. Duffy is a long-standing member of the Wrightsville Beach Longboard Association and Cape Fear Chapters Surfrider Foundation. He has been known to talk surfing to interested patients, regaling them with over 20 years worth of stories and world travel. Dr. Duffy and his wife Melissa have been happily married for ten years and live in Wilmington with their three children. The Duffys enjoy spending time together outdoors and exploring North Carolinas beautiful Southern Coast.
Megan graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2007 and has enjoyed providing quality oral health care as a dental hygienist for 14 years. In August 2021, Megan stepped into the position of Office Manager with an excitement and desire to learn, grow and lead well! While she will miss seeing all of her amazing patients on the clinical side of care, she is dedicated to ensuring your oral health and care is of top quality.
While Megan is passionate about her work, she finds the most joy in her role as mom and wife. Her husband Vreeland, and their 2 little ones, Pierce and Hattie love having fun and spending time with friends.
Originally from Gettysburg Pennsylvania, Kiersti moved here to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist and to be close to the beach. She has been in the dental field for over nine years. She enjoys providing top quality care to patients while making an ever lasting impact on their lives by restoring their smiles. In 2013, she received her dental assisting certificate from YTI in Pennsylvania. Her passion for dentistry grew and pushed her to receive her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting License in 2019. She loves spending her free time exploring the great outdoors, going to the beach or listening to live music at local breweries.
Originally from California, Alyssa has called North Carolina home for almost 15 years now. She met her husband at East Carolina University where she received her bachelors degree in biology. They recently moved to Wilmington after living in Asheville for the last 4 years. Alyssa attended Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College where she graduated with her Associates in Dental Hygiene in 2019.
My favorite part of my job is the power of educating my patients. For some people, the first time they make the connection with oral health to their overall health is in my chair and that is really special to me.
Originally from sunny Arizona, Katyln relocated to Wilmington with her husband Riley, 3 year old son Killian and their 2 dogs. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Nutrition. Although she didnt envision working in the dental field, after a short-term position helping out in a dental office- she found a passion for helping people through their oral health. She has a great understanding of the connection from oral to systemic health and has a desire to make an impact in her community through her work! In her free time, Katlyn is an avid Broncos fan and enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and spending time with her sweet family.
Kayla grew up in Ellijay, GA but recently moved to Wilmington in July from Idaho. Kayla first entered the dental field in 2015 as a front desk receptionist. She joined the Air Force in 2015 as a dental technician and met her now husband and his 3 beautiful daughters. She and her family would vacation to Wilmington every year and fell in love with the beaches and warm temperatures. After she and her husband got out of the Air Force, they decided to make roots here and are currently building their dream home. Kayla graduated this year with her B.A.S. in Healthcare Management.
I love being the first interaction our patients have when they walk through our doors. Some patients come into the practice with a lot of dental fear and just by sitting and listening to them Im able to show them how much we truly care.
