Our brand new office is furnished with state of the art equipment from the leading dental companies. Our Sterisil Water System is one of only 40 in the mid-west region , helping us provide the best possible dental care for your family while maintaining the warm and friendly environment youve come to expect. There is a large parking area for your convenience. The waiting room includes Play Areas for children to relax and feel at home. One of our priorities is to protect the privacy of our families by having a private business office. The treatment rooms have colorful and playful dcor to help children feel at ease, with many visuals to redirect their focus away from their treatment.
I grew up in Northern Indiana in a town called Merrillville, with all the wonderful influences of nearby Chicago. After high school graduation, I began my college education at Indiana University in Bloomington. After 3 years, I was accepted into the dental hygiene program at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. While finishing the hygiene program in 1984, I decided I wanted to become a dentist. After attending dental school, I completed a 2 year pediatric dental residency at Riley Childrens Hospital and began an amazing career promoting healthy smiles in children.
I have had the pleasure of being married to my husband Steven since 1984. Four years later we were truly blessed with twins. My children are currently pursuing their own careers. Brandon is married and is enjoying his career as Head Distance Cross Country and Track Coach at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Marika lives in New York City and is thriving in her career in film currently as a post-production colorist.
For fun, besides working with children, I enjoy exercising in pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. To relax, I take pleasure in playing the piano and checking out the latest movies. My passion is traveling and skiing in Colorado. The adventures of seeing new places in the United States and around the World is very exciting and teaches me the cultures and customs of people everywhere.
I was born with a cleft lip and palate. As a child, I spent at least one week per year in the hospital for surgery related to my cleft. At ten years old, I decided I wanted to be a pediatric doctor. I wanted to help children feel comfortable, just like my doctors did; but I also had insight into being treated different than other children. These childhood experiences led me on a lifelong journey and educational path towards a dental career specializing in children.

Laura,Amberand Lindsayare the Assistants. They are specially trained in working with children. Besides their excellent dental skills, they will make your child feel at ease with their playful, friendly approach. They have received extensive training in the management of spirited patients and those with special needs.

This place is amazing! Took my 4 kids here and drove all the way from Bloomington after having most other local dentists offices say they "didn't accept our insurance". This office was amazing from the first phone call to the very end of the appointment as my kids left with clean teeth, smiles, and looking forward to their next visit. The hygienists were fabulous, the doctor was amazing, the waiting room is super kid friendly. Will for sure go back and be recommending this dentist to everyone!

Highly DO NOT recommend Dr. Litz. She is very aggressive when handling children. Her dental work is questionable and outdated. My kids have had multiple appointments with her and 6 out of the 7 appointments were bad experiences. Never going back to her.

She was absolutely amazing with my daughter! We drove almost 2 hours to come to this location after moving to Indiana from Arkansas because most dentist don't allow you back in the room with your child. My daughter was born with a laryngeal cleft and has anxiety when it comes to her mouth because of that. Dr Litz was absolutely amazing at caring for her and helping ease her fears!

This place is amazing! I found this place online after we had a not so great experience with another dental office. My daughter (6) needed to have some dental work done. Our regular family dental office would not allow a parent to go back with her. My child was scared, crying, and I didn't want to force her to go back alone so we turned around and left the appointment. I called LitzKidz Dental same afternoon, filled out the new patient info online, and I had an appointment scheduled a few days later. I was able to go back into the room with my daughter and Dr. Litz even let me sit right next to the dental assistant while they worked on my daughter. She showed me everything they were working on (it was actually very interesting!) Dr. Litz and her staff are super friendly! They really did a wonderful job at making sure my daughter was comfortable and Dr. Litz was even able to make her smile/laugh after numbing. I am very pleased with how we were treated and the care my daughter received. Super thankful for Dr. Litz and her team! You ladies are amazing!

Dr. Litz and her team have been amazing with my son who has ADHD and anxiety. They always explain things to his understanding, take things step by step, show him equipment, and they help comfort him. Dr. Litz is so thorough and quick, making the experience even better. I love how everyone is so interactive with both my son and I. We have been here a handful of times, and each experience has been wonderful, even during the tough times. I cannot recommend Dr. Litz and her team enough! They're amazing!

I went to assist my daughter-in-law with our 3 grand children (two were being treated). The staff was wonderful, however, Dr. Litz is very RUDE and ROUGH with children that are in the chair or just attending as their sibling receives dental care! I highly recommend you find another dentist for your children.

My daughter loves Dr. Litz. She had seen two other dentists for some issues (she's only two) and everyone dismissed her. We finally made the switch to this office and I couldn't be happier. They are so calm and soothing. She fussed a little with the needle to numb but the doctor and her staff are quick and comforting. All our questions were answered well and explained in detail about what she needed. No other office had given us such explanations. When we pull into the parking lot, my daughter is so excited to see the whole staff. Highly recommend!

This is the only dentist my daughter will see! She even calls her the "good" dentist. After having a bad experience at another place I thought I would never be able to get her to go to another one until we found this office. Granted she still has anxiety about dentists, but Dr Litz and her staff talk her through everything each time she's there and that helps tremendously!
