You do not need to be at Little Tooth Co. for long to know that we use kid-friendly language and use examples that all children can understand. We often replace words which can potentially scare children with friendlier versions.

Shot / Needle These words can quickly turn a happy cooperative child into a child that is fearful. We either say nothing at all or say that we are using sleepy drops to help the sugar bugs fall asleep. We explain that it may feel cold and tingly next to the tooth.

Laughing Gas We call this ice-cream air because of its sweet smell. We work with kids imaginations by allowing them to pick whatever flavor they want. We also explain that the air will make them feel floaty or tickly.

No sippy cups, bottles, straws and pacifiers for the first 24 hours after the procedure. No rinsing or spitting for the first 24 hours after the procedure. The sucking and swishing actions can cause prolonged bleeding and impede healing.

Avoid salty, spicy, acidic or crunchy foods for the first 24 hours as this may irritate the extraction site. Cold and/or soft foods are a great choice for two or three days (i.e. ice cream, applesauce, mac and cheese, etc.)

The local anesthesia sleepy drops used may make your childs lip, cheek, and tongue numb for up to 3 hours. Watch that your child does not bite, suck, or pinch any part of their mouth. Maintain a soft diet (for example: yogurt, pudding) to help prevent injury.

When baby teeth are lost prematurely, a space maintainer can help prevent the teeth from shifting. They can help prevent space loss so that the adult teeth have room to come in normally. These appliances are cemented into your childs mouth. At your routine checkups, we will evaluate the space maintainer, and we will let you know when is the right time to remove it.

Children usually adapt very quickly to their space maintainers, and after a short period, they forget it is there. It is important to brush and keep the area around the space maintainer clean, just as you would any other tooth.

Our patients and their families are the foundation of our practice, and we all work hard to build and maintain relationships with them. Our team is a family and we enjoy being there for each other on a daily basis. Working hard for something you love is called passion. Wow! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I describe this place. I needed an emergency appointment for my daughter who fell at school and had a loose tooth. This was my first time contacting the practice and from the first phone call it was an incredible experience. They got us in right away, and everyone put my daughter (and this mama) at ease. From the smooth check-in process to the dentist, everyone was genuinely kind, helpful and friendly. Dr. Cyelee was incredible with my daughter and made me feel well informed! Thank you Little Tooth Co. for the incredible service. We look forward to coming back.

So thankful I brought our son here for his first dentist appt. A couple months later he had a bad injury to his gum from a fall and they got us in within an hour, explained everything they had to check and gently examined him to make sure there weren't any additional procedures needed. Highly recommend bringing your littles here. They know how to care for kids even when they are in pain and distressed.

FOR FAMILIES WITHOUT INSURANCE - If you do not have dental insurance and will be using the Little Tooth Co Membership Plan, be sure to read the Agreement carefully before signing. Ask for clarification on anything that you do not understand. Keep track of the Membership renewal date. Ask when you would need to contact them in order to cancel based on the type of plan you select. Ask for a copy of everything that you sign. If you get dental insurance while you are on the Membership Plan, be sure to contact LTC as soon as possible. Also for those paying cash, be sure to ask over the phone prior to the appointment what the bill will be for services so that you know how much you will need to have available on the day of services. For example, 699$ for a 2, 6, and 8 year old to have their teeth cleaned. Do not let anyone make you feel rushed and make sure to ask all the questions you may have.

This office is amazing. My daughters first visit and she was one. They took their time and made sure she was comfortable and let her look at everything they were using so she wasn't scared. Talked with us about our concerns and questions and provided answers and support. Environment was clean and beautiful. Very welcoming to kids and parents. So happy with her first visit. And happy to say we found our peds dentist.

The office is beautiful and spotless, all of the staff was so kind. Both Dr Jean and the dental hygienist were very informative and patient with my 2 year old who was visibly nervous for his very first dental appointment. They were sure to answer all of my questions and acknowledge my concerns.

This was my son's first dental exam. Everyone at Little Tooth Co. was so welcoming and knew exactly what to do to make both my son and myself comfortable. Not only was the appointment fun, but the team that saw my son provided me with useful information and tips to take home. I feel like Little Tooth Co. has already left a lasting impression on my son. He received a Little Tooth Co. t-shirt after his appointment and when he puts it on, he makes a teeth brushing motion with his hand.

As someone with major dentist anxiety, I couldn't dream a better place to bring my kids. The team are gentle, creative, encouraging, punctual, and kind. The space is kid-friendly from the waiting room to the treatment area. One of my children needs further treatments for cavities--they shared that information gently and without judgment, scheduled us right away, and were transparent about cost up front. I really am so pleased with my experience here!
