Dr. Cynthia Pelley has been a long-term Oregon native. Advanced training as a pedodontist balances Dr. Cynthia's passion for the care of children with the science and artistry of dentistry. Dr. Cynthia began her care for the health of babies, children, and adolescents through 12 years of nursing, including working in the pediatric ICU. This early training gives Dr. Cynthia the unique ability to see how the child's whole body influences overall oral health.
Dr. Cynthia continued her education and received a Bachelors in Arts and Science with a focus on biology from Portland State University. After graduation, she was awarded membership in the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi for academic excellence. After graduating with her D.M.D from OHSU, she continued her child focused dental training in the Pediatric Dental Residency Program at OHSU. In her final year, she was chosen to be Chief Resident by the Program Director. Dr. Pelley then took the National Pediatric Dental Board Exam and became certified as a Diplomat in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Pelley has hospital privileges at Kaiser, Legacy, and Providence locations.
Dr. Cynthia's professional associations include the, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Oregon's Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Society of Anesthesesiology, American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah County Dental Society.
What I like most about my job - The kids of course! They are so funny I love hearing all their creative answers to questions, and of course how excited they get to be here, that was not the case for me growing up so I love that we are changing that stigma.

We've had nothing but wonderful experiences at Little Smiles. Everyone is friendly and appointments start on time, this is a big one when you have a two year old!

Little smiles crew and Dr. Pelly made my very anxious kid feel comfy, they took their time when other dentists wouldn't. We are so happy to have found Little Smiles. They are prompt, communicate clearly and listen to any questions or concerns. Can't say enough how lucky we were to find Little Smiles!

My children had a wonderful 1st experience at Little Smiles! I was pleased at how friendly every single member of the staff was and how thorough my children's exams were. The office is very clean and there are many fun things for kids to look at. I highly recommend this practice!

Staff was so considerate of my four year old's sensitivity to unexpected noises. They showed him every tool they would use during his exam and talked about the sounds each tool made before demonstrating them, and then finally (with his permission) using them. He had a great first visit and left with a very positive impression of going to the dentist!

We'd delayed our first visit to the dentist a bit out of fear for catastrophic meltdowns. I was very pleasantly surprised how great our first dental exams were. Dr. Pelley and her team were amazing with our kiddos (1.5 yr, 3 yr), the visit was quick and easy, and she instilled calm and confidence. Can't say enough good things - highly recommend!

Totally pleased with our experiences at Little Smiles so far. My son (1.5 yrs) has hated doctors' offices until very recently but he didn't have any trouble at Little Smiles. It's easy to see that the staff enjoy young ones and are very communicative and approachable. :)

We have had a lot of reason to visit Little Smiles, unfortunately, as my kiddo fell and broke both adult front teeth right after they came in while on a trip to the beach . Dr Pelley has been truly incredible. Not only was she available to emergency consult with us on the phone when we were out of town, but she also has been wonderful in giving such gentle care. Somehow, my kiddo is still not scared of the dentist despite reconstruction and hypoplastic back teeth that require routine fillings. She even rebuilt the front tooth twice without charge. We live in the neighborhood, but I'd drive a long way to continue to bring my kids to this awesome pediatric dentist.
