I am very passionate about prevention; the more issues and diseases that can be prevented, the better! I enjoy teaching children and parents about dental health, and the role it plays in overall wellness. This helps them to develop good home dental hygiene habits, make healthy eating decisions, and to care about their health.
As a mother, I understand a parents concerns and always respect your wishes. I also know how to connect with children on their level, in a way that helps them feel at ease and even excited about seeing the dentist.
Dr. Arlisha Hicks has great training in pediatric dentistry to include oral surgery, oral conscious sedation, trauma management, restorative care, behavior management, and treatment for patients with special needs. Dr. Hicks is very committed to staying current with childrens dentistry and her passion for educating kids about the value of healthy oral hygiene habits. Dr. Hicks works diligently to provide the gentle care she wants for her patients. She focuses on accommodating each of her patients to the best of her ability. Dr. Hicks patience, compassion, and sincere character are her strongest attributes.
Dr. Hicks was born and raised in Houston, TX. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Womans University, Dr. Hicks went on to achieve her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College. Her passion for treating children grew stronger while in dental school. She completed her two-year Pediatric Dental Residency at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital in Miami, FL, serving as chief resident her second year. Dr. Hicks is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association. She is board qualified for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hicks greatest joy is spending time with her family. She is new to Las Vegas so she loves exploring the beautiful scenery with her husband. Dr. Hicks also enjoys traveling, strength training, and catching up on the latest streaming series.
