Dr. Swisher's dental career unofficially began in Kenya with his father in 1996. During this time period, he took several trips with his father doing volunteer dental work in places such as Kenya, Borneo, Jamaica, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, and South Africa. His career officially began upon graduating from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2004. After several years of working in Southern California, he decided to further his training by entering a residency in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital, in the Bronx, NY. Here he spent much of his time working with special needs children and adults at the Rose F. Kennedy Dental Center for Mental Retardation at the Einstein School of Medicine. Following residency, Dr. Swisher took on traveling jobs working at Community Health clinics in Hawaii, then back to New York to work in private practice.
Currently, he holds an affiliate faculty position at the University of Washington, Dept. of Pediatric Dentistry. He is the local ABCD (Access to Baby and Child Dentistry) representative for the state of Washington. And in 2011, he became a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. When he's not in the office, you'll likely find him somewhere outdoors enjoying life.

Wonderful team here that fixed my little guys tongue tie (healed quickly AND I can successfully breast feed now). Katie was so kind and the Dr. Swisher was gentle and quick!

Little Shredders provided the best experience I could have imagined for my little ones. All staff was patient, kind, informative, and skilled. I have no apprehensions with my kids going here for future visits. Parents appreciate when little ones are involved in the process and experience. Dr Swisher and the hygienist's explained what was going to happen and made it a painless, enjoyable experience for my little ones. Which means a lot to a parent. Thank you for delivering exceptional dental care and taking the time to give pointers as well as explain dental development in children.

What a caring, compassionate, patient Dentist and staff! My son had to have some tough dental work and they handled it awesome by comforting me and my son. I have been to many dentists in my 26 years of being a mother to 7 children, and I must say, this man is a professional! Highly recommended!

Such a great place to take your kids. Extremely kid friendly. Dr.Swisher and his team helps the kids to feel safe, allows questions, shows them how to brush and floss better. If he could take adults I would be going here to. Top notch for sure!

My daughter had a bad experience at the first dentist she went to (not Little Shredders) and has been scared of the dentist since. We both couldn't be happier about our experience at Little Shredders yesterday. Rather then shaming her for the areas she needs work on, he made her excited about brushing her teeth and fixing her problem areas. She is actually excited for her next dentist visit and to show him what a good job she has done. Thank you Little Shredders for making the dentist a fun experience for the both of us! :)

I won't take my kids anywhere else! (We went to Dr. house before we tried Dr. swisher. Huge difference.) The staff is so nurturing and fast at what they do! Definitely the best around. I highly recommend.

My two sons LOVE Little Shredders. They literally go running in saying, "We LOVE this place!" And there is no doubt their dental needs are being well cared for. Every member of the Little Shredder's team is excellent! I couldn't recommend this place more.
