Our team includes several general dentists, two oral surgeons, an endodontist, prosthodontist, as well as an anesthesiologist. What this means for our patients is that no matter what procedure they need, they can trust it will be provided by a doctor who is able to perform it at the highest possible level. In his younger years, Dr. Machen was given the opportunity to closely observe a friend of his who worked as a dentist. It didnt take long for him to realize that what he was seeing looked exactly like what he wanted his own future to be! The rest, they say, is history.
Dr. Machen completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Southern Arkansas University, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee in 1987. He has also undergone state-of-the-art training in BOTOX and TMJ treatment. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, and the Center District Dental Society.
Dr. Murphy decided late in high school that he wanted to either work in healthcare or attend law school, but it was difficult to choose a path. In his early college years, he visited his family dentist and orthodontist, who encouraged him to give dentistry a closer look. Later on, he took a course in dental anthropology, which helped to seal the deal as he really enjoyed it. Dentistry was also appealing to him because the doctor/patient relationships seemed so strong. He was very fortunate to be able to buy his family dentists office after graduating from dental school, and the rest is history.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Dr. Murphy pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. Today, he always takes more than the required number of continuing education hours on a yearly basis to keep his skills sharp. He regularly attends the American Dental Association annual meeting as well, which features a plethora of education and networking opportunities.
Dr. Murphy also feels very fortunate to have worked part-time at the Arkansas Childrens Hospital Dental Clinic for over a decade, where he received invaluable experience regarding dental trauma in young children and teenagers. Some of his other accolades and distinctions include:
Dr. Murphy and his wife Candice met at the University of Arkansas in 1980 and have been married for over 35 years. She is the Computer Brain of the family with a BSHE degree, a BS degree in Management Information Systems, and a Masters in Information Quality! They are very proud of their grown children Ross and Paige. Ross is an attorney while Paige works in the film/television industry and is pursuing her Masters in Documentary Film.

I have been going to this dental clinic since I moved to Little Rock, and they provide wonderful care. Dr.Cobb is great, and my dental hygienist, Linda, is very caring and thorough. I have definitely recommended them to friends and family.

My 1st visit was 10/20/22, And omg every one in the offices was wonderful, My Dr.came in and explaine everything that he is going to do on my next visit, They nurse that clean my teeth was amazing, and so friendly. Thanks for being so amazing. God lead me to the right place.I would like to even thank the lady at the front desk,for being so nice and friendly.

If you get a crown done at this place make sure you ask about their "general warranty" rule. I got one done in 2019 it chipped and for the warranty to be valid ALL cleanings had to be done there for 3 years. Never was told about this when I had this procedure done. When I called the person on the phone said this was a general all across warranty but I called other places and this is untrue. I also asked why I wasn't told or given any paperwork with said rule and she said it was posted at the clinic. Would not recommend!!

The BEST staff and always very much willing to accommodate for dental emergencies. I don't trust any other dentist than Dr Cobb. Dr Cobb and Dr Lee are both hard working professionals that are some of most intelligent in the surrounding LR area. Highly recommend!!
