Dr. Aluru received her Bachelor in Dental Surgery(B.D.S) from Kevempu University, India (1999)and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Boston University , Henry M.Goldman School ofDentalMedicine( 2004) Dr.Alurus passion for working with children developed early in life, which led her into a career in dental pediatrics. After practicing general dentistry on Children for seven years in Colorado and Austin, she entered the University of Texas HealthScienceCenter San Antonio(UTHSCSA) Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program, where she earned herSpecialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2013, during which she received extensive training in hospital and clinical pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Aluru brings a warm, friendly approach and a gentle touch. She is dedicated to providing children with high quality dentistry in a fun, comfortable environment while easing the anxiety of both children and parents alike. Her special interests include infant oral health, cosmetic dentistry, and patients with special needs.
Having two children of her own, Dr.Aluru knows and understands techniques to help your child enjoy their trip to the dentist. she genuinely cares for her patients. She shows a special talent in alleviating fear and anxiety in young children enabling her to treat every child as she would treat her own.

My daughter just had a cleaning at Little Hippos Pediatric Dentistry and I was very impressed. The office was clean, and staff were very friendly and appointment started exactly at correct time didn't have to wait at all. Jillian was out dentist and she was amazing, she kept my baby smiling and laughing the entire time.

We've been coming here since my son was 6 months old and he's now 5 and a half and we've always had great experiences every time we come! The staff is wonderful, they always go the extra mile to make sure my son is comfortable. We love our dental assistant, Jillian. She is super sweet and my son adores her! I would highly recommend this place to anybody and everybody!

Dr & staff have been great! We had a not so great experience at another office in town, so we really appreciate Little Hippos! My 3yo daughter cried all day at the thought of the dentist. We came in with more tears and Raquel was so amazing with her! She completely distracted her, talked about her day at the pool, and let her get comfortable before expecting anything from her. I am so thankful for our experience today because now my little can't wait to go back!

All staff are extermly nice and welcoming. Today was our first visit with them and my kids loved them. The dentist is very attentive to parent and child concerns. I felt the children's needs were number one!! Definitely recommend by my family!!

Outstanding customer service throughout! Front and back staff girls were amazing! Doctor explained my child's treatment thoroughly will never be going anywhere else and definitely referring all my friends to bring their children! I have been holding back on making a review but seeing how recent reviews have come out of Dr. Aluru behaving unprofessional I decided to share my experience. I came here a a few years ago when I was very young (I was around 10 at the time, now I am 15) and I still remember the way Dr. Aluru treated me and my sister. It was so bad that I'm leaving a review five years later. We were put on laughing gas and I guess Dr. Aluru didn't think we were old enough to understand what was going on and Dr. Aluru made very rude and unprofessional comments about my sisters teeth and breath which made her insecure about them for a long time. When I was put under laughing gas, Dr. Aluru and her assistant commented on how my mother never took care of our teeth, and she shamed my mother behind her back. Looking back at this I am still shocked and appalled on how unprofessional Dr. Aluru was. Do not go here unless you want your child to be insecure for the rest of their life. Dr Aluru should have her license revoked for being a PEDIATRIC dentist yet being horrible to children themselves. I am not one to hold grudges, but I was a kid. You were an adult. You should have known better.

Dr. Aluru is so kind. My son is very leary of strangers but has liked her since the day he met her. She has the warm personality of a pre-k teacher! And the staff are always friendly and timely!

Awesome experience! I have a son who is 10 with Autism all the way to A daughter who is to. They are super efficient and get my X-ray team in and out. Love this place!

Little Hippos took wonderful care of my baby boy. He's had two teeth extractions done here and some fillings that made him nervous but the staff take such great care that he does well now! He got a cleaning today all on his own! I will always recommend them to anyone with kids and families!
