Originally born in Nicaragua, was raised in Miami and graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences and minored in Chemistry from Florida International University (FIU). His efforts at FIU earned him acceptance to the prestigious Ivy League Institution of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. At his dental school, Dr. Abarca balanced a rigorous curriculum that earned him multiple scholarships for outstanding scholastics and community involvement. Dr. Abarca obtained his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University School, finishing Top of his Class.
He participates locally and globally on mission trips with, Mission of Mercy, and Somos Amigos in the Dominican Republic, respectively. As an active Diplomate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, he stays current with the newest medicines and dental treatments available for his patients. He has hospital privileges with the world-renowned Joe DiMaggios Children Hospital, and most recently in February 2022, he was granted hospital privileges with Holtz Children's Hospital located in Miami, Fl affiliated with Jackson Health.
Dr. Abarca has great chair side manners and provides patient care of the highest caliber. On a routine basis, he successfully performs, challenging pediatric procedures while keeping his patients safe and comfortable.
He lives in Miami and enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and cooking! On the weekends, he follows Real Madrid club de ftbol and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Dr. Abarca is passionate towards his patients and is here to meet the health care needs of our community.

Best dentist office I could've found in Miami for my young daughter. My girl was scared before her first visit but then didn't want to leave after the special treatment she received from everyone there. The friendliness of the front desk team, Yoshi's thoughtful explanation before each step of the visit & Dr. Abarca's gentle approach all made my daughter feel more comfortable than I could've imagined. Thank you for getting my girl excited to brush her teeth & look forward to the dentist.

Im so grateful to find this place. The Doctor and staff are attentive and welcoming. Dr. Abarca will take his time explaining what he's going to do and answers all of your questions. Everyone is very patient and they always make sure the kids and parents feel comfortable. Also if you have a baby that needs to have a lip/tongue tie correction his office performs laser corrections and they have the cutest recovery room where moms can nurse immediately after the procedure is done. You can bring your lactation consultant with you if you'd like. If you're looking for an office where you can feel like more than just a patient, look no further.

Dr. Abarca and the whole staff were incredible! I took my newborn for A consultation to determine if they had a lip/tongue tie. Dr. Abarca took his time and explained the procedure, the after care, the follow ups, the results EVERYTHING in such detail, it made us feel confident and listened to. He was empathetic to our experience and spoke to my baby as a patient. It was very sweet and made me feel so calm and like my baby was in very good hands. We have not done the procedure yet, but I was blown away with the care the doctor and staff had, they are very passionate about their work. It's very out of my way, but I'm glad I chose to take her here. The attention and service was outstanding!!

We had a great experience at my daughter's first dentist appointment. The staff is great since our first contact over the phone, very helpful and friendly. My daughter didn't let they to do the cleaning at the first time, they made an appointment a week later and recommended us to bring her own toothpaste, we came she loved and left saying she wants to come again. It makes the difference. Josh was very sweet and made my daughter play along and complete the job. 100% recommend!

Dr. Abarca is truly amazing. He is knowledgeable, talented and works well with my kids. Previous dentists have made my child very fearful and have complete breakdowns. However, at Little Champions my kid has had two procedures done with so much ease! Hands down one of the best pediatric dentists! I travel two hours for him to take care of my kids and will continue to do so.

I took my son here for his first dentist appointment. I was blown away by how amazing everyone in the office is. Everyone was so sweet, patient and they're all great with kids. The doctor was great as well, he answered the questions I had and explained how to keep maintaining good oral hygiene. The office was clean, and had a good space for my son to play and look at books. I love how they take the time to write all the kiddies names on the board as well! It's the little things honestly. So happy I found this office. I look forward to all future visits. 100% recommend.

I first was recommended to Little Champions by a friend of mine. The reason I needed a pediatric dentist is because my five-year-old daughter was experiencing pain from her back teeth. After having a consult we decided it was best for her to have all the dentistry completed all at once at the hospital with use of general anesthesia. The treatment went very well and the same night after the procedure she was feeling back to herself. The next day she was able to eat regular foods and attend school. I'm very happy with the dental work done on her. I also liked to thank the coordinator Karina who guided me through this process. The entire team made me feel safe and welcomed. I highly recommend Dr. Abarca and Little Champions Dental to my friends and family.

My daughter needed dentistry and the office is clean the staff was friendly .the doctor is compassionate and his assistant yoshi made my daughter feel safe . I highly recommend Dr Abarca and his staff .
