I have been a Pediatric Dentist for more than forty years! Born and raised in West Virginia. I love adventure and exploration! I completed my specialty training in Californias bay area then moved my family to Vancouver, BC to join a large private practice. My passion was always special needs and medically compromised children. So I left private practice and returned to hospitals as the Director of Oral Medicine and Surgery at Alberta Childrens Hospital and Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary, Alberta.
Ready for a new adventure I moved to Denver to become the Director of Dental Education at The Childrens Hospital where I trained dentists to become pediatric specialists. I continued my work with medically compromised children and became a subspecialist in the oral complications of cancer therapy, the oral problems of intubated premature neonates and cleft lip & palate.
Caring so deeply for such chronically ill children began to weigh much too heavily on me and I decided to return to private practice to be able to care for ALL children by creating Little Britches in 1997! So, here I am! I have raised my 3 grown children here and now Im watching my 4 grandchildren grow! I have built a beautiful practice for newborns to recent grads and promise to offer them the very best dental care anywhere. Come see for yourself!

Doctor Sam is Amazing My 12 yr old son needed some work done and I'm so glad I picked Little Britches! My son had tons of questions and Doctor Sam and the lead tooth queen Jo took their time to explain everything that was happening and needed to be done. They were so gentle and patient with him. The staff here are creme de la creme...seriously top notch. I feel so comfortable, trusting with this practice and recommend it to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist for their kids!!

Literally the best pediatric dentist in the US. We've traveled around a lot. Most recently, moved here from Los Angeles. In LA, every pediatric dentist insisted that there were cavities, issues, etc. One even tried to sell me a gold crown for a 5 year old!. The dentist here is AWESOME. He is thorough, kind and never insists on procedures your kids don't need. We are about to leave again, but this dentist is so awesome, we are seriously talking about flying back every six months just to see him. If you're looking for an honest and kind dentist, look no further. Oh, and the ladies who do the cleaning are equally awesome.

Wonderful experience. This was our first time going to a pediatric dentist versus a regular dentist for our five-year-old son. It was a great decision, the staff Is very knowledgeable and great with kiddos. We'll definitely be going back.

We have been beyond impressed with both Doctor A and Doctor Sam. Both my girls have been going here since they started getting teeth and I refuse to go anywhere else. We are now living and Louisivlle and we make the drive because they are that good. Recently Doctor Sam has gone above and beyond with one of our girls. She been available by phone when needed, has seen us during off hours, and squeezed us in when she was in lots of pain. They are both really good with kids and make the experience of going to the dentist fun. One of my girls even refers to Doctor Sam as her friend. Cannot recommend them enough!

Absolutely amazing experience. My 5yo had fun during the visit (clean up, x-rays and full exam), and even though we learned my little had some cavities, we were not shamed/over lectured; which made the experience 100% positive!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sam and the whole team at Little Britches. They are accommodating, reasonable, and truly gifted with children. My daughter just had to get her first filling and was terrified. When all was said and done, she sat up in her chair and announced that it was 'fun'. Hah. If you need a dentist for your kid(s), you should definitely check out Dr. Sam at Little Britches.

My kids really enjoy Little Britches. The staff, dental hygienist and dentist go out of their way to help them feel comfortable so they can relax. I really appreciate that the X-ray machines and other things are sized for kids. My kids like it so much they even ask to go to the dentist!

Dr. Abrams is amazing with kids. He came in on a day when he isn't normally in to see my son who seemed to have an infection in the mouth. He was so gentle and light-hearted with my son, which made my son (and me) so comfortable. I have always liked the service received from Little Britches.
