Dr. Brian Mooney obtained his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Prior to his advanced dental and medical training at Tufts University he attended Western Connecticut State University where he earned a degree in biology. Additionally, Dr. Mooney spent four years in the United States Air Force as an Electronic Warfare Technician, working on advanced fighter aircraft.
After graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Brian Mooney completed a hospital-based residency program at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he acquired advanced training in the specialties of dentistry and the integration of the complexities of hospital surgery.
Dr. Brian Mooney completed rigorous implant training under Dr. Carl Misch, founder of the world-recognized Misch International Implant Institute. Dr. Mooney has obtained both his Misch Fellowship, and a Fellowship in The International Congress of OralImplantologists (FICOI). Dr. Brian Mooney is a member of the International Congress of Implantology, The American Dental Association, The Connecticut State Dental Association and the Litchfield County Dental Society.
Dr. Brian Mooney practices at Litchfield Hills Family Dental Practice with his wife Dr. Bola Mooney at a state-of-the-art facility, which provides all phases of dentistry, from general dental services to oral surgery, dental implants, surgical and non- surgical gum disease therapy, root canal therapy, crown and bridges, dentures, therapeutic Botox for TMJ and cosmetic dentistry.
In addition, Dr. Brian Mooney is exceptionally skilled in laser dentistry, and offers minimally invasive periodontal treatment, Novocain-free fillings, anti-snoring protocols such as NightLase, and a rejuvenated facial appearance with SmoothLase.
Dr. Brian Mooney is married to Dr. Bola Mooney and is constantly on the go while enjoying shuttling his three children around. He also enjoys relaxation time by riding his motorcycle and carrying out projects that involve building and constructing various projects.
Dr. Bola Lawal-Mooney obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bola Lawal-Mooney attended The University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Biology, prior to her advanced dental and medical training at Boston University.
After graduating from The Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Bola Lawal-Mooney completed a hospital-based residency program at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, which provided her with valuable and detailed expertise in handling urgent dental emergencies.
Dr. Bola Lawal-Mooney practices dentistry with her husband Dr. Brian Mooney in their state-of-the-art dental office at the Litchfield Hills Family Dental Practice, where she focuses on pediatric dentistry, Invisalign, tooth extractions, root canal therapy, and therapeutic Botox for TMJ treatment. Dr. Bola Lawal-Mooneys advanced knowledge, delicate care and patience with children continues to help expand her pediatric dental practice.

Omg I don't even know where to start doctor Mooney Bryan was my dentist like 17 years ago and because he didn't take my insurance anymore I had to go somewhere else but always want him to be my dentist again this is the story my daughter is 11yeasr old and last week she bumped into another kid at school and broke her front tooth almost completely there was only little bit left I went crazy her dentist place didn't have a doctor for that day and the next day so I took her to the children hospital in Hartford so they can do something until I find a dentist but in the meen time I have to see her suffer and I suffer too as a mom then I went to doctor Mooney omg they took my daughter right away no appointment I called at 9:00 and they told me to bring her at 10:45 the feeling of relieve is unbelievable there is no price for everything they did for my daughter I can't thank them enough he was able to give my daughter her beautiful smile back and she was able to eat again I don't really know how much more to say everyone in my family is impressed with her tooth they keep on asking me what he did because they said it even looks better then before.. thanks so much doctor Bryan Mooney I think I spelled your last name correctly if not apologize me and I told you one time long time ago GOD bless your hands.

LHFD has been a godsend for me. I needed a second opinion, and Dr. Brian Mooney fit me in on the same day that I called. He used his on site CT Scan and showed me exactly what needed to be done. Two weeks and two visits later and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr. Mooney and the entire LHFD staff!

I drive over an hour to come to Litchfield Hills Family Dentistry..if it was further I'd still drive that's what I think of the Doctors... Absolutely Fantastic!! Professional...Clean ..Kind but most of all they really know what they're doing..they're patient and don't just do a service to do it.. they are perfectionists!!!!

This is a Terriffic practice! I had an urgent need for a root care; my dentistry site only has an endodontist there one day a week and could not accommodate an appointment for me for at least 4 to 6 weeks. They told me to find an endodontist closer to where I lived. Offered no assistance or referral names. I found Litchfield Hills Family Dental thru a Google search. I have driven by many times and always found it to be an attractive practice site where it's located. I was thrilled to see the great reviews, to see that there was an endodontist on site, and when I called I could've been given an appointment the next day but due to my schedule I couldn't accommodate it and they saw me within 48 hours. This is a full-service family practice dental site with endodontic service as well! The office suite is beautiful! Dr."B" Mooney has a great personality. His team is outstanding. I've never Experienced such courteous service from beginning to end. A+ + for this group. I work in healthcare myself and quality service is so essential. I am super impressed and plan to transfer my care.

Litchfield Hills Family Dental Practice is the best dental office I have ever been to. The office is beautiful, well landscaped and extremely welcoming. Dr. Bola Mooney is amazing with children, very gentle, patient and caring. Not only does she make sure the practice is running effectively like clockwork she takes the time to get to know her patients on a personal level and treats everyone with care and respect. Dr. Brian Mooney is a brilliant doctor, his work is exemplary and meticulous I am constantly getting compliments on my teeth and it is thanks to these two doctors. This is truly a warm family practice. Everyone should go here!

Before moving to Litchfield Hills Family Dental, our family was using 3 separate dental offices. We had one office for our kids, and my wife and I had long standing relationships with different dental practices. In search of a better option, we surveyed friends to find a dental office that could make everyone happy. Based on strong recommendations, we brought the family to Litchfield Hills to see Doctors Bola and Brian Mooney, and have finally found an office that everyone loves! Our family of 4 has used many of their services, including regular cleanings and fillings, Invisalign for my wife, wisdom teeth removal for me (all 4 at once!), pulling stubborn baby teeth, and fixing several cracks from grinding. Honestly, every procedure has been painless and easy, even the wisdom teeth, and visits to the dentist are completed without complaints from anyone. I recommend Litchfield Hills Family Dental often, and have always received rave reviews.

Dr. Bola Mooney has offered exceptional dental services to my children over the past 4 years. She has done extensive work to repair damage that was done to my older son's teeth by a previous dentist when he was a toddler. Dr. Mooney is extremely patient and kind to my children, they look forward to seeing her for their visits. I hate going to the dentist, so I feel compelled to write a review for Litchfield Hills Family Dental, after having two great experiences. On both occasions, Dr. Mooney saw me for urgent issues and managed to get me in before a pending oral disaster. Despite squeezing me in, Dr. Mooney not only took the time to address my issue, but gave me a full review of preventative care. It's easy to see Dr. Mooney really cares about his patients. I think it's also important to note that the dental hygienist and office staff were not just polite, but super friendly, something that really helps a nervous patient. Best, Kristin

They're compassionate perfectionists, demonstrating concern for all aspects of their work : medical, aesthetic, and patient comfort. Kudos to the entire staff! Beautiful state of the art offices.

I agree the office is clean and beautiful. I will never recommend this office to anyone. My family switched after our long time Dentice retired. I was told my son was having a (like one) cavity filled. I was never shown the X-rays, invites in to the office. Nothing. He came out shaken and with 5 fillings! Apparently she had a new later she was trying out on him. The attendant told me at the front desk. I was absolutely appalled. Totally unprofessional. I was also told he needed braces and we have to go to her recommended Dentice. The whole thing was awful. I have sense gone to another Dentice for second opinion and was told the fillings were not necessarily needed and not done correctly. They are sticky and need to be removed! This is unacceptable. The fact that my child has to go through this again in fact is just simply not right. I would not send any child to this practice. I am very sorry to have to post this as I support family/small businesses completely but I just do not want anyone to ever have to go through this.
