Dr. Lisa Mayes and her husband, Dr. Greg, have been offering healthy smiles to their friends and neighbors in Cary, NC since 1989. Dr. Lisa is a a lifelong Carolinian. She earned both her bachelors degree and dental degree from the University of North Carolina. She also completed a one-year postgraduate residency program before entering private practice. She and Dr. Greg enjoy spending time with their wonderful daughter, Kathryn.

Dr. J. Gregory Mayes received his dental degree from the University of North Carolina after he graduated from San Diego State University, where he studied biology. He has significant postgraduate education in cosmetic dentistry, dental crowns, bridges, veneers, and tooth-colored restoration using modern composite materials. He also has completed a dental sleep medicine mini-residency at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is married to Dr. Lisa.

Born and raised in Cary, Dr. Ike Edwards was a patient of the practice long before he joined the team. As an undergraduate student, he shadowed Drs. Greg and Lisa Mayes and then worked alongside them as a dental assistant before going to dental school. Dr. Edwards received a BS in architectural design from East Carolina University, which gave him a keen eye for aesthetics. Then, he earned his DDS from UNC School of Dentistry. He remains dedicated to lifelong learning and incorporates the latest technologies into the practice of dentistry.

Dr. Edwards has received extensive postgraduate education in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers, dental implants, and TMJ therapies. He is an Elite Invisalign provider and member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Crown Council. He believes in conservative dentistry so his patients can maintain a healthy smile throughout their lifetime. He offers same-day crowns and many other convenient treatments for his patients.
