With more than 24 years of experience in the dental field, I am able to address many of the questions and concerns our patients have regarding their treatment. The greatest part of my job is getting to meet new people and seeing our patients happy, beautiful smiles the day their braces come off. I am the consummate student: I take every opportunity, not only to expand my knowledge, but participate in advancements in orthodontics. As the president of the PRIMUS Study Group, I am able to interact with and learn from premier orthodontists from around the country. I am also a frequent guest lecturer at my alma mater, the University of Iowa, which is regarded as having the number-one orthodontic program in the country. My dedication and commitment to providing my patients with the most current knowledge about their treatments is what inspires me to be an eternal student.
A native of Glencoe, IL, I have lived in Wrigleyville for the past 26 years and love it! I have an incredibly supportive wife named Kristi and we have four beautiful children: Belle, Emmet, Lev, and Aviva. I love any activity that I can share with my wife and kids. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, sledding, snowball fights, and making snowmen. If it involves fresh air and my family, I am all the way in! I also have a deep love of music from all genres, so I feel fortunate to live in a place with such rich and abundant live music.
Dr. Lippitz is a member of theAmerican Association ofOrthodontists,Midwestern Society of Orthodontists,Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and the PRIMUS Study Group. He serves as the current vice president of the PRIMUS Study Group where he lectures regularly, and has served as president of the Illinois Society of Orthodontists. He has also served as an assistant professor at the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois, a former chairman of the Orthodontic Section of the Illinois Board of Examiners, past president of the Illinois Society of Orthodontics, and the past president of Northwestern University faculty advisory board.
Dr. Lippitz is an Invisalign Certified Provider, specializes in TMJ treatments, and works with both children and adults. He has been practicing in the greater Chicago area since 1956. His work has been published inNorthwestern University Research Review. Dr. Lippitzs philosophy is to create anatomic, physiological, and psychological improvements for patients in need. He enjoys the happiness expressed by patients and the joy of spending time with them.
Dr. Lippitz is a native of Chicago, and has lived in Glencoe since 1970. He has one daughter and three sons: Deena, Brad, Jonathan, and Stefen. Between these four, Dr. Lippitz has nine grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. Lippitz enjoys running, fishing, and studying a wide range of topics such as Biblical studies, advanced physics, philosophy, world languages, music, theater, and numismatics. He is currently involved in the Northwestern University Dental Alumni Association.
