Dr. Lipkowitz graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery with honors in 1986. After graduating he was selected for a hospital-based residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He started his practice in Magnolia, MA in 1990.
He has published many articles on Cosmetic and Implant dentistry as well as Quality Care issues in local and national dental journals. Dr. Lipkowitz served for many years on the executive board of the North Shore Dental Society and is the former editor of the North Shore Dental Society monthly newsletter.
Danielle is a resident of Ipswich, Massachusetts. She comes to us with medical experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, Certified Phlebotomist, and Certified Dental Assistant. Danielle completed the Dental Assisting Program at North Shore Community College and received her radiology certificate at Boston University. She enjoys helping patients overcome their nervousness and anxieties while assisting Dr.Lipkowitz provide caring, quality dental care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children at the beach, hiking, and attending the childrens sporting events.
Emily has a varied background having worked in fields ranging from energy conservation to hospitality to non-profit social services. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Plant Biology. Emily enjoys being part of a team that delivers excellence in care in and out of the dental chair. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, museums, working in her yard, and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles with and without her 3 children.
Cathy is a native of Gloucester and a veteran of the United States Air Force. She has traveled to various parts of the world and has lived in the Philippines, Alaska, Virginia, and Idaho. She earned her Associates of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, Massachusetts. She has been employed by Dr. Lipkowitz since February 1999.
Sarah is a native of Gloucester and has lived here all her life. Her education is in Criminal Justice and she studied at both North Shore Community College and Salem State. When she is not spreading cheer at the office, she is at home with her three children. She also rescues animals.
Diana is a resident of Manchester. She worked as a kindergarten teacher for many years and shes passionate about supporting young learners. She brings a positive attitude and a smile to every setting. When shes not working, she loves traveling & spending time with her 2 children!

Doctor Rob has a thorough new patient exam that encouraged an open conversation regarding setting goals for now and the future. I also had a great experience with Cathy, the hygienist. She walked me through their new cleaning process, made me feel extremely comfortable, and my teeth are the cleanest they've ever been. This practice has a very happy and competent staff. I will be returning for all of my dental needs and highly recommend them.

Dr Rob Lipkowitz is the best dentist I have ever seen. Very accurate diagnostics, great appointment availability, usually no waiting time or running late, personable and friendly character, and available for emergencies. I feel well taken care of in his practice. Everyone there deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

I have been going to Lipkowitz Dental Associates for several years and always receive outstanding, caring and competent service. Dr. Lipkowitz makes sure I am comfortable and not scared even when needing a bigger procedure done. He follows up with a call after hours to inquire about how I am doing. Staff are very professional yet personal in the care they provide. From Dr. Lipkowitz, Cathy - the lead hygienist, and Emily-office manager, there is an unsurpassed attention to detail. They have state of the art dental care technology and are very in tune with your optimum level of comfort while providing treatment. My family and I have been their patients going on 40 years.

Amusing to me that my 5 stars say loved it, as dental work is not really lovable but the dentist and his staff certainly are. I have been seeing Dr. Lipkowitz since he began practicing here (30-ish years) and always feel the quality of care is excellent. Dr. L is health conscious so the practice is quite holistic. (no amalgam) I have had all sorts of work done, crowns, root canals, "fillings," bite adjustments and routine cleanings. All the work stands the test of time. Comfort-wise, everyone is accommodating about the chair position, suction devices, dental dams and such. This eliminates any anticipatory dread and the friendliness of the staff almost makes me want to visit. Twice per year this asks for a review. It is always the same good report but this time I must say the overdose of Covid protocols is driving me crazy. It will be great when things become normal again. And again asking for another review. All the early part of the review stands, but I am finding the over doing of the Covid protocols even more annoying. Living quite a distance away and having to wait in my car to be allowed in is not pleasant but arriving early is the only way to assure being on time.

It's never the most pleasant experience going to the dentist but since going to Dr. Lipkowitz a number of years ago I never have any apprehension about a visit to his office. He also insists that everyone in his office be the best.
