I came to Dr. Chong as recommended by my dentist. It was in regards to an urgent matter regarding saving a tooth that had significant bone loss. Unfortunately, what I received was incredibly poor bedside manner. After being confronted with the understandably traumatic news that I would indeed be losing a tooth, Dr. Chong sped right past that to shaming me for my gum hygiene. Shaming me for the poor decisions of 16 year old me which I obviously cannot change. He said that other dentists will mask the truth in order to keep you coming back. Well, Dr. Chong did not tell me any truth that I didn't not already know, so what was the point of all that? Shame is the number one reason that keeps people from seeing a dentist and receiving the proper help that they need. The people Dr. Chong wants to shame are those that will never ever set foot in his office. The people that do manage to come in actively seek help and shame is not an effective tool.

Dr Chong is great - he is through, and he works with insurance to maximize the benefit. He teaches you how to keep your gum healthy every time I visit him - he is struck about it and I appreciate that. I have no complain about him.
