Dr. Lintner was born and raised in Manistee, MI. She attended theUniversity of Michigan School of Dentistryand graduated in 2000 and moved to Kalamazoo after graduation. She is currently a member of theAmerican Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental organization for Conscious Sedation,American Association of Women Dentists, as well as the Kalamazoo Valley Dental Association,Michigan Dental Association, and American Dental Association. Dr. Lintners training includes advanced certification in administering oral conscious sedation, esthetic dentistry and Invisalign (clear braces). She has also taken courses to state of art techniques, such as Lumineers and other techniques in endodontics and restorative dentistry. She is a graduate of the Dawson Center for Advanced Education in Dentistry, which focuses on cosmetic dentistry and full mouth restoration.
Dr. Emily Smajda was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After high school, she moved to lower Michigan and attended dental hygiene school. While practicing part-time as a dental hygienist, she finished her bachelors degree in Human Biology at Michigan State University. She then pursued her doctorate at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated in 2019.
Following dental school, Dr. Smajda moved to West Michigan and began her career by working in the public health sector of dentistry. Working in public health allowed Dr. Smajda to be well-trained in handling dental emergencies, oral surgery, prosthodontic treatments, and working with children and patients with dental anxiety. She is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
When she is not doing dentistry, Dr. Smajda enjoys spending time with her family - especially her nieces and nephew, golfing, traveling throughout Northern Michigan, and hiking with Bodhi - her Bernese Mountain Dog.
Dr. Keefer studied biomedical sciences at Grand Valley State University and obtained his dental degree from the University of Michigan. He finds joy in being a dentist because of the opportunities it gives him to create lasting relationships with his patients and to help those in need.
Meet Melissa! She is one of our full-time Registered Dental Hygienists. Born and raised in our very own Kalamazoo! She is a full time practitioner and part-time clinical faculty and advisory board member for Kalamazoo Valley Community College's Dental Hygiene Department. With over twenty years experience, she prides herself on helping others achieve optimal health while building relationships. She excels at individualizing the patient experience!
Melissais registered to administer local anesthesia, nitrous oxide and experienced in performing periodontal procedures for patients who are consciously sedated. She is trained to use the diode laser and is well versed in successfully treating individuals with periodontal conditions.
Outside of work,Melissa is married with one of four children left in 'the nest.' They are an active bunch enjoying a variety of activities that include outdoor adventuring, cycling, weight training, travel, armature DIY projects, and attending the youngest 's many soccer games. They have two dogs, affectionately called 'the boys' who she 's happy to exchange stories about at your next visit!!
Kristin joined Lindenwoods Dental in 2018. She has been working as a dental hygienist since 2016. She is looking forward to growing with our office and providing the excellent care that each patient deserves. Kristin is from the Vicksburg area, she has two young children and one stepson who keep her very busy when she is not in the office. Kristin also loves to spend time with her pitbull, Apollo and her cat, Leo.
Shari began working with the office in 2004 as a treatment coordinator and is now our Office Manager. She enjoys working with the great family at Lindenwoods Dental. She is married and has two daughters and a son-in-law. In her off time she loves to travel, golf and bike.
Amy has been in the dental profession since 1998, when she started working for Dr. Lustig and has continued with Dr. Lintner, since 2002. She enjoys working with her team at Lindenwoods Dental and she thrives on taking care of patients as if they were family. In her spare time, she enjoys indoor and outdoor sports and spending time with family and friends.
Danielle has been working in the dental field for 6 years, 4 of those years at Lindenwoods Dental as a Treatment Coordinator. She is married and has a son who will be 2 in July. She enjoys singing and photography. She is looking forward to watching her son grow and enjoying time with her husband.
Michelle joined Lindenwoods Dental in 2019 as a Support Team Member. She worked in the dental field a while ago and is enjoying being back in it with the team at Lindenwoods Dental. She has been married for 25 years. She and her husband have a grown son who is married, with the hopes of grandkids someday. She spends her empty nest days as an author of four books, capturing memories as a photographer, and painting abstract art.
