We take the time to get to know each on a personal level so that we can create better human connection. We believe this approach builds trust and ultimately leads to healthier, more beautiful smiles. See what real patients have to say about their experience.

When I took over Burstein Orthodontics to create Lin Orthodontics, I wanted to continue Dr. Bursteins goal of creating exquisite, beautiful, natural smiles. Lin Orthodontics will continue the commitment to providing our patients with exceptional care in an enjoyable and compassionate environment. Im devoted to making you feel like part of our orthodontic family.

I grew up in Springfield, IL and attended Southern Illinois University (SIU) Edwardsville, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. Following my passion for dentistry, I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating Cum Laude from the SIU School of Dental Medicine.

From there, I further honed my skills as a general dentist in the diagnosis and treatment of various advanced restorative cases and gained additional surgical experience at the General Practice Residency at the Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH. It was there I realized my passion for orthodontics. So after finishing my residency, I moved to Atlanta for the first time to attend the Georgia School of Orthodontics. I graduated with my Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and then took the extra step to become board-certified through the American Board of Orthodontics.

After completing my extensive orthodontic training, I moved to St. Louis, MO, where I practiced orthodontics full-time. While I loved living and practicing in the St. Louis area, my time in Atlanta continued to pull me back to Georgia. So in 2020, I returned to Atlanta to join the Burstein Orthodontics team!

I want to have a positive, constructive impact in the lives of my patients and the community. I want to help people gain both pride and confidence as we work together to transform their teeth into health vibrant smiles.

I know picking the right orthodontist is a big decision, and I want to let you know that we do not take that decision lightly. Its why we use the best technology. Its why we hired the best people. We pay attention to every detail of this office. We want the best, because you deserve the best. Every time your child sits in my chair, I will be treating them with the same level of care that I would treat my own child.

Its more important than ever tobrush and flossregularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment.

What can you eat? Lets talk about what you shouldnt eat! For the first day or so, stick to soft foods. Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables. Before long, youll be able to bite a cucumber again. But youll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as youre wearing braces.

When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and teeth may be tender to biting pressures for 3 5 days. Take Tylenol or whatever you normally take for a headache or discomfort. The lips, cheeks, and tongue may also become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become accustomed to the braces. We will supply wax to put on the braces in irritated areas to lessen discomfort.

To successfully complete orthodontic treatment, the patient must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the rubber bands or other appliances as prescribed. Lack of cooperation following instructions and damaged appliances lengthen the treatment time so, please follow instructions!

A Proxabrush is an interdental (between the teeth) toothbrush that you may use to clean underneath and around your wires and braces. Use the Proxabrush gently to avoid damaging your wires. The Proxabrush will help you to clean your braces while maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

Peroxyl, a hydrogen peroxide antiseptic mouth rinse, will reduce inflammation to your gums and cheeks. Peroxyl helps to prevent infection and decrease irritation that may develop from your braces. Rinse your mouth with two teaspoons of Peroxyl (half a capful) for one minute and then spit it out. You may use Peroxyl up to four times daily following your schedule for brushing: after meals (or after school) and before bed.

Just like using peroxide for a scrape on your skin, Peroxyl helps the inside of your mouth heal. Peroxyl can be used for general irritation caused by your braces or for canker sores, cheek bites and other minor temporary injuries to the gums.

Brush your removable appliance every day as a part of your regular brushing and flossing schedule. Because food particles and plaque can accumulate on your appliance just as they do on your teeth, soak the appliance daily. Dissolve a Polident, Efferdent or other denture-cleaning tablet in a glass of tap water at room temperature and soak your appliance once every day. Your appliance will taste better, and you will prevent plaque and bacterial accumulation.

My elder daughter was treated by Dr. Burnstein. Now my younger daughter is taking treatment from Dr. Lin. I would totally recommend it! The whole team is very talented. They are friendly, fun, knowledgable, and very good at what they do. Dr. Lin explains everything how the care is going to be. She has lot of patience. They are the best.

I started with Dr. Burstein at Burstein Orthodontics before he exited the practice and left me in the care of Dr. Lin under Lin Orthodontics. It was a very warm handoff and I liked her immediately. Dr. Lin did such an amazing job with my braces. She and her team were friendly, warm, and skilled as they worked on my smile every month for each appointment. What I loved most about this location in Alpharetta was how close it was to my house and the people. I felt taken care of every visit even if I was grumpy about having braces in my early 20s. I would recommend anyone to this practice and Dr. Lin's care and expertise. She also loves cats! We bonded over this as well. If I had to do it all over again I would absolutely go here. This photo was from the day I got my braces off. 5/5
