Caden Lim, DMD, MPH, earned his Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (University of Pennsylvania) and Masters of Public Health (University of Pittsburgh), where he completed a graduate program in periodontics. He also attended a graduate program in prosthodontics at the University of Michigan.
Clinical Excellence Dr. Lim was appointed to the Clinical Faculty at Allegheny General Hospital where he served as Attending Periodontist in the Division of Dentistry, working along side notable faculty, clinicians and specialists from several disciplines including consulting with cardiologists and cancer specialists.
He is currently an Associate Adjunctive Professor, Department of Periodontics, at the University of Southern California, School of Dental Medicine and an Associate Adjunctive Professor and a frequent lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Lim has participated in several research projects, is actively involved in many professional organizations including the ADA, CDA, American Academy of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists; and has served in several charitable organizations as a volunteer dentist.
Dr. Lim has attracted a highly qualified, expertly trained staff to assist you in all aspects of the practice. From our back office assistants to our front office, youll find a practiced, steady hand and an accommodating attitude.
Jennifer brings 14 years of dental experience to Newport Beach Perio & Implant Center. Jennifer and the Doctor built the office from inception in 2007 and has past experience in all aspects of dentistry including chairside dental assisting, business team associate and office manager. She works closely with the Doctor and the team at Newport Beach Implant Center to ensure that our vision of promoting excellent oral health with genuine patient care is always a top priority for her. Her outstanding charismatic ways and friendly smile will definitely make you feel welcome and comfortable in our office. Jennifer lives in Huntington Beach and loves spending time with her family, watching baseball games, and reading.

Dr. Lim is so kind and professional. He has saved my teeth and gums. He is amazing and so is his staff, Jennifer and Stephanie.

I had dental surgery on my lower jaw with Dr. Lim yesterday. He is very proficient and professional at what he does. He is knowledgeable and he prepares you in advance on what to expect during surgery and after. I was very fearful of the process after-all it is called 'surgery'. I have to say that the whole procedure had considerably less pain and stress than I have prepared myself for, thanks to Dr. Lim and his excellent crew. Stephanie and Jennifer were professional and helpful, and provided enough preparation and care to make the process as effortless as possible. Today Dr. Lim called me himself to make sure I am alright, and he gave me his personal cell phone number just in case I need anything over the weekend. He did not have one of his staff members make the call, he called himself. In today's world it is hard to find such service and professionalism. Thank you.

Dr. Lim really cares about his patients. I just had gum surgery for 11 teeth and I really felt like I was in good hands from start to finish. Dr. Lim is very intelligent and knowledgeable. Dr. Lim performed an immediate implant on one of my molar teeth in May 2014. He put a crown over the implant tooth in December 2014. Since then, I have had two major infections on the implant tooth. Also, the gum around the implant is swollen and is bleeding constantly. Dr. Lim has never admitted to any faults with the implant. As a result, I had to seek a second opinion as to why there is constant pain, infection, and bleeding on the implant tooth. I sought the opinions of two periodontal specialists who both confirmed that there is bone loss around the implant and that the implant is failing. When I confronted Dr. Lim with this, he was defensive and stated repeatedly that he provided standard care; therefore, whether the implant was successful or not was not his responsibility. I concluded that Dr. Lim is either incompetent (he didn't know that my implant was not successful) or dishonest (he may have known that the implant was not successful but he acted as if everything was okay). Based on this conclusion, I lost trust in Dr. Lim as my dentist and went to one of the periodontal specialists to remove the failing implant and replace it with a new one. Also, I filed a complaint against Dr. Lim with the Dental Board of California.
