Dr. George Liles grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, and graduated from the Montgomery Academy in 1997. He graduated from Auburn University in 2001 and began dental school at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2003. Dr. Liles earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2007. Following dental school, he trained for two years (2008-2010) at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and the Childrens Hospital of Alabama to earn his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry. While there, Dr. Liles also earned a certificate from the Sparks Center in Birmingham for his work treating patients with special healthcare needs.
Dr Ward is a full-time associate who joined our practice in 2021. He is a recent graduate of UAB School of Dentistry. Dr. Ward is a general dentist who is concentrating his practice on pediatric dentistry. He plans on practicing with us for a year before enrolling in an intense 2 year pediatric dental residency next year. We are excited to have Dr. Ward!
Dr. Alex Ward grew up in Andalusia, AL, and graduated from Andalusia High School in 2013. He then attended Auburn University and obtained a degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017. His passion for dentistry was fueled by observing his father, a general dentist, throughout his life. Dr. Ward obtained his doctorate of dental medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. It was there that Dr. Ward discovered his love for pediatric dentistry. His goal is to make dentistry an easy and fun process for kids. Dr. Ward is married to his high school sweetheart, Alli, and they are thrilled to be back in Auburn serving the community.
Dr Reaves is a part-time associate who joined our practice in 2021. Dr. Reaves is a pediatric dentist who completed her pediatric dental residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Reaves has years of experience treating children. Dr Reaves plans on working with us part time as she gets her own private practice up and running in Birmingham, AL. We are excited to have her as part of our team!
I was born and raised in Auburn, Alabama. I chose to stay in my hometown to attend Auburn University where I got my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry from 2008-2012. The highlight of each of the first three years was the spring break dental mission trip where I had my first experiences treating patients with great dental needs and a true lack of access to care. These trips also provided a unique opportunity to work on children as I realized how much I loved the joys and challenges of treating young patients.
I completed a two-year pediatric dental residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina where I learned how to provide the best care possible to both children and patients with special needs. Following residency, I moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where I worked for a large family run pediatric dental practice.
During that time, my husband and I had two children, Henry and Lucy, who have kept us very busy. I look forward to bringing the skills I have gained to the children and special needs patients of Alabama.

Cathy was born in Rome NY and lived in several different states throughout her childhood due to her dads air force career. After graduating from high school, she attended Opelika technical college where she received a degree and license in cosmetology. After 8 years of working in the hair industry, she changed to the dental field in 1988. She attended the University of Birmingham dental hygiene program and became a licensed dental hygienist in 1991. She is out clinical office coordinator and hygienist. Cathy and her husband live in Opelika and enjoy traveling whenever possible. She has 3 children, 2 sons and one daughter, who are all married, 4 grandchildren and two step sons.

If I could I would give 10 stars. Looking forward for next visit. My husband and I left the office very impressed of the amount of professionalism, engagement of the entire staff but mainly how kind each one of you felt. We feel blessed that our boys had their first time life Dentist visit here

We have had cleanings here for years. My daughter had her first cavity and she had to have a crown. They did let me go back with her because I asked. I was so grateful. They were so sweet with my girl. They held her hands. They constantly checked with her to make sure she was feeling okay. Dr. Liles was so sweet and fun. My kids always look forward to going here and our experience with her getting a crown has only made me love Liles Smiles more. I am so appreciative to them all.

The best pediatric dentist we have ever met! The staff is so friendly and kind! We couldn't have asked for a better experience with our child. We will always come here for all of our dentistry needs! Thank you for always being so good to our child.

The staff is so incredibly awesome! I've never felt like an inconvenience to any of them. Dr. Liles is so straight forward and makes sure every question you have is answered. My kids feel so comfortable coming here as well.

I will give 2 stars because it is a clean place and everyone is nice (of what we as parents do see). I went back for the cleaning of both my kids but then they took my son back for his dental work by himself. He came back and we got in the car and he was SCREAMING in pain. My son is a tough kid (5) and doesn't normally cry when he gets hurt (or when he had his last cavities filled). Hes had fillings before with shots. Well I call Dr Liles personal number and he brushes it off and almost laughs at me saying kids will cry to get attention or because the numbing meds feel weird wearing off. Well he tells me he had to take the root out and that could be sore for a while (he NEVER ONCE told us before leaving that he did a ROOT CANAL on a 5 YEAR OLD!!! AND SENT HIM HOME WITH NO PAIN MEDS and then brushed it off that most kids just overreact!!!.... I won't be taking my kids back. Also, just a heads up parents... while I was in there the mom before us came back in the building to complain and say that her son just told her they kept telling him to be quiet and stop being loud and to calm down.... non of this is acceptable!! Just be cautious or at least make them let you go back with your children. Dr Liles does good dental work just him or his assistants need WAY better table manners!

Very odd place where parents have to wait in cars and young children are unaccompanied for because of faux protocol. The doc seemed very rush. The front desk very rude and gossiping, if I'm coming to a dentist appointment i expect to communicate to the dentist directly in the same room not the staff let alone reception pertaining to minor children. Very strange way of running a pediatric dentistry heard children screaming unfortunately parents were in cars waiting. Also, when i try to go back to accompany my child i was giving some faux medical lingo. My child ended up having a cracked tooth from whatever treatment he had received from here. Also, the doc and his staff question why i decided to pull out of a treatment for my other child because of the methods recommended when it was not needed in the first place. On top of weeks to months of having appointments set out. Will not be returning.

Love Dr.Liles! He's very patient and understanding and a caring doctor!!! The staff is extremely helpful and caring as well. Office is very neat and clean. My children love it there.

Worth the 40 minute drive! Very clean and very friendly staff. My 3 yo had a great visit, and the lady who first looked at her teeth and gave her prizes (I didn't get her name) was so so sweet to my daughter. Dr Liles was great too. Her old dentist no one was no where near as friendly to us as this office was. I'm so glad I switched her dentist!!

Okay so my son is 3 and today he had his very first dentist appointment. We get there and Ms.Walker greets us in our car to come in. We went back and she did a great job cleaning his teeth made him very comfortable through the process. They notice the start of a small cavity in one of his back teeth.We were able to have it fixed while we were there. The whole staff was awesome. VERY FRIENDLY we will be returning thank you to everyone today yall are awesome.

Dr. Lyes and his staff is the best! My grand daughter went in for the first time alone, and wasn't afraid! I think I was the one uneasy because not knowing what's going on with your child is frightening....Rest assured the staff made me feel that she was in good hands! Plus she was so excited for being a big girl, and she got a prize! & excited about brushing her teeth.
