Dr. Blanco received her right to practice dentistry from the State of California Board of Dental Examiners in 1986 and has been continuously practicing since then in the West Covina area. She received her Doctor of Dental Science degree in Nicaragua in 1978, her Masters in Orthodontia from Madrid, Spain in 1980.
Dr. Blanco attended the University of Southern Californias New Technological Advancements in Forensie Dentistry, Periodontics, Endodontics, and Oral Pathology, Cerinate Porcelain Laminate Placement workshop, and she continues to travel all over the country to attend learning seminars, workshops, and courses to master the latest dentistry techniques and technology.

La Puente location. Front office girls, dental assistants, and Dr. Kim are all very friendly and very attentive. Would highly recommend them.

I went in for a dental cleaning and x-rays. The front desk girl was friendly and kind. Doctor Ligia Blanco was nice but does not have good hands and isn't careful as to how she touches your mouth, reminded me of when you open a kitchen drawer and carelessly move things around to find a spoon or something. She kept bumping the mirror tool to my teeth carelessly, and pulled my lips and cheeks in a very uncomfortable manner. Dr. Blanco told her dental assistant/hygienist to do a prophy, it made no sense to me since I was expecting to get my teeth cleaned. My "cleaning" known as a (prophylaxis) is a teeth polishing that literally took 4 minutes for my entire mouth and was very poorly done by dental assistant/hygienist. Why would they do a polish over a regular cleaning? My back molars still have plaque, and so do my teeth. A dentist and hygienist should always communicate to the patient what the findings are, solutions, what they're about to do, and explain what to expect. I also had to ask if I had any cavities before they told me. This was a bad experience for me and I would not recommend this dentistry to anyone.

Not only are they professional but also caring to the individual needs of the client. I suffer from extreme anxiety. The whole staff is always understanding, they do everything that is possible to make me feel at ease.

I had the good fortune of finding Dr. Blanco a few years ago and am I happy with her care. I needed a root canal done and was nervous about it because of stories I had heard from others about their experiences with the root canal procedure with other dentists. Dr. Blanco explained the procedure in detail and is a knowledgeable and experienced professional. She put my fears at ease. During the procedure, she made sure that I was comfortable and not experiencing any pain. I left her office knowing I had received the best dental care available. My advice to others is that a root canal does not have to be a procedure filled with fear, discomfort, or pain if it is done by Dr. Blanco. As long as Dr. Blanco is practicing dentistry in this part of the state, I will keep her as my dentist because I know she cares more about the patient than the fee and will not hesitate to go the extra distance to make sure her patients' dental needs are met with the best of her abilities. I have recommended her to many of my friends.
