Dr. Adam Poyfair is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He also earned a Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Science with a Chemistry Minor at Brigham Young University. While attending Case Western, Dr. Poyfair was very active in student government and attended many extracurricular education courses. He served as his Class Representative while in dental school.
Having been a member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Poyfair enjoys being active within the local dental community. He has served as Chairman of the South Sound Free Dental Day Design Committee, which helps to serve hundreds of local residents with free dental services. He has volunteered his free time with Medical Teams International to provide free dental care and education to underpriviliged school children. Dr. Poyfair enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is proficient in many disciplines including: Crowns/Veneers, Extractions, Root Canals, Implant placement and Traditional and Clear Braces.
Dr. Poyfair is proud to have called Washington State home his whole life. Dr. Poyfair enjoys spending his free time playing Dad and taking his four children to various activities, as well as cheering on the Mariners and Seahawks. He has a good sense of humor and is a firm believer in the age old saying that 'laughter is the best medicine. Dr. Poyfair is very active with his church and is a member of Watch DOGS (Dad 's of Great Students) at his childrens local school. He also loves going on dates with his amazing wife, Carissa. People wonder where such a super dad finds the time to help out in so many ways, but he is really an incredibly generous and thoughtful person.
Dr. Poyfair has been with Light Dental Studios at the Lakewood office since 2009 and has built some amazing relationships with his patients and dental team. You will notice what a warm and inviting atmosphere he has helped to create for his patients. Dr. Poyfair's vision for each of his patients is to let them know what he can do to help them keep their oral health the best it can be.
Dr. Nazish Haq is a native of New Jersey where she completed her BA in Chemistry and minor in Math from Rutgers University. She graduated Cum Laude with high honors and also received the prestigious Ronald Rahman Award for excellence in Analytical Chemistry. Dr. Haq then pursued her DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where she spent a year doing in depth research on human pathogens involved in periodontal disease.
After receiving her DMD, she enrolled in a postgraduate program at Rutgers. This challenging program focused on Pediatric dentistry, Oral surgery, Periodontics and dentistry in the operating room. She especially enjoyed working in the Oral Medicine department because of the compassion and kindness that was necessary to treat medically compromised patients.
Dr. Haq strives to provide the kind of care for her patients as if they are a part of her own family. Developing a personal relationship with them and making them feel comfortable during treatment is her number one goal. Offering amenities such as pillows, blankets and even headphones are always available to patients who experience anxiety in the dental chair.
When Dr. Haq is not doing dentistry, she enjoys traveling across the globe, volunteering and cooking. Being a fitness enthusiast at heart, Dr. Haq also enjoys activities like rollerblading, biking, hiking, bouldering and anything outdoors with her wonderful husband, Hasan.

Both of my children (6 and 10) and myself really enjoyed our visit with Dr. Micah! He took time to explain things to the children and myself which was greatly appreciated. What a great addition for Light Dental and Puyallup.

Dr Jiang and her dental assistant were super efficient and friendly too. After my appt, I read Dr Jiang's bio and she is the most educated dentist, I have ever had. I feel like she is a good fit for me

I have dental anxiety and was in need of a root canal. The experience there was great with my Dr and he was understanding and patient however it was after the visit everything kind of went sideways. I was in the chair jaw open for 3 1/2 hours. It was A LOT of drilling and my roots were VERY deep. I let him know I am extremely sensitive to dental work (which is why I get really bad dental anxiety). I left with my jaw popping and unable to open it much. I also let him know I felt extremely uncomfortable around the tooth site. I requested another numbing shot to last me until I could get his prescription. He made the point of asking what pain medication of taking so I guess there was a misunderstanding when I only recieved a prescription for a steroid. I waited over an hour to get that filled after driving back to Lacey from Puyallup. At this point my pain was so intense I had to rush home because I couldn't do anything to relieve it other than take tylenol. I started the steroid and they ended up causing a reaction. Finally after a few conversations he prescribed me a stronger tylenol and told me to contact my doctor for pain management. I'm still in pain so I spent three hours waiting to talk to a doctor and they said they absolutely will not do pain management for a dental procedure and were confused as to why my provider sent Me to them. I haven't slept in two days I'm still on soft foods and I'm just exhausted. I get having to be careful but having an almost 4 hour appointment with major work done needs to be considered when creating a care plan for after the visit. I'm so confused and quite honestly disappointed.

After years of having issues with the dentist I finally have found a place that makes me want to go to the dentist. Dr. Hsieh is so amazing. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable, explains whats going on and literally her focus is making the patient not feel pain. Her assistant Hannah does the same exact thing and literally the whole process is flawless. Last but not least even the front desk makes you feel at home and Des is my absolute favorite. It's like cheers everyone knows your name, it is like we are family. I will never visit another dental place and i thank them for helping me love the dentist!

My Visit with Dr Udod and Asst. Ruthie was fabulous. Talk to.me and made sure I was doing ok. Made sure I was in no pain. Was a SUPER GREAT VISIT. The office staff are doing a great job. So friendly and makes you feel so comfortable. I will recommend my friends. So Hill Branch.

Dr. Nicholas Maniatis and Karen his assistant was awesome. I found my perfect dentist! I have been sooo terrified of going to the dentist.He is so gentle. Dr. Maniatis worked me in to his Saturday schedule for my next appointment. Karen keeps asking me if I am ok. She put enough numbing gel that I didn't even feel the needle on in. Thank you, thank you! Highly recommend Light Dental Studio.

I was fit into Dr. Kim's schedule, same day, to get a broken crown repaired. Both Dr. Kim and Jen, the dental assistant, we're very friendly. They explained the entire process details in a very easy to understand way and reviewed the costs. They were both thorough and focused, but were gentle and caring. I was very impressed and would highly recommend them for dental care.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Jiang and her assistants. They are all very compassionate and understanding. Dr. Jiang took extra time to explain everything to me and make sure I was comfortable. Never have I had such a positive experience at the dentist. Highly recommend without hesitation.

I recently had a crown fall off my front tooth. I called Light Dental Studios on South Hill, and they were able to get me in the very next day for an appointment. Dr Hsich and her assistant Hannah did an amazing job and re attached my crown. They were pleasant and very professional and did a great job! Thank you.

I have EXTREME dental anxiety. Today I had a extraction from Dr. Smolke, I never thought I could feel so comfortable with a dentist but he was quick efficient explained every step of the way and was knowledgeable. Sienna was his assistant and I felt today after several visits to different offices that I was in good hands with good people who wanted the best for me. 10/10 would reccomend this office and this dentist. And I would normally never reccomend the dentist lol.

Dr.Micah and Lay were absolutely amazing with my daughter. They were so patient and made her feel so comfortable even when she was crying. They were so sweet even when she kept saying are we almost done every 20 seconds. They went above and beyond for my daughter and this is very hard to find in medical or dental now and days. Dr.Micah kept talking to her and was so gentle and Ms.Lay was so kind she made sure she was comfortable the whole way through. I highly recommend this duo for any child dental treatment.

My boys, 4 and 2 years old just saw Dr. Micah for the first time! I was blown away how good he was with them. Especially my 2 yr old who HATES Drs. He made them feel comfortable and excited about the appointment. Best of all he explained everything to me and made sure I understood what was going on with them and what to improve/watch for until their next appointments. And you can't forget about his assistant Sydni! We have worked with her before and she is always a joy! She makes them feel comfortable with her huge smile and is great about teaching them how to brush! You guys are amazing!

Excellent Service!! Very thorough and caring through the whole process. (I was always terribly afraid of the dentist, because I was uncomfortable and always experienced some form of pain) Dr Gupta is very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. She took the time to explain every procedure she was doing and was thorough when explaining the process. She is a professional and has a lovely bedside manner. She is the first dentist who paused to ask me if anything hurt and it was the first time I had totally pain-free dentistry!!! Dr Guptas assistant Kaysha and all of front desk staff are so considerate, caring and great professionals that go that extra mile. Light Dental Studio is the best Dental care Center I have ever had. I would recommend this Clinic and Dr. Gupta for all dental care. Seriously!! My first Amazing Pain-free, comfortable Dental experience!! Thank you All!!! I have SEVERE anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I had to get a tooth taken out urgently and I was shaking because I was so nervous. Dr. Gupta and Sienna were so friendly and kind. They checked on me the entire time to make sure I was as comfortable as can be and walked me through what was happening while they were working on my mouth. Sienna even held my hand throughout the entire procedure and helped calm my nerves. They really make sure you're having the best experience you can, especially since getting dental work done can be super scary! Highly recommend, they helped me feel a little less anxious going to the dentist :)
