Dr. Adam Poyfair is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He also earned a Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Science with a Chemistry Minor at Brigham Young University. While attending Case Western, Dr. Poyfair was very active in student government and attended many extracurricular education courses. He served as his Class Representative while in dental school.
Having been a member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Poyfair enjoys being active within the local dental community. He has served as Chairman of the South Sound Free Dental Day Design Committee, which helps to serve hundreds of local residents with free dental services. He has volunteered his free time with Medical Teams International to provide free dental care and education to underpriviliged school children. Dr. Poyfair enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is proficient in many disciplines including: Crowns/Veneers, Extractions, Root Canals, Implant placement and Traditional and Clear Braces.
Dr. Poyfair is proud to have called Washington State home his whole life. Dr. Poyfair enjoys spending his free time playing Dad and taking his four children to various activities, as well as cheering on the Mariners and Seahawks. He has a good sense of humor and is a firm believer in the age old saying that 'laughter is the best medicine. Dr. Poyfair is very active with his church and is a member of Watch DOGS (Dad 's of Great Students) at his childrens local school. He also loves going on dates with his amazing wife, Carissa. People wonder where such a super dad finds the time to help out in so many ways, but he is really an incredibly generous and thoughtful person.
Dr. Poyfair has been with Light Dental Studios at the Lakewood office since 2009 and has built some amazing relationships with his patients and dental team. You will notice what a warm and inviting atmosphere he has helped to create for his patients. Dr. Poyfair's vision for each of his patients is to let them know what he can do to help them keep their oral health the best it can be.

I went to Lacey Light Dental to get a filling replaced after it fell out. Everyone there was so nice! I get nervous at the dentist, so I really appreciated that even before I met my dentist Sandra kept checking up on me and making sure I was comfortable. Dr. Corbett is the first dentist I've had who didn't get annoyed by the way I needed her to stop working and let me calm down several times, or that I needed a bite guard because I was shaking, or my tiny mouth. Everything I've said so far has been about the attitude and atmosphere, but I do have something to say about the work done. I have a resistance to anesthesia, so normally when a dentist starts drilling it hurts and I need them to stop and give me another shot. Then towards the end of the procedure it starts to wear off and I need another shot again. When I told Dr. Corbett this she didn't comment on it at all she just gave me more shots (ow), and waited for me to be all the way numb (and for my epinephrine shakes to wear off) before starting. Basically, even though I still hate going to the dentist, this trip was the least terrible since back when I was a kid and my pediatric dentist was cleaning my still-perfect teeth.

The staff at Light Dental Studios of Lacey is very congenial, and helpful. They do their best to make sure you are comfortable at all times. Dr Collins is very friendly and greets you with a big smile. They are very accommodating and go out of their way to schedule appointment to fit your schedule. The office and exam areas are always neat and clean.

I have dealt with extreme anxiety about seeing the dentist and went over 5 years without going, only making an appointment when the pain became intolerable. The staff at Light Dental Studios has been amazing. I have never felt judged by the state I let my teeth get to. Dr. Bedayse has been patient and accommodating to my anxiety and helped me to feel at ease. Today I had a deep cleaning done by Cheryl who is hands down the best dental hygienist who I have ever worked with. She cheered me on through the uncomfortable procedure, carried on a very light conversation that kept me at ease and gave me lots of tips on new ways of keeping up with my home dental care. If you struggle with dental anxiety, this is the dentist for you. I have a couple of follow up appointments scheduled and, for the first time in my adult life, I have no anxiety whatsoever about these upcoming appointments. In fact, I look forward to another cleaning with Cheryl! She is a delightful woman to work with.

Light Dental Studios really went the extra mile with excellent service on my last visit. I had a superb experience with Cheryl, a dental technician. Her attention to details gave me the whitest teeth I've had in years. Her advice on home techniques, etc. was helpful as well. One of the best teeth cleaning I've ever had. So pleased.

I don't like going to the dentist... but these folks made it excellent in several ways! I HATE needles, but they're the only dentist I've been to with a dedicated anesthesiologist, and she was outstanding! I didn't feel a thing. The dentist was friendly and good at her job. The cavity repair was fast and looks/feels great. The office folks were caring and helpful... and all the employees seemed genuinely happy! They seem to really like what they do, and it shows in their work and their customer service. I can't believe I'm saying this about any dentist, but I highly recommend them!

The employee's at Light Dental Studios from the lady at the front desk and the Dentist to her assistant are so pleasant and they all keep patents at ease. If the stars would let you allow you to mark 100 or more I would mark each and everyone of them. The lady at the front desk did her job way above the call of duty when talking with me on the phone and hours on the phone with my Insurance company and then making the appointment with me she deserves a pay raise.

Amazing Experience from the appointment to the aftercare. Needed an Emergency visit for a broken tooth. They got me in and extracted the tooth within 24 hours. The Dr. Corbett even called me the next day to check on me. Thank You Dr. Corbett for the 5 star experience!

We are new to Washington and we weren't sure what dental office to try but Amber H. Highly Recommended my wife and I to try Light Dental Studios. I'm very glad she did! Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Amber and the front staff were great. And Dr. Collins really makes you feel comfortable and at peace for any work you may need. I highly recommend them.

This review is for Dr. Collins and the Team at Hawk's Prairie Dental Light Studios. I call Dr. Collins a few months ago with difficult matter, not knowing if he would take on the task. Met with him and explained the situation with him about my dentures. Had been going to a different Clinic that could not get my dentures right. Mind you this was all brand new to me, from getting teeth pulled and the whole bowl of wax to dentures and so on. Well, never got a pair of dentures right after 10 months, by then I had had it. That's when Dr. Collins listened to me ramble on knowing how upset, frustrated and perturbed I was. His response to me was very heartwarming, telling me what process we were going to take step by step. That's when I knew I was in the right place for my dental needs. He is very thoughtful, and cares deeply about all his patients. With my denture situation, I give him kudos for the difficult task he had with me. He had to start from scratch, with not even a mold of my mouth. Well it's been a couple of months, I'm here to report he has my 5 gold stars and more. To actually sink "my teeth" into my favorite food, a salad was amazing, to say the least. It's been a year since I've chewed at all, the small things in life we take for granted. When you all are looking for a Family Dentist, look no farther then Dr. Collins and his Team at the Hawks Prairie Dental Light Studios. I would surely recommend them to you. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and welcoming at every visit, you guys are great!! Dr. Collins, from me to you. Thank You for being my "Knight in Shining Armor" that came to my rescue !!
