Hello, Thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am a graduate of Emory University School of Dentistry, completing Dental School in 1976. (Can it possibly be that long?) After dental school I entered the US Navy for three years where I completed rotations in each dental specialty. This reinforced my decision to remain a generalist in dentistry. My practice opened here in Lilburn in July of 1979 and I have been here since. Soon after arriving the chance to become involved in the community via politics became available and I was appointed to the Lilburn City merit board, serving until 1984 at which time I was elected to the city council serving until 1990. During this interval the Georgia Army National Guard beckoned and I answered the call to join. Operation Desert Storm came along in 1990 and I spent 4 months 10 days and about 8 hours on active duty, honing my skills as a triage officer in a field medical company. Upon returning to my practice I found that politics was still an interest and in 1996 was elected Mayor of Lilburn, serving for eight years. I am currently serving as a city councilman in my third term.
During this period my family and I became involved in church planting and Gwinnett Bible Chapel began in 1994 where I am serving currently as an elder. Our church family and friends are an integral part of our lives today. My wife of 39 years is Betty, my daughter Victoria is a surgical first assistant, my son Brian is a Police Officer/Lawyer for the Cobb County Police Dept. He and his wife have two beautiful children,(can you tell Im proud of them) Brandon and Reagan. Current photos are on display in my office!! My daughter and her husband Chris are expecting a child in May.

I have been a patient for over 10 years. I even referred several patients to Dr. Patel. My dad being one of them and he wasn't happy with his experience. Yet I defended Dr. Patel's practice thinking my dad was just old and grumpy. I had several crowns done throughout the time I was a patient there. I spent thousands of dollars. Then I started having issues. There were a few times that crowns had to be redone or, teeth that had been crowned now needed root canals! Well then why were these teeth crowned in the first place? It all came to a head this past week. I had very intense pain in a tooth that had been previously crowned. I was out of town so I called to see if they would call in antibiotics. They refused any assistance. I called a local dentist describing my issue and they could not see me but agreed I should get on antibiotics. I called them back all but desperate and was told to take 2 Tylenol and 4 Ibuprofen every 6 hours. Left with no choice, I was seen last Saturday 1/22/22 and the conclusion was that the roots of the tooth on question were in my sinus and I likely had a sinus infection. Amoxicillin was prescribed and within a day or 2, the pain was gone. If I had been a newer patient, then I can understand the hesitancy in calling in a prescription. But I had been a patient there for well over a decade. This is inexcusable and the reason I have fired Lifetime Dentistry. I now agree with my dad.. it's all about the money and not at all about the care of the patient.

Dr. Patel and his staff go above and beyond to meet the needs of their patients. My family never feels rushed when we are there. Dr. Patel is patient and thorough. In fact, he even treated a dental emergency for my son that required after hours help. He was a lifesaver. Not only is he our family dentist, but we are about to use him for braces, too! Highly recommend his practice.

Horrendous Doctor! Messed up a simple filling, went to him on two different occasions to correct it each time he made it worse. I ended up going to another Dentist who corrected the blunder the first time.

Please go see Irina And Dr. Patel best of the best. Friendly, professional staff. Everyone is very caring and thorough. Beautiful space and up to the minute technology. This office is beyond excellent and I recommend them most highly.

I love this dentist! Very professional, makes you feel important and that your dental health is a priority! I'm from Houston Texas and moving to Georgia and finding this dentist is a huge blessing! If I could give ten stars I would! Highly recommend!
