Dr. Roberta Bobbie Ekman graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, before attending dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1997. She regularly pursues continuing education to stay at the forefront of the dental field and has completed additional training in implant dentistry and sleep medicine.

Dr. Ekman founded Lifetime Dental in Park River in February 2001 and later expanded her clinic by establishing a second office in Grafton in 2017. She loves her patients and helping people of all ages achieve healthy, beautiful smiles fuels her passion for dentistry.

Dr. Ekman and her husband, Steve, have two daughters, Ava and Signe, who will be attending the University of Minnesota. She doesnt think either of her daughters will pursue a career in dentistry, but you can always hope! Outside the office, Dr. Ekman enjoys cooking and singing with her husband in their church praise band.

Growing up in Grafton, it was always a dream of Dr. Paul Duseks to become a dentist and return to his hometown to practice. After graduating from Grafton High School, he earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and then went on to complete his dental education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. In May 2018, he was able to fulfill that dream, as he was given the opportunity to join Dr. Roberta Ekman at Lifetime Dental to serve the communities of Grafton and Park River. What Dr. Dusek loves most about practicing in his hometown is continuing to form relationships with the wonderful people in the community while working with a fantastic team. He has a passion for serving others and providing high-quality dental care for his patients. Another passion of Dr. Duseks is continuing his dental education. He is working on continuing his education with the Spear and CEREC curriculum as well as Spear Study Club. He is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and North Dakota Dental Association.

Dr. Dusek lives in Grafton with his lovely bride, Brittany. They have one son, Ben, and he keeps them both very busy. In their free time they enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and golfing. They also enjoy cooking and spending time with family.

Amy joined our team in September 2001 and became DANB certified in 2006. She loves the family feeling of our office and continually works to increase her knowledge and advance her education in order to help our practice grow and better serve our patients.

I started at Lifetime Dental in 2008 and am a dental assistant. I enjoy interactions with patients and co-workers. I try to be positive and relaxed when with a patient to keep them at ease and I do my best to educate patients so they understand their treatments.

I live in Grand Forks with my husband and our dog. We enjoy outdoor activities, hiking and anything to do with water. I have a passion for photography, despite not having much time for it. I also love to travel, so if you see me at the office, ask me about it!

Candy achieved her dental assisting certification from Moorhead Technical College in 1997. She joined the Lifetime Dental family in 2017 and loves being with her patients and co-workers at the office. In addition to assisting the doctors, Candy also helps keep our schedule filled and running smoothly.

Marsha attended Northwest Technical College for her dental assisting certification, graduating in 2000. She joined the Lifetime Dental team in 2019 and is diligent in ensuring that insurance is submitted accurately and in assisting the doctors when needed. She loves our patients and her co-workers and enjoys being part of an office that uses state-of-the-art technology.

Isabel graduated from the Universidad Autnoma de Nuevo Len in 1993 and joined the Lifetime Dental team in June 2020. She is grateful to her parents who pushed her to pursue her career. Isabel loves learning the details of each patients treatments and getting to interact with them while providing their care.

Gigi graduated from Park River High School and is currently majoring in biology with a pre-dental minor at University of North Dakota. She loves being a part of such a great team and has been with us since 2021. Gigi helps keep our office running smoothly throughout the day.
