Dr. Richard DelVecchio was born and raised in Connecticut, growing up outside Hartford in Vernon where his parents both still reside. Dr. DelVecchio and his three siblings grew up with a strong appreciation for dentistry as their father owned a successful Periodontal practice.

After obtaining his BAS in Biology and Psychology from the University of Delaware, Richard went on to receive his Dental Degree from NYU where he was involved in numerous leadership roles including Class President, the Student Ethics Board, as well as the Student Council. After graduation, Dr. DelVecchio completed a two-year General Practice Residency at St. Marys Hospital, an affiliate of Yale, where he gained valuable experience in all facets of dentistry as well as Operating and Emergency Room rotations.

Dr. DelVecchio has been a continued volunteer in numerous dental outreach programs including Give Kids a Smile and the annual Mission of Mercy free annual dental clinics throughout Connecticut. He has also had the privilege of serving as the Dental Director of the New Haven School Smile program since its inception in June 2015.

In his free time, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and his three dogs, as well as keeping active by running, swimming, playing golf or tennis and jet skiing. He also loves to read, travel, and fulfill his love of history by visiting museums. Dr. DelVecchio is very excited to be joining the Colchester Team and will continue to build relationships based on trust, community, and premier care already established by Dr. Batchelder. He looks forward to meeting all our wonderful patients here at Life Long Dental Care and taking care of all of your dental needs!

Dr. Frame and her young assistant were both so compassionate and caring. The office staff was very helpful in filling out paperwork. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who needs dental work.

I went in for a filling. Waited for a little while after my scheduled time. The first novacaine shot didn't work after 5 minutes or so. They did a second shot and immediately went in to complete the filling after the second shot without allowing it to take effect. By far the most painful filling I've had between a few dentists. Not sure if it was a rush before lunch, but was disappointed in what should have been an easy procedure.

I made an appointment for my 90 year old mom because she was having tooth pain when she eats. Everyone in the office was super nice and professional. Unfortunately, in the end, and after a very hard time getting her X-rays because she's in a wheelchair, they could do nothing for her because she takes a blood thinner. This was told to the office before she was even seen. She was charged almost $500 for X-rays and exam but all the dentist did was tell her to open her mouth and close it. That was it. A $150 dental exam should be a little more involved than that. Everyone, from front desk to the assistant and the dentist were extremely caring and pleasant but I feel the services didn't warrant the charges and we should have been told up front that if my mom needed an extradition or anything major they weren't going to be able to help her. It's a real effort to get her out to appointments and I feel like this was just a waste of time.

My original appointment was set for 01/04/2022, and unfortunately, I had to reschedule. I was rescheduled for 01/08/2022. I arrived ten minutes early, and the doors were locked. I left after 45 minutes and several unsuccessful calls to the LLDC operator and the building. The next day I called to inquire what happened and if I could reschedule, and I was informed they were short-staffed, so nobody showed up and rescheduled my appointment. This is understandable. Fast forward to today, 03/15/2022, two months later, after my appointment was rescheduled for the 3rd time. I was asked if I could come in early or reschedule when my appointment was just confirmed yesterday by phone... Again. The lapse in communication and/or customer selection practices employed by LLDC are inexcusable. I understand that being short-staffed during a pandemic can be challenging, but we all adhere to schedules, and appointments are made around the customers, not the other way around.

Dental hygienist was excellent as was front reception staff. I could do without the million text and email reminders before my appointment cluttering up my inbox. 1 call and 1 text seems more appropriate.

Yesterdays appointment was a very pleasant visit, everyone from the receptionist, as well as the dentist and assistant were very respectful and in formative with procedures and care. They took the time to explain any questions that I needed to know. Looking forward to my next visit.

I was told that my insurance would cover my initial exam and I still had to pay. I was not told this until after my appointment was over. Then I was told I had to come back for further services and I'd receive a call and an email with information about what my payments would be and to set up my appointments. No one ever called me or emailed me. I live on an extremely limited budget on Social Security and what I had to pay for the Consultation set me back. I should of been told about what my out of pocket costs would be before any work was done. Although the Dentist was very nice and informative, I am Very dissatisfied with the Office Staff and will not recommend or refer.

Dr Lee and his assistant were fantastic. I am looking forward to a long term relationship. I would recommend them in a heartbeat especially to those highly anxious people like me.
