Always a great experience. 6 years and counting. Hygienists are the best. Scheduling and billing are courteous and accommodating. No nonsense approach, tell it like it is, in a professional caring manner.

From the time you walk in until the time you leave, you will experience hands down the best service in the KC Metro! The staff gets to know you and your family and makes it feel like a family environment. Staff works with great care to make sure you're comfortable during appointments as well as provide flexibility when scheduling appointments. I know my teeth are in great hands at Liberty Park Dental.

Update: Still no response or communication from this practice as of 4/2/19. I really wanted this dental practice to be great! I've heard all great things. I sent the below email about my experience on 4/6/18 and have not received a phone call, text or email. I really thought they would try to make it right. Very disappointed. I sincerely hope they contact me to make this right. I hope to be able to edit this review in the future. Email: Due to recent events, I need to cancel all of my appointments moving forward. I am actively seeking a dental team that can meet my needs. I am not pleased with the way in which my appointment went on 4/5/2018. Equipment malfunctions, time issues and the way the filling does not match the color of my normal tooth are just a few reasons for my dissatisfaction. My appointment was at 2pm for 3 fillings. I was scheduled for a 1 hour slot. I did not leave the office until 3:43 pm with only 2 of the 3 fillings worked on. I felt panicked, anxious, pain and also like I was drowning during my visit. I am already terrified of dental procedues and I do not feel like you did anything to put me at ease. Some suggestions; 1. Don't schedule so many patients at once. 2. Show more empathy for the nervous/anxious patient. 3. Make sure your equipment is in order before starting procedues. 4. Read and familiarize yourself with the patients chart. 5. Stop inundating me with emails, calls and texts about upcoming appointments. I recieved 3 text messages, 3 emails and 1 phone call about my appointment on 4/5/18. Notification a couple of days prior to the appointment should be sufficient.

This place is falsely advertised as being open on Saturdays. It is not. In fact, it is only open Fridays by special appointment.

Update: Since my first visit and Melissa the hygienist, I have had two other hygienist at each of my two other visits. My preference is to have the same hygienist year after year. Apparently that isn't going to be possible here, presumably because of the high turnover. Also an update: I had a crown replaced which then broke a month later. I expected a quick replacement but had to wait 2 months for an appointment just to retake the molds. 3 months with a broken crown is not acceptable. As far as dentistry, Dr. Dixon is clearly skilled. But, I think the business model leaves patients with my expectations wanting. I have my teeth cleaned religiously every 6 months. I am usually pretty hesitant when using a new hygienist, and I was hesitant with Melissa as well. However, she did the absolute best job that I've ever had done. I also truly appreciated the openness and the honesty of the entire staff. They understand that people have a choice and they seem to be doing their best to make sure that you get the service that you deserve. This was my first time visiting, but they will be my primary dentist from now on.

(Mrs. R.Ford)..This place is EXCELLENT! I am soooo glad Dr. Shapiro is in a perfectly well oiled, top notch place. He is BACK in K.C. area and I am GRATEFUL! This office staff is the best. ..Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, conscientious and polite. The BEST Hygienist EVER!!!!!! I have had over 13 crowns and a bridge over many many years so I know of what I speak. I have been in and out of dentist and doctor's offices and this is "wow"! These people are SPOT ON and Dr. Shapiro rates as high as they come for me. I've had all sorts of issues in the past but NONE with bad experiences with him. He left K.C. and I was NOT happy with any experience after that ...My son saw his pic on a billboard that he was back and I'M ELATED to say I was one of his FIRST patients in his new location . HE is going to GET the bad stuff RIGHT! CAN'T go wrong in this place!

I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Dixon and the rest of the staff have always taken good care of me! Sometimes you have to schedule appointments farther out than I'd like, and I wish they were open on Friday's, otherwise they're the best!

In pain and I needed them to pull a tooth. They told me I'd have to make an appointment for x-rays and then come back at a later date to have the service is done. Go somewhere else

Wonderful staff and doctor! I had a terrible root canal and wisdom teeth that needed pulled. Wisdom teeth were pulled with no issues and super fast. And the root canal took longer simply because the doctor did not like how he did it the first time. :) I am a very satisfied customer.
