Dr. Helen Chiao's endodontic office utilizes modern,state-of-the-arttechnology and high-quality materials to provide exceptional endodontic patient care in a clean, hygienic environment. We are CPR and OSHA/WISHA certified, and compliant with CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We adhere to Universal Precautions when caring for our patients to optimize infection control. To minimize cross-contamination and infectious disease, we use disposableone-timeproducts and professional sterilization units that are regularly monitored for their efficacy. Dr. Helen Chiao is the founder of Liberty Endodontics and a practicing board certifiedendodontist in the heart of Westchester County-Hartsdale, NY (between Scarsdale and White Plains, north of Yonkers). Originally from thePacific Northwest,Dr.Chiao brings with her extensive experience from her tenure as a leadingendodontist and dentistinclinical, academic and private practice settings, treating both children andadults. Prior to opening Liberty Endodontics in Westchester, New York, Dr. Chiaofounded Washington Endodonticsin Bellevue, WA, andhas worked in the Greater Seattle Area,Long Island-NY, Midtown-Manhattan, Greenwich, CT, and Cambridge and Boston, MA.Dr. Chiaoreceived herBachelorof Science in Neurobiology from theUniversity of Washington. While there, Dr. Chiaogained early clinical and research exposure in endodontic pulp biology and dental nerve trauma. Dr. Chiao then moved to Boston, MA to study the broad field of clinical dental medicine atHarvard Medical School(preclinical training) and theHarvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree.
Dr. Helen Chiaoreceived admittance intoHarvard's Advanced Graduate Program in Endodontics, obtaining an additional 3 years of clinical training in full-scope microsurgical endodontics. Dr. Chiao graduated with a Master of Medical Science (M.M.Sc.) in Oral Biology and Certificate in Endodontics through Harvard University.Dr. Chiaois a board certified Diplomate through theAmerican Board of Endodontics. Dr. Helen Chiao has been invited as a guest lecturer on the topic of difficult endodontic cases for dental study clubs in the United States and also serves as a guest lecturerat the postgraduate level for HarvardEndodontics reviewing difficult cases duringCase Seminar and haslectured on practice management in the time of COVID over ZOOM. In 2020 through 2021, during the pandemic,Dr. Helen Chiao served as President of the Westchester Shore Dental Forum, leading local dentists in Westchester and New York Countyto obtaincontinuing education credits on various dental topics, ultimatelyfor the benefit of serving patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Helen Chiao enjoys classical piano, appreciating a plethora of music genres, reading, traveling (before the COVIDpandemic), playing tennis and spending time with herfamily,who have residedin Westchester for nearly half a century.

My experience with Dr. Helen Chiao was wonderful. Upon meeting her she immediately put me at ease. She was very professional. I was able to relax and she made me feel very comfortable with the procedure. She explained everything that was going to happen. If you are looking for someone in this field Dr. Helen Chiao is the person for you. Thank you Dr. Chiao.

I am a nurse in Health Care. I know how challenging it is to find a Doctor in any speciality that you can trust and have the utmost confidence in. I went to see Dr. Chiao after my Dentist Endodontic could not get me in for a week. I was in pain and another nurse at work told me about Dr. Chiao. She saw me the next day. It was instantly apparent how professional and knowledgeable she is. She immediately calmed my anxiety just by how she was. She was patient, took the time to explain everything and was so attentive to everything she was doing. My anxiety level was off the charts knowing I needed a root canal and she made this procedure easy. She is incredible. I will not go to anyone else and I am so very grateful for finding her. And her assistant/secretary Suzie is a gem as well. They are amazing!!!

I called on a Saturday and Dr Chiao returned my call from home. She could hear jn my voice how much pain I was in. Who does that? She got me in first thing Monday morning. I arrived in excruciating pain. She was so calming and explained everything as she relieved my pain right from the start. It's so nice to find a doctor that actually cares about her patients. Her professionalism, her care factor and her patience are the reason you should never have to look elsewhere. I'm so happy my friend referred me to Dr Chiao. I am so grateful and would give her a 100 star review if it was an option.

I would give six stars If I could. Dr. Chiao & her assistant Ashley gave such superlative service, not just an excellent root canal. Empathic, gentle,& also fantastically competent. I've had other root canals, so have had the experience when not performed with either compassion or competence. Dr. Chiao has both in abundance.

Best dental office visit EVER! Dr. Chiao is so highly skilled that I wasn't surprised that my root canal was 100% pain free! She was extremely sweet taking the time to explain what was going on every step of the way....I have dental anxiety but had none at this office! The office is super clean and it is almost a zen space, just so relaxing somehow. The assistant was also super sweet, laid back which I love and extremely helpful. I am so lucky someone had recommended Dr. Chiao to me!

I was lucky to find this clinic and Dr. Helen, and her staff made me feel comfortable and explained the procedure and the steps I needed to take after the procedure. The entire staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. I know every procedure and patient is different but I had no pain after the root canal

It was a definite pleasure to be a patient of Dr. Chiao . I had a prior experience of this place . Dr. Chiao puts a lot of time and efforts into explaining the conditions of my problem , gives exact vision how to treat it and provides treatment with great knowledge and without causing any pain . If you need to understand the future of your condition this is the best place to get the advice . Dr. Chiao is very skillful and human . I would highly recommend her and her staff to the patients who are seeking best quality of dental care .

I had such a positive root canal experience for someone with a long-standing hx of dental anxiety. The office keeps super clean practices (including extra air filtration and PPE) and Dr. Helen Chiao and Suzy made me feel very safe and comfortable throughout both my visits. Dr. Chiao's a meticulous, highly skilled practitioner who gives painless, thoughtful care. I would go back to her in a heartbeat. I can't recommend her enough!

This was the best dentist experience I ever had. From the time they greeted me till I left i felt very comfortable. Dr. Chiao was very informative about what was wrong, how to fix it and what to do after. Explained what she was doing during the procedure and made me feel comfortable. Also was absolutely zero pain!! They also work with you on payment. I highly recommend her. She is the best at what she does And is the nicest person

I had to have an emergency root canal and my dentist referred me to Dr. Chiao. She was amazing... explained everything in detail before, during and after. I felt I was in top care. In addition, her approach was gentle and her personality made me feel at ease in having a root canal. I live in Manhattan, but would gladly drive back to Hartsdale for any future work! I highly recommend Dr. Chiao!

Painless, clean, thorough root canal. Dr. Chiao is very nice, meticulous, and patient with all my questions. Her office staff are friendly and nice as well. Overall, the experience was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable I've had at any dentist's office!

Dr. Chiao is the portrait of professionalism. As the complications of my case unfolded, she handled each new challenge with grace and compassion, efficiently communicating the situation to me and comforting me with her steady, unflappable assurance. While far from cheap, Dr. Chiao's experience, frankness and capability justify her fee.

I was so deeply impressed and inspired by the high level of professionalism and courtesy from start to finish. My primary dentist, Dr. Daniel Zedeker, sent me to Liberty for an emergency root canal as I have been suffering from a toothache that suddenly got really bad. Luckily due to someone else canceling doctor Chaio was able to see me right away. She kept me calm by describing, to level of my interest, what was happening with each step. I had no discomfort and the pain from my toothache was gone nearly immediately and then completely within 48 hours. I know that's rare but it was still very good. When I returned for the 2nd part of the procedure, doctor Chaio spent some extra time to make sure every millimeter of the canal was fully treated. I learned that a millimeter is a mile in this business. As a business person I learned a lot from my experience here, some of which I have already put in place with my customers . I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs root canal or any deep dental treatment.

Today I went in for a root canal on one of my molars. Dr. Chiao and her professionally trained staff (Ashley) were extremely caring and cautious from the time I arrived at the front door to the time they walked me out. The procedure itself was painless; reflecting the high level of expertise among Dr. Chiao and her Team. Best of the best!
