Amite County Medical Services, Inc. (ACMS) is a private, FTCA deemed, non-profit corporation founded in 1980. Funding for the organization is supplemented by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide health care to medically underserved areas. Governed by a board of local residents, Amite County Medical Services, Inc. is designed to meet the primary health care needs of its community.

Amite County Medical Services, Inc. seeks to provide all residents of the Amite County area with comprehensive primary health care services of the higest quality, that are either unavailable or limited in availability, which will promote their well being and safety, using a patient centered, team based approach.
