Dr. Johnson is a life-long resident of Ann Arbor, Michigan. After graduating from Pioneer High School in 1988, she attended Kalamazoo College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Returning to Ann Arbor, Dr. Johnson began working as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from U of M in 1998.
After Dental School graduation, Dr. Johnson joined the Public Health Service and was a dentist in the Indian Health Service for the confederated Tribes of the Umatilla in Pendleton, Oregon. She returned to Ann Arbor in 2000 and began teaching dental students at the U of M. She joined Liberty Dental, PLC in 2002 and assumed ownership in May of 2008.
In her free time, Dr. Johnson trains for running races and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. She is on the Board of Directors for Ozone House, a non-profit providing shelter and support services for local homeless and at-risk youth and their families.
Krista joined Liberty Dental, PLC in 2009 as a Dental Hygienist. She attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and went on to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Mott Community College. Krista is married with two daughters and enjoys spending time with family. My passion for oral health and dental hygiene began at a young age; I have always loved a healthy smile.
Holly has been in the dental field for over 23 years and joined Liberty Dental, PLC in 2016. She earned an Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Parkland Community College in 2000. Holly is married and has three grown children. I enjoy the personal connection I make with patients while getting to help them learn about oral health.
Kathy joined Liberty Dental, PLC in 1998 but has been a patient in the practice since 1987. She is often the first person you will meet; at the front desk, answering the phones and coordinating the office schedule. She was born and raised in Maryland and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland in 1983. She moved to Ann Arbor in 1986 and loving living in such an interesting and vibrant community. Kathy loves music, interior design and Starbucks. Working at Liberty Dental for many years has allowed me to really get to know the patients as family. I look forward to catching up with people when they visit.
Tiffany has been working in the dental field since she was 15 years old and joined Liberty Dental, PLC in 2006. Tiffany will assist you in billing your insurance company and making the financial aspect of dental treatment as easy as possible. Tiffany resides in Tecumseh, is married and the proud mom of two daughters. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to watch her daughter play sports. I strive to reassure patients that whatever dental care they need, I will be there to help them through the financials. I like leaving everyday knowing I helped ease someones mind and helped them achieve better dental health.
Kim has been working in the dental field for many years and became a dental assistant at Liberty Dental, PLC in 2012. She attended Ferris State University after graduating from Cadillac High School. She works chair side with Dr. Johnson and assists patients needs while in the office. Kim is married and mother to a son. They enjoy the outdoors; camping, fishing and hunting. The best part of Dental Assisting is knowing every day I help people by making them feel welcome and comfortable while they are here for their dental visit.
Shelby is the newest member to our team. Shelby completed her Dental Assisting Course at Michigan Dental Assisting School in Bloomfield Hills. She also has an Associates Degree in Applied Science/Salon Management and holds licenses in Cosmetology and Massage Therapy. Shelby has been in the salon industry for 7+ years, but has always had an interest in oral health as well. She has an extensive customer service background and looks forward to using those skills to help our patients to feel comfortable. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, going to concerts, camping, and gardening. She loves being a fur mama to her three little fur babies.

The staff at Liberty Dental is the best. They are friendly and make things comfortable. I like their approach and trust their recommendations. The dentists are really knowledgeable and make me feel like they care. I don't feel like another patient they have to check off the list.

Liberty Dental has been my best dental experience in Ann Arbor. The dental hygienists know you by name after just a couple of visits, they're conscientious about booking the right number of patients per day (I've never had a long wait time in the office, and never felt rushed out of the chair either), and the dentists are clearly invested in your long-term dental health and preventative care.

Just love the staff at Liberty Dental. Robin and Dr. Stephenson helped me reverse some serious periodontal disease. They even saved me money, by being honest and not recommending repairs that weren't anticipated to benefit my general oral health. I pass 3 dentist offices to visit this group...the 30 min commute is definitely worth it!!!!

A dental office I have been going to since I was very young. It is an office and a Dentist that I feel safe and comfortable with. I will never stop going, despite the 90+ minute drive to get there. I have never been willing to try and find another office that treats me in the manner they do. Professional, friendly... but most of all, caring.

My family have been patients of Dr. Stevenson for 4 years and we've never been anything but completely satisfied in that time. He and the rest of the office staff have taken great care of us, both for our routine care as well as unexpected interventions. Their new office building is a beautiful, brand-new space, and we're excited to continue seeing them there!
