T. Max Frawley, DMD Born and raised in Lexington, SC, Dr. Max graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 with his Bachelor of Science and the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.), before completing an optional, one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at East Carolina University in 2014. Dr. Max has been practicing in the Midlands since 2014 and when the opportunity arose, he fulfilled his dream in 2019 of opening his own practice in his hometown of Lexington, SC. With the constant evolution of dentistry and its techniques, Dr. Max understands the importance of staying current with his treatment for patients by staying active in continuing education with his fellow colleagues.
Dr. Max is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Max is also a participatory member in the Columbia Implant Association and the Greater Columbia Dental Association, local study clubs that meet to educate local dentists on modern advances in the dental profession.
Dr. Max takes a unique approach in building rapport with his patients. Whether it is a simple filling or more complex treatment, he holds the patients education in high regard; using visual representation and simple metaphors to help the patients better understand the necessary treatment.
Dr. Max was born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina, where he currently resides with his beautiful wife, Natalie, and their two adorable daughters, Raegan and Adelyn. Dr. Max is an avid USC Gamecocks sports fan and is excited to serve the very community at which he was raised. He currently lives in Lexington with his wife and two daughters and is an avid Gamecocks fan.
Trish Deel Trish is an Ohio native, who after many years of vacationing to the Carolinas decided to move to Columbia, SC, in May 2016 with her husband, Ray, and their two sons, Kyle and Clay. The Deels love their two dogs, Allie and Harley, and enjoy traveling & camping in their motor-home. Trish began her dental career as an assistant in 1988 where she attended The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!!!). Since then she began managing dental practices in Ohio until she relocated to South Carolina, where she found a special connection with Dr. Max and Barb. Trish is our Practice Manager and truly the Jack of all Trades; having over 30 years of experience, she takes the utmost pride ensuring that every patient leaves with an unforgettable dental experience rich in customer service, tailored to patients individual needs, and with no questions unanswered. Despite her dental office setting she has the sweetest tooth and per customer service protocol will make sure you dont leave without being properly equipped with treats/gifts.

Dr Max, Trish, and Jordan are awesome! They are very detail oriented. They walk you through procedures step by step. If you're not coming here for your dental needs YOU SHOULD BE!!!

NOT ONLY DR. MAX, BUT THE ENTIRE STAFF THERE COULD NOT BE ANY BETTER. I HAVE OVER 50 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE GOING TO DENTIST AND HANDS DOWN THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF HERE ARE THE BEST. THEY HAVE SERVICED MY NEEDS FOR GOING ON 3 YEARS, AND FROM X-RAYS TO CROWNS, AND EVERYTHING INBETWEEN, I COULD NOT BE MORE SATISFIED. I USED TO BE TERRIFIED ABOUT GOING TO THE DENTIST, BUT NOT ANYMORE. THEY MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE THAT I FELL ASLEEP WHILE GETTING A COUPLE OF FILLINGS, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. AGAIN, IT IS JUST NOT DR. MAX FRAWLEY , BUT THE ENTIRE STAFF, NEWER FACILITY, AND THE TOTAL PACKAGE OF THE LATEST AND GREATEST DENTAL EQUIPMENT ON HAND UNDER ONE ROOF AT THEIR LOCATION. Dr. Max and his team, Trish and Jordan are the best! I have finally found my lifetime Dentist! I felt at ease and welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Max is very thorough and explains everything he does in detail. Very knowledgeable in dentistry. I know my teeth are in great care with him and his crew. If they ever move, I will follow!

Returning from overseas, it was difficult to find a good family dentist for my family and I. Dr. Frawley and his staff made us feel right at home. Everyone was awesome! The facility was very organized and clean. My children enjoyed the gaming area allowing our visit to run smoothly. Highly Recommended!

If you're looking for your "forever dentist," Dr. Max is it. He has been my dentist for about 6-7 years. I started going to him when he was fresh out of school. Was great then and now. He diagnosed me with a diagnosis that went unnoticed with my previous dentist and orthodontist, and was able to get me the proper treatment. He is so personable with all of his patients and so knowledgeable. Love the care he gives! I will never go to anyone else.

One of the best dental experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked in, I felt relaxed and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Trish is extremely friendly and walked me through everything. Dr. Max is extremely refreshing & knowledgeable & again, I was completely at ease. I went in for a chipped tooth and he not only fixed the 1 I went in for, he touched upon some other teeth as well. I was so impressed with Lexington Smile Design Studio, that I turned right around and made an appointment for a dental cleaning. My teeth look great, thanks to Dr. Max and Trish. Try them out. You will not be disappointed! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

If you need a great dentist and a staff that treats you with kindness and compassion, you need to come see Dr. Max and his crew. I have had issues with my teeth since I was a teen due to an impoverished childhood, and I have spent a LOT of time in the dentist's chair and seen a LOT of different dentists over the last 30 years. I can say without a doubt that Dr. Max and his staff are by far the, kindest, most personable team of dental professionals I've ever dealt with. Barb, the Office Manager, is as sweet as she can be and always super personable. Trish is super funny and makes you feel right at home. Dr. Max is a down to earth guy and will sit you down and explain every single issue that you have going on with your teeth if there are any, and work out a treatment plan with you. You never feel rushed or like 'just a number on a chart' (which is very important to me). Being comfortable in the dentist's office is a really important quality for someone like me who has to spend so much time there. They definitely deserve every 5 star review they have! Including mine! Keep up the awesome work Dr. Max and crew!

I was dropped as a patient during Covid due to the fact that I'm a nurse. Comments were made in the by staff in office to make me believe this statement. I asked why this was happening to nurses and the reply was that they had to protect their staff and patients When trying to question why I was dropped this was viewed as harassment according to the staff. I was told a lawyer would be contacting me by the staff member because of my questioning her why I was dropped. This was sent to me in a text message. I never heard from this lawyer which I would've come back with another lawsuit for a patient abandonment. A Dentist is not supposed to leave the patient in the middle of care, which I was seeing an orthodontist under his care. During Covid, I had surgery and had a crown that came off of one of my teeth and I had to go back to my old dentist to get it fixed, I was told that this Dennis office was not going to come in just to fix my crown during Covid. I ended up going back for a cleaning also because Dr Farley's office did not even pick up the phone. So I could schedule a cleaning. I am in the middle of being tested for a syndrome that is related to very dry mouth and dry eyes. Dr. Farley also abandon care during my medical needs to have thorough dental care. I have to ask why this Dentist Office was the only one I know what that totally shut down during March and April. They were not even available for emergency care. As a nurse, this is very poor communication skills with the medical community. I am a critical care nurse, nurse educator. I have to wonder why when apparently his wife is a nurse why the nursing community is being treated so poorly. When a dentist is not available during an emergency as a critical care nurse and nurse educator I would not recommend this to any kind of patient Janet Parsons RN, MSN, CCRN

My first visit at Lexington Smile Design Studio was exceptional. The staff (Barb and Trish) was super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Max is knowledgeable, caring, and lighthearted; he puts your worries to rest and makes you feel at ease. He is also very honest and upfront about your dental needs. You can tell when a dentist is out for the money, and Dr. Max is far from that. He truly enjoys his work, and being of service in his community. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

I would send my own mom here because I know she would be given the most understanding and attentive care. The waiting area is welcoming and comfortable. I didn't feel as though I was in a corporate office. I felt as though I was in a family's living room. It was even decorated with pictures of Dr. Max and his wife and kids. During my sign in I was given a sheet to fill out that I have never seen at any other practice before. It was a list of options that I could check in order to customize my visit to any specific emotional needs I may have such as anxiety around dental tools or needing help while assessing my dental options. As my dental situation was quite unusual, Dr. Max and Dr. Barb (who assisted him during my visit) both reached out to me by phone later that same day to make sure I was doing ok and to see if I had any questions about the medicine they sent me home with. I took a card when I left. I will absolutely be going back. I encourage anyone who reads this to please call them. You will never want to go to another dentist again.

Dr. Max is one of a kind, the best dentist I have ever been to by far. He cares so much about his patients and goes above and beyond to make your experience the best and make sure you are totally happy. Trish & Barb are the friendliest people you will ever meet as well and make you feel right at home! The treatment you get from this office is one of a kind.

Dr. Max, Trish and Barb make coming to the Dentist a pleasure! There are not many practices where your dentist takes the time to explain things so well, and is the one cleaning your teeth. The atmosphere is clean, and so welcoming. If someone is looking for a new dentist....this is the place to come. Dr. Max has the ability to make permanent crowns in office. I was amazed to watch this being done. They are very cognizant of your time and comfort level during all aspects of dental visit.

Dr. Max Frawley owns and operates Lexington Smile Design Studio. He opened his own practice in June 2020 along with his front desk/financial coordinator Barb and Trish his practice manager and dental assistant. We specialize in high quality dentistry and personalized customer care. Our office schedules one patient at a time and we are proud that we have a calm and spa like dental setting and treat each patient like family. Dr. Max's dentistry is top notch

I have not ever had such a positive experience at a dental office as I have had with Lexington Smile Design Studio. You are greeted by Barb at the front desk with a warm welcome and refreshing mouthwash. Trish will come and get you, walk you to your room and get you set up for your appointment. Dr. Max will follow shortly behind Trish and they talk to you about your concerns and try to answer any questions you have while making you feel comfortable. They don't dive right into your oral exam and tell you all the things they think you should be doing differently. They are great at sharing what they have learned in their many years of experience as well as educating their patients. They are very conservative with treatment and are not charging you for unnecessary procedures. I have been to their office multiple times now and they have been nothing but consistant. As if that was not enough, they make sure to think of all the little things too! They will make sure you have a warm blanket or a fan to stay comfortable during your visit. You get a minty hot towel to clean up after treatment. Of course the fresh baked cookies for your sweet tooth at checkout will seal the deal if you are still on the fence! I am definitely a patient for life and will continue to tell everyone I know about how greatful I am to see Dr. Max and his team at Lexington Smile Design Studio.

From the time you walk in from the time I exited the business the positive energy and vibe was there. Dr. Max is by far the best dentist i have ever seen, he is so professional and explains everything. My husband and I will forever be patients with Dr. Max. I rate as 10 Stars.
