Originally from Gig Harbor, Washington, Dr. Evalt now lives in Erie Pennsylvania and practices dentistry in Corry, Pennsylvania. His studies in behavioral neuroscience and pre-med earned him a dual-degree at Ithaca College in upstate New York. He earned a degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. In his over 20 years of experience in the field of dentistry, Dr. Evalt has held many accomplishments personally and professionally, upholds the educational values and integrity of his profession, and actively engages in the communities he lives and works in.
In his undergraduate and graduate studies, Dr. Evalt was involved in conducting numerous research studies including: neurological testing of emotions, surgical placement of neurological implant devices, retrospective analysis of and experimental design and treatment modalities of oral surgery, periodontal bone grafting, and orthodontics. His interest in the surgical aspects of dentistry combines with his attention to detail and his love for the esthetics of his environment to create a blended enjoyment of his professions best cosmetic work. In order to attain the greatest benefits to his patients and in holding to the highest of standards, Dr. Evalt takes his continuing education very seriously. Regarding his postgraduate experiences, he maintains a meticulously crafted educational program that has put him in a class of dentistry above many others and has given him years of experience in the surgical placement of implants, gingival and bone grafting, laser surgery and biopsy, advanced prosthodontic full-mouth reconstruction and temporomandibular joint evaluation and treatments, as well as treatment of migraines, sleep apnea, and a myriad of other disciplines of his professional development and research and understanding of materials. He is an active member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a twenty-year member of both the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He is currently working on his Fellowship Degree for the AGD where he presents case studies of his patients to his cohorts and studies the advanced techniques, procedures, and materials in dentistry.
Outside of the office, he enjoys golfing, traveling to national parks, and backpacking, especially with his wife and six kids. On Saturdays you might find him woodworking in his garage or studying his interests in alternative energy (quantum physics). His has a particular interest in advanced molecular bonding of superconductors, metals and porcelains, and studies the complex interplay of metals in energy. In the community, Dr. Evalt contributes heavily to sports boosters and the fire and police departments.
His belief in connecting and giving back to the community guides his reasoning for having been a proud dentist for twenty years in his community who accepts patients who cannot afford dental treatment and need the medical assistance card. This is also the reason he opens his office to free dental care to many in need several times per year. He believes strongly that all people deserve great dental care, not just the people who can afford it.

No empathy for their patients. My mom had an appointment to get her permanent dentures. We drove 1 hour to the appointment and when we got there, they had no idea what she was coming in for. They then told her they no longer do dentures. No apology for not letting us know ahead. This is just in addition the the horrible treatment she received these past few months. Save your time and money.

Dr. Evalt was great meeting with my child but his office staff was very disorganized and unprofessional. I was given run around what insurance they took and didn't along with how their office process it constantly being transferred to multiple people and having to go through the same thing. Dentist great, office staff a 2 but would not recommend.

Office was very accommodating and performed a root canal the day of when others needed to schedule out. I had posted a review explaining a billing issue that I felt was not resolved as quickly as it should have, after much discussion we have come to a resolution we are both happy with. Dental Excellence was quick, professional and very helpful when my husband needed a root canal. I gave them a five star because they pulled my teeth. One and a half years later I still do not have my dentures and now they won't take my new insurance. I wished I could remove my five star post.... Yes they made it so I wasn't in pain. Unfortunately I've been living on canned meats because I can't chew anything. Very disappointed in this dentist.

Im a very VERY hard individual to impress/please and, i never give 5 stars, however, was GREAT experience. Ive ripped last 2 teeth out myself. 3xcept apparently left some roots Welp quick xray, and gave me very Detailed plan/point of attack and gave me MULTIPLE directions to go. Truly made me feel as if it was 110% my decision and noone twisted my arm about it. Sweet lady nurses that I enjoyed their company, (even Ninja nurse i had no idea was there) and the doctor not only made it quick and painless, explained everything in a detailed format, along with showing the xray and point of emphasis. Truly a MUST GO. Officially now will call it, will be my Dentist office for life!

Excellent staff that provide excellent care. My daughter hates the dentist but hasnt complained once about having to go here..she had a tooth that was in bad shape and they saved it! Appointment notification right to my phone as well.

By far the best dental practice I've been to. From check-in until I checked out every staff member I dealt with treated me with the utmost respect. They explained everything in detail and didn't rush me into any decisions I wasn't sure of. Dr Evalts wife is an all around phenomenal human, she makes that office!!! Dr Evalt is just as great! In fact, I am ready for the next needle lol. They take their time to explain each procedure step by step and make you feel at ease. They go above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied. The wait time was normal not excessive.. They fit me in the same day I called because I was in pain and they could.. I believe they stayed late just for me. All 4 people in the office including the Doctor. 4 other offices in the area wanted me to wait 2+ weeks before even being seen. I will continue to use them as my main dentist office moving forward.
