Dr. Ira Levenson is a 1986 graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, in New York where he received his training in all aspects of general dentistry. While at Columbia, Iras interest in basic science led him to the research laboratory. There, his growing passion for basic science research led him to pursue a post-doctoral degree in Oral Biology and a clinical specialty in Periodontics. It was at The Ohio State University, in 1989,where he received his certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Ira maintained a growing practice and taught part time at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and provided continuing education courses for both dentists and dental hygienists.
Dr. Iras approach to practice is centered around a devotion not only to patient education but also a commitment to help each patient achieve better oral health. An avid student, Dr. Ira frequently obtains continuing education training to help him better serve his patients.
Dr. Iras interests outside of dentistry, including being Bop Bop to his four grandchildren, bible study, exercising, long walks with his wife and their dogs, listening to music, and sharing life with family and friends.
Dr. Ira is licensed by the Dental Boards of Ohio, New York, and New Jersey and is a member of The American Academy of Periodontology, the Ohio Academy of Periodontists, the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Lori is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where she received her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (summa cum laude). She continued her specialty training at OSU where she earned her certificate in Periodontics and also received a Master of Science degree. She did extensive research while at OSU and has numerous publications in dental journals.
Dr. Lori is happily married. She has four children (including a daughter-in-law and son-in-law), she is DiDi to 4 grandchildren. She is a member of the Ohio Academy of Periodontists, The American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, the Rehwinkel Dental Society and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Such a wonderful business and even better staff. My mom had to get a dental procedure done and they took excellent care of her and even talked with me about her aftercare and prescriptions. You can tell they truly care about their patients and I love how they honor veterans by giving them a discount. They gave my mom a generous discount for being a veteran and she was very pleased. My mom even received a check up call the evening of her procedure, by the doctor!! It's almost impossible to find such caring and compassionate doctors like the Levenson's. The building is so pretty and beautifully decorated, (and clean!), which makes the experience even better. Thank you, Dr. Ira and Dr. Lori!

I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate Dr Levenson and his crew. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the friendliest office I have ever visited. They made me feel so comforted throughout both of my procedures, and even gave me a stuffed animal! I would recommend this office to ANYONE who is looking for specialist help. I was told it would be like going to have a cup of coffee at a friend's house...THAT IS TRUE. I cracked a tooth and needed it extracted and wanted to get an implant. From the first phone call to the phone call that evening checking on me BY THE DOCTOR, I felt loved and well taken care of through the whole experience. When I was told the tooth could not be saved I was anxious about the process...now I have no fear and feel great about my decision to see Dr. Lori, Dr. Ira, Chelsea, Josselyne and the rest of the GREAT staff at Levenson Periodontist! Thank you ALL for the great care!

Let me just start by saying this is the most amazing periodontist office/staff around. From my first initial call to schedule my apt, to my 1:1 phone call with Dr. Lori, to the dental assistant of Dr. Lori, through the end of my appointment was absolutely impeccable. Every staff member was kind, smiled, was transparent, loving, and made you feel like you had known them your entire life. Walking into the dentist office was like walking into a home and it did not feel sterile like a typical doctors/dental office does. Each staff member was knowledgeable, engaging, and made me feel like I could have spent the day just visiting with them in the office. Dr. Lori Took her time and explaining how the teeth, gums, bone all work together and ensured I had full understanding of next steps. Most importantly she made sure I was comfortable physically, emotionally and mentally. I drove 1.25ish hours to see her and would honestly drive longer for Dr. Lori's expertise and care. I simply cannot say enough about this office, staff and and Dr. Lori. Thank you, just thank you for all you do. God Bless you!

Dr. Ira, Dr. Lori and the entire staff at Periodontal Associates have mastered the formula for perfection. They deliver the HIGHEST standard of care to each and every patient. Having recently had a tooth removed and the bone reconstructed in preparation for a dental implant, I can attest to Dr. Ira's expertise. From the moment my surgical procedure was initiated, I never felt any discomfort. More importantly to me, was Dr. Ira's easy-going demeanor and his rapport with the members of his team which put me completely at ease. I have been employed in the dental field in a number of dental practices over the years, and I can personally attest that if you are in need of any periodontal procedure, you can be assured that Dr. Ira and Dr. Lori not only strive for perfection, but their surgical skills are excellent. Their level of commitment to the well-being of their patients is beyond reproach. Following my surgery, I was given Dr. Ira's personal cell phone number in case I had any concerns and he personally called me later in the day to see how I was feeling. The staff was kind and considerate and Dr. Ira and Dr. Lori were not only professional, but went above and beyond to make sure the implant was done to perfection and that healing was without a hitch.

I have had two gum grafting procedures with the Levenson's. My experience with them is beyond positive. They made me feel safe and cared for. My results are amazing! I no longer have sensitivity and pain and my gums look incredible! The Levenson's worked with my insurance to provide the best results at the best price! Dr. Lori called me the night before my procedure to check on me and see if I had any concerns. Dr. Ira called me after my procedure to see if I needed anything and if I was feeling okay! I can't think of another time in my life that I received such compassionate and effective medical care. Thank you, Levenson's!

Dr. Levenson educated me by reviewing my xrays and explaining all my different options for my broken tooth. I didn't feel rushed and all my questions were answered. During my procedure I felt relaxed and I am very pleased with the outcome. He gave me his personal cell phone # and called me that evening to check on me. A week later, I had questions and when I texted him, he got right back with me. I couldn't be more happy with my experience.
