After an extensive International career as a researcher and university professor, Dr. Leon established LO in 2017. Since then we have been offering personalized, and high quality orthodontic services for our patients and their families in convenient locations.
Dr. Vladimir Leon is a Board Certified Orthodontist, accomplished researcher and author. He is considered an international expert in his specialty due to his extensive scientific contributions in the field of Orthodontics and craniofacial growth. Several of his publications are used to train dentists and specialist around the world.
Dr. Leon clinical experience includes thousands of patients treated in more than 15 years of orthodontic practice in different countries and states such as Peru, Brazil, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Washington.
Dr. Leon completed his dental school in 2001 at Inca Garcilaso de La Vega University in Peru. From 2001 to 2007 he lived in Brazil where he earned a Specialty Certificate and a Masters Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Sao Paulo.
In 2007, Dr. Leon came to Minnesota to pursue further clinical training and earned an Advanced Certificate in Orofacial Pain and a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation in 2013 he served as a full-time Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky and then at the University of Minnesota.
Currently he continues to enjoy his passion for teaching as a part-time faculty at Hennepin County Medical Centers Pediatric Dentistry Program, and as an adjunct faculty of the Orthodontic Graduate Programs at the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan, and University of Alberta in Canada.

I hated my teeth so I wouldn't smile, I had low self esteem, and really hated even talking because people would stare. When I first started my journey to getting braces I was really scared and felt overwhelmed. After being referred to Leon's it was been a breeze. When I tell you the customer service here rocks, it will rock your socks off. Dr.Leon really puts his all into every patient and it shows every time you walk in. Everyone is super nice, out going, and go that extra mile. It has been 2 years and I am 6 weeks to getting my braces off. My teeth look AMAZING !!!!!! I smile all the time now, I feel so accomplished, and relieved to have been in such good care. Dr. Leon evened out a couple chipped teeth for free!!! Free!! He listens and will do his best to make it happen and more. I would 110 % recommend going here, you will be very please with the results and care.

AMAZING!! WE started going to Leon Orthodontics after a referral from our dentist. From day 1 we were treated with so much respect. My son was teased in school for not having front teeth at 8 years old, and Dr. Leon went out of his way to make sure that my son's first mouth piece had front teeth put on. I cannot tell you how much this meant to us. From that day until today, almost 2.5 years later, Dr. Leon and his staff have made us feel so cared for and welcomed. To this day Dr. Leon and his staff will do everything to help. Our questions are never left unanswered, and we never leave with any concerns that are not addressed. We are SO very blessed to have been given the referral for Dr. Leon and cannot wait to see the end results.

My son has been a patient here for a little bit more then a year, Dr. Leon is very professional and knowledgeable, no complains for the services he is been providing to my son, but two of the Dentist Technician act like the giving us a free services and every time I have questions the hang up the phone way before I finish asking , and the other lady talk to us like we don't understand what she is telling us, with no desire of providing a good experience, because Dr. Leon always make sure all are questions are answer before we leave the building, perhaps this two ladies have a bad day every time we come for appointments. Definitely this two don't provide a good customer service.
