Leo Townsend, D.D.S, is a California Board certified dentist. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College, in Nashville Tennessee and completed his residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Townsend has extensive industry experience performing a wide variety of dental treatments. His first priority is caring for his patients with the highest quality of dentistry, and to do so requires providing effective dental care through superior expertise and compassion for each patients unique needs. Dr. Townsend recognizes that a patient's oral health is critical to his or her overall health and well-being. The health of the mouth and the health of the body simply cannot be separated. Additionally, he recognizes that a patient's smile and oral hygiene often play an important part in a patient's self-confidence. Dr. Townsend combines his passion for aesthetics and dentistry to help patients attain a radiant smile that they love.

Kim has been working in the dental field for over 25 years and has an advanced knowledge of chairside assisting as well as office administration. Kim started working at Laguna View Family Dental as a Registered Dental Assistant and now oversees the day to day functions of our business office as well as assisting Dr. Townsend with all of our patients dental treatment.
Kim keeps the office atmosphere light and fun and works closely with staff and patients to provide the ultimate care. She works hard to assure that things run seamlessly and our patients and staff members are happy.
Threca has been a Registered Dental Hygienist at our office since 2010. She has been sharing her friendly, considerate demeanor in the dental field since 1996 after receiving a degree in science and her RDH license from Sacramento City College.
Bobby is proud to be a part of an outstanding team of professionals who believe that creating beautiful smiles should be a relaxing and comfortable experience. He enjoys helping patients continually improve their oral health while ensuring that they have a comfortable and enjoyable experience from beginning to end.

Dr. Townsend has been very thorough & informative from the very beginning of coming to his office. His staff is pleasant & supportive in planning out your unique treatment plan. The technology in the office is current & most importantly they run on time !!

I found this office via google. My first visit was very nice and professional. The receptionist was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. She is pictured in the photo in the far right. I called to schedule my next visit and found out that she no longer worked there, after leaving several messages. Kimberly finally returned my call and was rude. Upon entering the office the 2nd time, I was greeted by a lady named Kimberly, she was VERY unprofessional and wanted to gossip about the receptionist that no longer worked there, I explained to her that my interaction with the previous receptionist was exceptional, and I would rather speak about her being rude to me. I finally got up the courage to call back and finally schedule my crown. I left a message again no call back. So today I called again and was hung up on twice, then someone called me back and didn't say anything. Needless to say, I would not recommend this dentist office. I am not sure if this is just a front office problem, as my 1 interaction with the dentist and hygienist was professional. This has been a nightmare, which is why I delayed getting the work done I needed, hopefully another dentist can assist me with completing my dental needs.

After seeing two other dentist and not having my problems resolved, I found Dr. Townsend. It took a while to get to the root of my problem, but he made time for me. His wonderful staff always kind and treated me with respect and dignity. Thank you Dr. Townsend and your staff for being amazing.

Recently made a switch of dental groups, at my wife's suggestion. I was impressed with this place. For a person who has been in excellent dental shape for most of my life, I was distressed at the thought of 2 cavities. 2 things set me at ease; first, the collaborative and positive culture of the staff. They seem to genuinely like each other and are eager to help one another. The second is the demeanor of the primary, Dr. Townsend. He gives a great opening speech ("this is a partnership...."), and checks in constantly to make sure you're aware of he is doing in your mouth and why he's doing it. The rhythm of communicating with him and the staff while listening to the loaded iPod they offer takes some getting used to, but it's better than facing a drill alone. Good experience, as dental work goes. Bravo!

Dr. Townsend and his staff are an amazing bunch to work with for your dental needs. If you are a person the dreads the dentist - fear not! This is the place you want to go. Everyone in the office contributes to a comfortable and exceptional experience. They go above and beyond to make the visit a pleasant one. In the past I have some hurtful DDS-s. In fact I have not seen a dentist in two years because I have developed a phobia. My mouth pain was getting to be too much; so I call Laguna View Family Dental. The staff was kind understanding, and non-judgmental. It was like, "We are to just get you fixed, and we are going to do with zero pain." The chemistry between the staff was great. I actually enjoyed my visit by just listening to the stories and interactions with-in the office. The Doctor came out. He did his thing, and now I have treatment plan to get me all fixed up. In fact my treatment starts tomorrow and I cannot wait for them to get me all fixed up; so I can stop walking around with the tooth(s) pain. (( And you know what? )) I am no longer hunted by my phobia of the dental chair. Thank You Laguna View Family Dental !!!!

I have gone to Dr. Townsend's office for many years now. I love going to my dental appointments because the office staff is so helpful, friendly and make you feel welcomed! All of the staff is professional and I always feel taken care of. I know that most people hate going to dental appointments, but I can honestly say that I love going to mine! I love walking into the office and everyone knowing me by name and treating me like one of their own. Dr. Townsend has some of the coolest tools to help diagnose things and because of this has been able to avoid things that could have gone undetected and eventually cause a lot of pain. He always explains everything to me in a manner in which I will understand. He truly tries to make everything as easy as possible for his patients. My husband and even 6 year old son love going to see him. I recommend this office to ALL of my family and friends.

I don't really like going to the dentist, but at Dr. Townsend's office they have the dental vibe for pain free injections and I didn't even feel the shot. The staff is really funny and made me feel very comfortable. I recommend Dr. Townsend and his great staff to everyone.

Dr. Townsend and the entire Laguna View Family Dental Staff have always provided me with exceptional service. In addition to the excellent dental work, Dr. Townsend always gives a full explanation of any problems, potential problems and his suggested treatment. The staff always is professional, helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable on treatments and anything to do with ins. & billing. I moved from the area over 10 years ago, but I remain a loyal patient.
