I am passionate about my job; I love what I do. I am so thankful for and am so fortunate to practice the specialty of orthodontics for a living! What I love most about orthodontics is the tremendous impact we have on both children and adults lives as we create wonderful smiles. It is very rewarding watching children blossom with their new smiles as they become young adults! Dr. Lenhart

Growing up with Dr. Lenhart for a father, it was only natural for Dr. Sydney Sherman to gravitate toward the field of orthodontics. She witnessed firsthand how an orthodontist can make a difference in patient's livesin not only their smiles and health, but their confidence as well. She saw her father build relationships with families who, now several years later, have brought the next generation of patients to our office. Developing these relationships, based on trust, compassion, and transparency, is what Dr. Sherman hopes to foster as a part of Lenhart Orthodontics.
Dr. Sherman attended Hillsdale College and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2014,before attending the University of Michigan for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.During dental school, she was selected for the American College of Dentists Student Leader Award, the American Association for Dental Research Student Research Fellowship, the Willmarth and Marion Paine Scholarship, the Gertrude C. My dads passion for orthodontics has inspired me to pursue a career I love. I am so thankful that he introduced me to this great profession. I am challenged every day to use my knowledge to serve my patients and help them achieve beautiful smiles. Orthodontics allows me to get to know my patients personally and watch them grow and change over their treatment and beyond. Oral health is such an important part of overall health, and smiles are such a beautiful part of who we are! Dr. Sherman
I officially started a position at Lenhart Orthodontics in March of 2021, as the Director of Marketing of Communications, after I graduated summa cum laude with my Bachelor's in Strategic Communications, as well as a minor in social media management from Arkansas State. However, I have helped out at the office in various ways since I was very young. I absolutely love working alongside my mom, Coleen, to figure out new ways we can engage with our patients, as well as plan some really cool events, but my favorite thing is probably taking all of our pictures for social media. Our team is amazing and we truly have fun together every single day!
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, usually outdoors and in Northern Michigan. We love to boat, kayak, ski, and sit by the campfire. Even though we work together, we never get sick of eachother! I also love to travel, bake, and cheer on the Michigan Wolverines and Denver Broncos in the Fall. Lastly, I am a huge dog lover! I was blessed with two Japanese Chins, Gizmo and Loki, who I miss terribly!
