Dr. Megan, a St. Louis native, has grown up with this practice. Growing up with a pediatric dentist for a father, Dr. Megan knew that pediatric dentistry was the road for her. She has been a part of the practice since middle school, starting with filing charts and stuffing envelopes, progressing to working as a part-time dental assistant, and is excited to work alongside her father providing dental care. She is proud to have a rich foundation in dental health care.

She attended Truman State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health, where Ms. Megan taught pre-school aged children. She graduated summa cum laude from both Truman State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Megan was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. She then moved to Memphis to attend a two year pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. As a resident, she received extensive training in trauma call, oral sedation, dental care under general anesthesia, and treating medically compromised children at St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Dr. Megan earned a Masters of Dental Science from the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Dr. Megan has been a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 2014. She is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Association of Forensic Odontology, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Association. Dr. Megan was recognized as the 2020 Missouri Dental Association Outstanding New Dental Leader, and currently serves on the Greater St. Louis Dental Societys executive board. She serves as a member of the Missouri Emergency Response Identification team, and is currently enrolled as a Fellow in the University of Tennessee-Knoxvilles Forensic Dentistry Program.

Dr. Megan is happy to practice where she grew up, the land of Cardinal Baseball and Blues Hockey. She loves the Cards, reading, camping, and spending time with her husband Chris, their three dogs and six chickens. Yes. Chickens. So many chickens.

Dr. Maura Robinson was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Cor Jesu Academy in Affton and then ventured south to Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama graduating with a degree in Biology. From Alabama, she moved to New York City for six years to earn her Masters and Dental degrees at New York University College of Dentistry graduating in 2016. While living in the Big Apple was fun, she missed the Midwest and wanted to return back home. In 2018, she completed her two-year pediatric dental residency in Springfield, Missouri and moved back to St. Louis shortly after.

Dr. Maura joined private dental practice after serving at a public health center. Dr. Maura divides her time between Lenahan Smiles and Skyview Pediatric Dentistry. Maura has loved being back in her hometown where she devotes much of her time to T.A.S.K. a program that provides social and athletic opportunities for children with special needs.

Outside of volunteering, Maura enjoys cheering on her St. Louis Cardinals, playing any sport, traveling and keeping up with her family and friends around the country. Be sure to ask Dr. Maura about her passion for juggling watermelons when you visit. Maura is thrilled to join the Lenahan Smiles team!

Dr. Lenahan has provided care to children in the St. Louis area for more than 30 years. He attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he met his lovely wife, Jean. He attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he received the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society award.

After dental school, he served in the United States Army Corps treating the POWs returning from Vietnam as well as service men, families and children at Valley Forge General Hospital. He also served at Ft. McPherson, Georgia and Fort Gilliam. He moved back to Kansas City, the City of Fountains, to train in pediatric dentistry at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry and completed his residency at Childrens Mercy Hospital.

Dr. Lenahan was born and raised in the St. Louis area and returned here to enter private practice and also supervised students providing treatment to special needs patients served by the Washington University Mobile Elks Van. In St. Louis, Dr. Lenahan was elected to the Pierre Fuchard Academy and served as editor of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society Bulletien and a past chairman of Childrens Dental Health Mont activities in St. Louis. He has been an alternate delegate to the Missouri Dental Associaiton and was trained as a National Dental Spokesman by the American Dental Association.

Many hours of continuing education have been taken especially in Oral Pathology and training supported by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in orthodontics and growth and development. Dr. Lenahan is currently on the staff of Cardinal Glennon Memorial Childrens Hospital and St. Anthonys Medical Center.

Outside interests are varied including stain glass artwork and teaching scuba diving and hyperbaric courses. He has completed the Police Academy and serves as a Reserve officer and instructor for a local municipality. He also has training in aviation both in airplanes, gliders, power parachutes and helicopters. He and his wife, Jean, have three grown children: Brad, Scott and Megan.

Dr. Lenahan belongs to numerous professional dental associations, including the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater St. Louis Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Greater St. Louis Pediatric Dental Society and the Meramec Valley Dental Study Club.

Carole joined our team in 1990, and since then has the go-to person for our clinic. If theres a question about supplies, equipment, or dogs, shes got the answer. She is certified in Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Analgesia, Basic Life Support and CPR. She has Expanded Functions certifications and has completed training for Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia. In addition to working with patients in the office, Carole also assists the doctors in same-day surgeries in the hospital. Carole enjoys working with her patients and spending time with her family. Her favorite animal other than dogs? Giraffes, of course, and monkeys are a distant third.

Patricia has been a part of our clinical team since June 2012. She received her Dental Assisting education from Advantages Dental Careers in 2001. She is certified in Coronal Polishing, Pit and Fissure sealant placement, Nitrous Oxide monitoring, CPR training, and completed training for Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia. Patricia also assists the doctors in same-day surgeries in St. Anthonys Medical Center. Patricia spends her time with her family, and spends her summers in Tahiti wrestling alligators and searching for the perfect guacamole recipe (part of this statement may not be entirely true).

Victoria joined our team in June 2017 shortly after graduating from Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, MO. She graduated with her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Dental Assisting (Magna Cum Laude) and is a Certified Dental Assistant. She is certified in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring and CPR training. She has Expanded Functions certifications and has completed training for Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia. Victoria spends her free time going to rally races with her husband, kayaking, crafting, or even playing video games. A little known fact about Victoria is that she is an accomplished break-dancer. Bree is the newest Dental Assistant to our team, joining our practice in 2019. She graduated from ATS Dental Assisting School in Benton Kentucky. Bree is CPR certified, and has a certification in Deep Sedation/General Anesthesia. Bree enjoys working with children because, well, she is just a big kid herself. When not with us in the office, Bree enjoys being with her main man Barley (her 7 year old labradoodle). They enjoy watching the St. Louis Blues, camping, kayaking, road trips, and impromptu dance parties. One thing many dont know about Bree is that she has an impressive Troll doll collection.

Lisa has worked in the dental field since 1984. She has worked with our team since 1990 as a Business Administrator. Lisa is the end-all-and be-all insurance guru for us. She attended Southeast Missouri State University. Lisa submits insurance claims, makes financial arrangements, and coordinates surgical cases for the doctors. We cant live without her. She enjoys gardening, baseball, country music, and spending time with family and friends. Lisa swears that this time next year shell have a dozen chickens and pigs. For real. Im serious.

Emilee began her career in dentistry in 2011 in Springfield, Mo. She moved to St. Louis to be closer to her family and joined our front desk. If you call, theres a good chance youll be chatting with Emileefeel free to ask her about her favorite movie, Sharknado. Emilee enjoys spending time with her daughter, Shaylee, going to movies and watching live music and of course, Sharknado.

Jean Lenahan is Dr. James Lenahans wife, and has been involved with the practice since it opened in 1977. Jean attended the University of Missouri at St. Louis and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Louis University, and worked in many areas of nursing for about 20 years. Over the years, she has been involved in many aspects of the practice. She handles payroll and pays the bills. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and stamping. She is very happy about working with her husband and daughter. She thinks Megan is a constant source of ideas, inspiration, and kids and parents love her. (But she has to think that, shes her mom)
