Some patients cannot afford ideal treatment. We do the ethical thing by presenting ideal care. We then proceed to find out what the patient is capable of doing and tailor a plan that fits their budget but we make sure it will not compromise their health.
Our materials used to restore teeth are all researched and approved by me personally. Only the best and highest rated materials are utilized. The laboratories that we use are top notch with wonderful ceramists and technicians who believe in continuing education as we do.
At our office you will notice a family atmosphere. We have fun doing what we do together. We all go to continuing education classes as a team, we stay up to date on the latest advancements and we share ideas at our morning meetings. We all share the philosophy that our patients come first.
A native of Texas, Dr. Suki was born in Dallas. After living overseas for a few years, she returned to attend the University of Houston and the University of Texas Dental Branch. She credits her interest in the medical sciences to her mother, a career nurse, and her physician father, who headed the Baylor nephrology section for years. They instilled in her respect and compassion for patients of all backgrounds, as well as the value of service with dedication that has shaped her philosophy of practice. The field of dentistry appealed to her artistic inclination with the opportunity of melding art and science.
Graduating in the very top of her dental school class, she earned the opportunity of training in a year-long residency program at the Veterans Administration Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. This prepared her for the medical and surgical management of complex cases when she began serving patients in private practice. In 1998, she established an office in west Houston, eventually expanding to the present Holcombe location in 2007.
Postdoctoral training and constant literature review are part of Dr. Sukis everyday routine. She attended the prestigious Pankey Institute in Florida and is a member of the Seattle Study Club, where she shares in a monthly meeting to discuss scientific advances and new treatments with her peers. She is also active on several dental society committees and is a previous member of the editorial review board of the Greater Houston Dental Journal.
Dr. Suki focuses her efforts on the rehabilitation of diseased bites and on restoration of comfort, beauty, and sound function. She incorporates the latest technology into her practice as soon as evidence based research supports results that meet her standards. In this day and age of marketing, it takes a lot of careful examination to sift through the claims that various medical companies present to the private practitioner. Dr. Suki, dedicated to the safety and health of her patients, introduces new techniques only after much study.
On a personal note, Dr. Suki is fluent in three languages and her hobbies center around her love of cultural exchange, travel and getting to know people. Of course, her two Maine Coon cats are very dear to her as well!
Nelly has served our patients with warmth and skill since joining the practice in 2007. She appreciates that we dont rush patients through the dental care process and that the atmosphere of the office is always pleasant and calm. Nelly is excited to see each patient gain a healthy, beautiful smile with our help! She and her husband have two daughters and a son, and when shes not spending quality time with her family, Nelly enjoys shopping and remodeling her home.
A valued member of our team since she joined in 2004, Tracie loves learning about new technology and seeing patients truly enjoy their new and improved smiles. She says that the family-like environment weve created here is truly special. Tracie and her husband have two boys and a girl, and in her free time, she enjoys participating in anything with the family, including bike riding and watching her son and daughter play sports.
A longtime member of the staff, Hilda has helped our dental office run smoothly for many years. She is dedicated to serving our patients by answering questions about paperwork and insurance coverage, and says it gives her a sense of accomplishment to work for a great doctor and interact with such wonderful patients. Hilda loves spending time with her family, which includes three daughters, one son, five granddaughters, and fivegrandsons. She also enjoys dancing and watching her grandchildren play sports.
I graduated from Houston Community College with an Associate in Science in 2013. I have truly enjoyed being a hygienist and being able to educate and provide quality service to patients. I love being able to comfort patients fears by being compassionate and gentle.Having the latest technology and modern equipment at Dr. Sukis office, allows me to practice my profession with comfort and ease.I enjoy getting to know all my patients and building a trusting relationship for years to come.In my free time, I enjoy doing crafts, scrapbooking, taking pictures, listening to music, meeting new people and spending time with my family and friends.
