Dr. Gregory A. Lehman knew he wanted to become an oral surgeon by the time he was in the sixth grade, and Dr. Michael A. Menis was inspired by his father to pursue a career in healthcare. Both doctors are passionate about exceptional patient care and strive to create a comfortable, welcoming, and friendly environment.
Our team consists of highly trained individuals who are passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience. From our surgical staff members, who are trained in the safe administration of anesthesia, to our front desk team, who are well-versed in financial options and insurance details, we are the specialists that you can depend on.
Located just 45 miles northwest of Chicago, Crystal Lake is a small town with a big history. Our town got its name from Ziba S. Beardsley, who noted the waters were as clear as crystal in 1835. Today, Crystal Lake is 238 acres large, and the town hosts many year-round events to bring families closer together, including the annual Johnny Appleseed Festival to teach children about the famous Midwestern figure. You can find our office just east of Three Oaks Recreation Area, off of State Rte 31.
Dr. Lehmans inspiration to pursue oral surgery came from his father, who was also an oral surgeon. His passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery drove him to become involved in research, and he later gave a presentation in Washington, DC, at the National Institute of Health. Dr. Lehman continues to strive for excellence both as a surgeon as an individual, and he greatly enjoys the opportunity to give back to the dental community. He is passionate about implant dentistry, and he serves as a continuing education instructor for his peers in the community, guiding them through the most current dental implant concepts and techniques.
A native of Chicago, Dr. Michael Menis was inspired at a young age to pursue a career in medicine. He fell in love with oral surgery and enjoys that he can combine his human physiology and problem-solving interests.
Dr. Menis is passionate about helping others and providing solutions to their oral health problems. He wants his patients to feel taken care of, and he enjoys taking the time to get to know each patient beyond their oral surgery needs. His dental interests lie within dento-alveolar surgery, including teeth extractions and impacted teeth exposure. He currently serves on the medical staff at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of working with Dr Lehman. He really cares about his patients and there needs. First pain level. Dr does not want a patient to leave in pain. He is very conscious of your pain level , and your health. He always makes sure you and your body are ready for surgery. He is always very open and honest about how the procedure would go and possible issues. The staff is the best. Always kind and caring. Don't go somewhere else because of money make sure you are being cared for, not just $$$ in the bank

Dr Menis is Fantastic! I highly recommend him. My son needed oral surgery when he was 12 (that was a success) and 5 yrs later, Dr Menis remembered so many things about my son, for his 4 wisdom teeth removal. My son was amazed how little pain he felt and how quick he healed. Dr Menis is personable, professional and a great oral surgeon!!

My experiences with Lehman & Menis were above and beyond what I expected. I have used them for two procedures and each time was equally wonderful. Dr. Lehman truly cares about his patients and my anxiety over having to have implants was put to rest. The staff was equally as wonderful and easy to work with. They even sent flowers the day after my procedures which was such a nice surprise. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Lehman and his team are truly the best! This is the oral surgeon that you want, and they will be sure you are comfortable and get the care you need. They really make sure you are informed and prepared, and listen to your concerns. I was recommended to them and I highly recommend them!

Dr. Lehman and his staff made my procedure a very positive experience. Pain was minimal and quality of work was great. His office also did a fantastic job of coordinating with my dentist for completion of the final restoration. I'm recommending him to my wife for her dental work, so I'd definitely recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery.

I had to have a tooth pulled and then immediately have an implant put in. Dr. Lehman was amazing! I had never had either procedure done before, and I had many concerns. Dr. Lehman was kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and patient as he explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. I felt reassured and was ready to move forward with it. I opted to have anesthesia for the procedures, and it went so smoothly and well. There was no pain when I awoke, nor was there any pain in the days and weeks that followed. I couldn't believe it! I followed all of the aftercare instructions that I was given, and my mouth was healing beautifully. Dr. Lehman's team was excellent. They were also caring, friendly, helpful, and they followed up with phone calls to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. Dr. Lehman is a "gem". It is obvious that he loves his work. He is a dedicated, excellent Oral Surgeon. He is also a wonderful person. He genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients. I'm so grateful that my dentist, Dr. Janis, recommended him. I'm so grateful to have him as my Oral Surgeon and would highly recommend him to anyone needing Oral Surgery and who wants a doctor that is exceptional in all ways.

Everyone was kind and reassuring that our son's procedure was going to be ok. Dr. Menus takes the time to explain the process before had and made my son comfortable. We took our four kids here and we were never disappointed. Keep up the good work.

Dr. Menis was thee absolute best! I was so anxious to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. I put it off for way too long. When I met Dr. Menis I knew I was going to be in good hands. The whole procedure went super smooth. They make you feel very relaxed and calm before the procedure and have a strong follow up system following the procedure to ensure you are still feeling well. Highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of wisdom teeth removal!

I was amazed at how attentive Dr. Lehman was. His staff was knowledgeable and caring, but most importantly, Dr. Lehman listened to me. I have had a lot of dealings with doctors, and they don't even look at my medications that I take and they pretend to listen to me, but they don't care. I have to say, Dr. Lehman, if he does not understand something, he looks into it to find the answer. THAT is someone who cares!!! I LOVED my experience with him. If you need an implant, he is the doctor for you.

Had to get 4 impacted wisdom teeth and an incisor removed, while awake, so you could say I wasn't looking forward to this surgery. To my surprise, there was no pain or discomfort during the procedure, even though I knew some diabolical things were happening in my mouth. It's been 6 days and I have had no pain and used no pain meds, even though a procedure like this typically puts people out for a few days. Was feeling so well that I even went to the gym and hit a new bench press PR 2 days after! Idk what kind of wizardry Dr. Menis pulled off but I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of my surgery and recovery.

My son was nervous about the procedure, the staff was patient and friendly and calmed any fear he had. The procedure went well and recovery was surprisingly quick. Definitely an overall good experience.
