After receiving a B.A. degree at the University of Rochester, Dr. Valencia earned his DMD degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He spent one year in a hospital residency program at Staten Island University Hospital, and then practiced general dentistry in Delaware County, Pennsylvania for four years before returning to the University of Pennsylvanias Advanced Dental Education Program in Endodontics. As part of the post-graduate residency program, he was able to participate as an instructor at the schools Microscope Training Center, sharing knowledge of the use of microscopes in conventional endodontic treatment as well as in endodontic microsurgery.
After completing the program, he entered private practice limited to endodontics in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey. He remains active in academics as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania where he instructs endodontic residents and general dental students.
Dr. Lyudmila Kuznetsova was born and raised in St.Petersburg, Russia. She moved to the U.S. with her family in 2000. She was in private practice in Russia for 8 years. Dr. Kuznetsova received her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2005. After graduation, she worked as a general dentist at Kids Smiles Dental Center in Philadelphia for 1 year. Dr. Kuznetsova returned to the Penn graduate program and received a certificate in Endodontics in 2008. During her residency, Dr. Kuznetsova was an instructor at the Microscope Training Center at Penn where she taught both conventional as well as surgical endodontics.
