They will work with you to ensure that you receive the maximum insurance benefit to which you are entitled. They will also provide financial options for those treatments not covered by your insurance or only partially covered by your insurance plan

Heather brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery field. With years of experience under her belt, we are thrilled to bring her on board as our practice administrator. Heather will work with our other team members to ensure a superior patient experience. She oversees all of the front office team and works closely with our referring doctors to streamline communication and efficiency.

Emmalie is our Financial Manager. Emmalie's goal is to ensure that you get proper coordination of benefits with your insurance company. Emmalie oversees our business office to make sure your claims are being sent properly and you receive the maximum benefit from your Dental or Medical insurances. We participate in a variety of insurance companies and Emmalie has taken several insurance coding courses and will help with coordination of benefits. Emmalie has been with Lehigh Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for more than 16 years.

Brittany brings 9 years years of experience at Lehigh Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She initially started as a clinical assistant and then transitioned to a leader of the Business office team. She will serve as your liaison and advocate between Lehigh Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, your dentist, and the dental lab to ensure you receive the best treatment possible.

Our surgical team is composed of assistants who are trained in all facets of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They are dedicated and hard working and allow your treatment to be performed more efficiently and thoroughly. Through continuing education, they are constantly improving their knowledge and skills in an effort to better serve you.

Our anesthesia assistants are trained by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to assist the doctor in the performance of outpatient anesthesia. They have completed a rigorous didactic course of training and passed a comprehensive written examination in order to achieve this status. They also pursue continuing education courses in anesthesia to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Dr. Ankur Johri earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with Honors at the highly reputed University of Toronto in 2003. In 2009, he obtained his Medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Johri then finished 4 additional years of Surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the prestigious and highly ranked University of Connecticut. Dr. Johri is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He is also a Fellow in renowned American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Dr. Johri has lectured on various topics at society meetings to fellow OMS and Plastic surgery residents and conducted several hands-on surgical cadaver anatomy courses. Aside from striving to be an excellent Clinician, he is also committed to Peer Education. He was awarded the Teacher of the Year award in 2015 from Lehigh Valley Hospital in the field of OMS. Furthermore, he has been involved with Synthes as a guest lecturer to give presentations on treatment of complex facial fractures.

Dr. Johri has an Unrestricted Anesthesia permit from the State of Pennsylvania that allows him to perform General Anesthesia in the office. He is also ACLS, PALS and BLS certified. Patient safety is his TOP priority and for that reason BOTH of our offices are equipped with a dedicated Recovery Room to ensure patients are appropriately taken care of post surgery and are discharged once stable. We are also the only office in the Lehigh Valley where Sevoflurane General Anesthesia is performed by the Doctors for children who are extremely apprehensive and would not tolerate an IV line placement.

Dr. Johri has a particular interest in facial trauma, jaw correction surgery, dental implants and facial cosmetic surgery. Both his offices are equipped with the latest technology such as PRF/PRP centrifuges, CBCT scanners, CO2 lasers, Piezosurgery units, Itero intraoral scanners to name a few. We are also a full fledged Electronic Medical Office using Digital imaging only (less radiation dosage) and Digital charting, consents etc. Furthermore, we send your Prescriptions instantly after surgery electronically to your Pharmacy, so that you don't have to wait after surgery to get your Medications filled. Patient satisfaction is important to us and we can be contacted 24/7 via our Answering Service.

Dr. Johri specializes in dental implants and performs 'All on 4' implants with immediate (same day) or 24 hour teeth. He also performs Trefoil and Zygomatic implants patients as well. He performs his more invasive procedures such as treatment of Facial fractures, Neck Infections, Correction of facial deformities, Sleep apnea surgery, Tumor resection and reconstruction at Lehigh Valley Hospital (which is a Level 1 Trauma Center).

Dr. Johri is a Peer journal reviewer for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has also authored a chapter on infections in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America.

Dr Bender did his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base California. This military based program has a strong emphasis in orthognathic, dental implant and cosmetic facial surgery.

Having developed a strong desire to pursue further education in facial cosmetic surgery, Dr Bender received Air Force sponsorship to participate in a civilian fellowship program. He was accepted to the Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Dentistry and Medicine. There he was mentored by Steven J Prstojevich MD DDS. Dr Bender was also responsible for staffing residents at Kansas Citys only Level One Trauma Center.

Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr Bender was asked to return to David Grant Medical Center to be an instructor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He trained ten residents during his tenure there, with a primary focus on facial cosmetic surgery. In Jan 2005, Dr (Lt. Col) Bender was deployed to Balad Air Base, Iraq for four months. There he utilized his expertise in facial trauma and reconstructive surgery to care for American and coalition forces.

Dr Bender is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is also an ACLS instructor. Dr Bender has been granted hospital privileges to perform facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
