Dr. Ryan Ward was born in Newton, KS, and moved with his family to Corpus Christi, TX as a child. He found his way back to Kansas when he was recruited to play college tennis at Washburn University in Topeka, KS, and established his own dental practice in Lawrence.
Dentistry is very personal for Dr. Ward. He was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. After undergoing multiple oral surgeries to correct the cleft, he underwent orthodontic treatment for over 10 years.
Apart from helping patients with excellent dentistry, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and two cocker spaniels. He and his family love traveling, hiking, swimming, running, and playing tennis. Dr. Ward still competes in USTA mens tennis leagues and father-son doubles national championships with his dad.
This transformation inspired Dr. Ward to become a dentist himself and provide complex comprehensive dental treatments in a comfortable setting. During his residency, he received advanced training in restorative and cosmetic treatments, plus surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.
I always try to make dental treatment seem like something both the patient and myself should want, not just one side or the other. If patients are hesitant about treatment, I never try to push it on them.
Very personable, and I'm excited to get my new smile through this clinic! The staff here is so amazing! Everyone helps you feel comfortable during an anxious time. I cannot say enough good things about this office.

So, it is fair to say, Dr. Ward has been in your shoes. He has experienced the nerves going to the dentist can bring and the uncertainty you might feel. But, he also has seen his own smile transformation and the benefits that brings.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Ryan Ward and his staff. He took the time to fully explain my x-rays and the condition of my teeth and was extremely thorough. Both he and his hygienist have a great bedside manner and they are very friendly. I will be referring him to my family and friends.
