Dr. McMurray was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served a full-time LDS mission in the Seattle, Washington, area and then returned home to continue with college, where he met and married his wife, Connie. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and then went on to graduate from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Following graduation, they moved to the small town of Okanogan, Washington, where he practiced in a community clinic for five years, treating a very large underserved population. In 2001, he and his family relocated to Boise and eventually joined up with his old friend, Dr. Brad Williams (they go back to elementary school together).
Dr. McMurray enjoys getting to know his patients, and he truly values their trust and friendship. His practice is broad and includes all phases of dentistry ranging from kids to adults to those with special needs, from cosmetic dentistry and implants to root canals and braces. Dr. McMurray has been the Chief of Dentistry at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for many years, where he treats a large number of pediatric and special needs patients. He is heavily involved with the Head Start programs of several counties, and for the past several years, he has coordinated the Give Kids A Smile annual free dental program for the Southwest Idaho Dental Society. Dr. McMurray is a Mentor with the CEREC digital dentistry program and is excited about what the future holds for dentistry.
Dr. McMurray is actively involved in his church and community and has worked with the youth, and particularly the Boy Scout program, for many years. When not involved with his practice, Dr. McMurray enjoys anything outdoors and spending time with his wife and five children.
Dr. Pulham was born and raised in Orem, Utah. He met his wife, Alisa, in junior high, and they started dating during their senior year of high school. He and Alisa were married four years later and began their life together in St. George, Utah. Dr. Pulham graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree in biology from Dixie State University.
He and his family then moved their lives to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he attended Indiana University School of Dentistry. He was recognized for outstanding clinical performance in endodontics (root canal therapy) as well as cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Pulham then went on to graduate at the top of his class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Pulham visited the Treasure Valley for an externship in 2017 and knew he would call this place home. He began his career in a private practice setting in Nampa, Idaho. He now enjoys the incredible opportunity of working with Dr. McMurray and the wonderful team at Legacy Smiles. Dr. Pulham is an active member in the American Dental Association and Idaho State Dental Association. He is a member of the TEAM Act study club, where he collaborates with many of the best clinicians and dental specialists in the Treasure Valley. He enjoys staying up-to-date in all the latest trends and dentistry techniques by attending various continuing dental education courses each year. He has received additional training in Invisalign clear aligners, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and sleep dentistry.
Dr. Pulham and Alisa have three children, and they recently added a dog named Bodhi to their family. While not at the office, you can find Dr. Pulham enjoying everything the Idaho outdoors has to offer, especially camping, mountain biking, fishing and snowboarding.

Kari K. Practice Manager Kari is our Practice Manager here in the office. She has been in the dental field for over 20 years, and she has worked as both a Dental Assistant and front desk manager. She has loved working in the dental field, and she loves working with patients. We look forward to having her at our office. She has a family with two kids, and she has recently become a new grandma. She enjoys white water rafting and crafts, planning parties, and decorating.

This place is amazing! Dr Pulham is my absolute favorite! He is so caring and patient.. will go above and beyond for his clients and it shows. On top of it all the staff is SO kind and professional.. top knotch equipment too. You won't be disappointed going here.

We returned to the area after a 12 year absence and needed a new provider. Legacy provided a flyer in our Meridian Welcome Packet. We found Dr. Pelham and his staff to be codial, friendly, efficient, and they did not push for future treatments. Their services are reasonably priced, and their office is warm and inviting. I highly recommend them!

My wife has severe dental anxiety. She had a bad initial treatment and that was almost a year ago. I find great comfort that she is in the hands of Dr. Pulham. He is kind, patient, non-condescending, and professional at the highest level. My wife has nothing but praise for the staff, and this office is clean, comfortable, and warm. It's been a blessing to find Dr. Pulham because he has helped my wife who has been suffering for some time now. No surprises, no scams just solid, professional, informed treatment. You are given options but never pressured to "upgrade". It's just a safe place to keep your teeth in check. Compassion with top notch skills and state of the art equipment. For those who fear the dentist...this is your go to establishment. You won't regret it! Grateful to the whole staff!

My dentist is Dr. Pulham and he is the best dentist I've ever had! I've had a lot of work done on my teeth and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and his work. Best office in the Treasure Valley! I would travel far if I needed to for this office.

Legacy Smiles is a wonderful dental office. The front desk makes it easy to schedule regular and emergency visits. I have seen Dr. McMurray for years. I have had multiple crowns and root canals. All work is guaranteed and they make you feel as comfortable as possible. The office is very clean and has the latest equipment. I highly recommend this office.

I wanted to share my experience with Legacy Smiles Family Dental office yesterday. I broke a tooth during a BBQ family event over the Holiday weekend. My molar cusp tip broke off ! Legacy Smiles Family Dental office was able to get me in right away. The staff was absolutely amazing. Michelle greeted me and Dr. Daxton Pulham worked on me. He was very thorough and kind and walked me through the entire restoration process and what he recommended we fix first. Turned out I broke two teeth...lol He got me squared away in just a short time and I'm grateful for the entire professional experience I had with Legacy Smiles Family Dental.. I personally recommend this family Dental practice to anyone who is looking for a reputable dentist who will take the time to explain your options and allow you to be part of the process. My family has been coming to see Dr. McMurray for about 18 years (give or take a year) now and he is by far the best out there! He is courteous, professional, and kind! One of my favorite things about him is that is he always asks questions about our family (well one would hope that after seeing a Dr that long they would lol) But on top of all that he is a fantastic dentist that my kids have always enjoyed going to see, and we have never, ever, not even one time had a bad visit. Go see them you regret it!!
