Just as every patient has a unique personality, every patient has a unique smile and a unique story to tell. Seeing the evolution of a persons teeth over the course of treatment is often mirrored by a change in their personality. A lot of patients start treatment feeling timid and shy and during treatment they gain confidence and open up. By the end of their time with us, they have a radiant, beautiful smile and we have learned everything about their lives.

When Dr. Becker was young, She was very shy and reserved due to the way her teeth looked. The orthodontic treatment gave her hope. When she finished her time in braces, shehad such a boost in her self-esteem that she was ready to conquer the world! Most kids dream of being an astronaut, or a professional athlete. Dr. Becker dreamed of becoming an orthodontist and feel very fortunate that I was able to realize her dreams and do exactly what she hoped to do!

Dr. Becker graduated from Emory University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She then attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, where she graduated at the top of her class and was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). Next came her Certificate of Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD), both awarded by Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Becker is dedicated to providing each patient with high-quality clinical treatment, tailored to their individual needs and expectations. She oversees each step of treatment: from treatment planning to positioning each bracket to planning and setting-up every aligner treatment. Many offices delegate these tasks to assistants, but Dr. Becker wants her personal touch and expertise to guide and direct each patients treatment!

Dr. Becker is committed to offering her patients treatment using advanced technologies and techniques. She regularly participates in continuing education in order to stay current on the latest developments, emerging research, and new methodologies.

These organizations offer numerous avenues for Dr. Becker to learn from leading orthodontic specialists, researchers, and oral healthcare providers. In addition to attending meetings, lectures, and seminars, Dr. Becker also avidly studies the latest journals and other publications.

A Dallas native, Dr. Becker resides in North Dallas with her husband Josh and their two young children: daughter Adelaine and son Gavin. The family is rounded out with Leo, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and they hope to add another dog to their family in the future.

Lisa Edwards has been an orthodontic assistant with the practice for over 15 years. She can remember everything about a patient whom she last saw ten years ago! She has a caring heart and will do everything possible to make our patients comfortable throughout the orthodontic treatment process.

She also files all insurance claims and excels at making sure you are able to maximize your benefits. Shes always available to attend to any financial questions you might have.

My name is Lisa and I love that I spend my days making people happy with their new smiles. That is true of Dr. Becker and my coworkers, too. We all love what we do and truly treasure the time we spend with our patients.

I am a Certified Registered Dental Assistant and assist Dr. Becker with various orthodontic procedures. I also provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and am always happy to answer questions and offer encouragement.

I work in the back office, providing chairside assistance to Dr. Becker as she treats patients. My attention is always on our patients comfort and keeping them motivated and excited throughout their treatment.

My name is Caitlin and I love seeing how changing a persons smile can transform their personality and their life. That excitement is shared by Dr. Becker and my coworkers: we are a close-knit family that loves getting to know each patient, personally, and giving them the confident, beautiful smile they deserve.

I went to school for my RDA, started working in general dentistry, and then moved to orthodontics. Im also taking courses in college to become an orthodontist. At Legacy Orthodontics, I work closely with patients and parents to review the treatment plan and get everything set up so it works for the family.

Im Robin and I love developing relationships with our younger and our adult patients. It is a joy to see the positive differences in each persons smile and their confidence. At Legacy Orthodontics I process daily payments and receipts and handle set-up, maintenance, and follow-up of all monthly auto-payments. Additionally, I verify, file, and follow-up all on primary, secondary, and updated insurance claims, so patients get the most from their benefits.

Outside of work, being with loved ones is my priority. My husband Steve and I live in Plano and have raised five grown children: his, mine, and ours. We love spending time with our three beautiful granddaughters here in Texas and our granddaughter and grandson in Florida. Our home is run by our black Lab, Trooper, and our rescue tabby cat, Kiwi. In my spare time, I watch way too many mysteries on Dateline, 20/20, and ID Channel, an obsession thats been passed on to my daughters.

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
