Dr. David T. Babington grew up in the Chantilly area and attended Paul IV High School in Fairfax, where his involvement on the Cross Country team ignited his lifelong love of running. After high school, he graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in biology. While at UVa, David was involved in several organizations including the Pre-Dental Society and the Charlottesville and University Symphony Orchestra, where he met his wife Jessica. David attended Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, receiving his DDS degree and graduating cum laude. While in dental school, David enjoyed his experiences volunteering with the Missions of Mercy Project where he provided much-needed dental care in Southwest Virginia. He also enjoyed playing club flag football and basketball with his classmates.
After completing dental school, David and Jessica moved to Fairfax where David started practicing dentistry with his father, Dr. William Babington. He and his father together provided care for patients in Northern Virginia for 13 years. When William retired in 2019, David took over as the sole proprietor of Chantilly Dentist, PC, where he continues to uphold the tradition of excellence that patients have come to expect from our office while adding new technology and treatments.
David and Jessica enjoy raising their three children in the same schools David attended as a child. When he is not caring for his patients, he spends time playing with the kids, coaching their sports teams, playing music, running and biking. David enjoys challenging himself in the numerous races he has completed, including several Ironman Triathlons, Spartan obstacle course races, Ragnar Relays, RunDisney Dopey Challenges, and many marathons, and his family loves to cheer him on.
As a native of Iowa, Dr. Chung was born in 1985 in Iowa City and spent most of his student life there, where he graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2011. He practiced dentistry in the state of Iowa for two years before relocating to Virginia after falling in love with this community.
Dr. Chung actively pursues continuing education courses to deliver state-of-the-art treatment, attending such prestigious seminars as Phelan Dental Seminars and Dawson Academy. His favorite pastime activities include hiking and reading books.

When you need be seen by a true professional, look no futher. Growing up with Dr. David , his father used to care for my entire family. Knowing David since childhood, I remember for career day he wanted to be a Dentist, just like his father. That never changed. Never have I seen someone more worthy of following in their father's footsteps who truly cares for the practice he has continued to develp. WIth cutting edge dental care and a wealth of knowledge that is unprecedented, I drive from my home in DC just to see him.

I love Legacy Dentistry! I had a crown replaced with Dr. Babbington and he and his dental asst are top notch! I went to Dr. Babbington after my previous dentist gave me an outrageous crown cost estimate and told me I needed a 'crown lengthening procedure' for this same crown replacement, but I had already had one done years ago. I saw Dr. B and he said, "No crown lengthening procedure needed" and that was all I needed, I switched dentists now and scheduled my next cleaning appt! Highly recommend!

Wow - I have tried a number of dentists in the DC area over the last twenty years, but several years ago I tried Chantilly Dentist and have finally found a home for my dental care. I enjoy my visits to Dr. Bamimgton office. He is very knowledgable, has great motor skills and he is kind and compassionate. I find the environment in the office very relaxing, people there are very friendly and helpful. It's been more than 10 years that I am a patient in this office and still happy!!
