Dr. Louis Core graduated fromArizona State Universitywith a bachelors of science degree in zoology. He then went on toNorthwestern UniversityDental School and at graduation, was inducted into theOmicron Kappa UpsilonDental Honor Society.After graduating from Northwestern, Dr. Core continued his pursuit of knowledge, completing a two-year course in orthodontics in and a one-year aesthetic residency. Dr. Core returned to Arizona State University's WP Carey School of Business to complete his Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Dr. Core is a Master of theAcademy of General Dentistry(MAGD), an honor earned by fewer than one percent of practicing dentists in the U.S. in the past 60 years. Dr. Core received the Invisalign Innovator Award has wasrecognized him as being in the top 1% of general practitioners forin the world for his experience with the technology. Dr. Core was selected as a finalist for the Phoenix Business Journal's Healthcare Heroes Award in 2006, and received the Spirit of Compassion award in 2007 from the Attorney General's office of the State of Arizona for his work with victims of crime. As a participating dentist in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry'sGive Back a Smileprogram, he has served with other general dentists and specialists providing free restorative dental care to women who have sustained dental traumas as a result of domestic violence.
In addition, Dr. Core holds a license to administerintravenous conscious sedation, which allows him to provide quality care in a stress-free environment for his patients. The Arizona Board of Dental Examiners frequently tasks Dr. Core with travelling around the valley to train and inspect other dentists to ensure that they are accurately administering IV sedation and complying with state regulations. Dr. Core is also a nationally published author on IV sedation best practices. He attends more than 100 hours of continuing education each year and dedicates himself to learning about and becoming skilled with the new advances and the latest technologies in dentistry. His extensive training in many areas of dentistry allows him to understand each patient's unique dental situation and enables him to create a customized and comprehensive treatment plan.
In his free time, Dr. Core enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle by participating in local marathons, triathlons, including the Ironman competition in Tempe, AZ.
