Dr. Jeffrey Diamond was raised in San Diego and graduated from UC San Diego and UCLA School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Diamond completed a residency program in Advanced General Dentistry at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA, where he gained extensive experience with complex restorative dentistry, implants, and full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Diamond has been in solo practice since 2016 and the owner of Legacy Dental Care since 2017.
While at UCLA, Dr. Diamond met his wife, Emily, Palo Alto native who works full-time as an academic research scientist. They have two children: Evan (born 2018) and Sloane (born 2020). They live in the Emerald Hills area of Redwood City and are grateful to live and work on the Peninsula, near family, friends, and so much natural beauty.
Dr. Diamond is a member of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He is dedicated to learning and keeping up with developments in techniques, materials, and technology, and enjoys connecting with colleagues via study groups and continuing education. Dr. Diamond is active in Spear Education, Peninsula Dental Academy, and Northern California Academy of Dental Research, and has stayed connected to UCLA through their continuing education programs. In 2018, he began studying with the Seattle-based Kois Center for advanced dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Diamonds favorite thing to do is hike among the redwoods with his family. He is an aspiring amateur chef, and enjoys mountain biking, basketball, swimming, and all kinds of DIY home improvement projects. Dr. D can often be seen riding around Los Altos on his big green electric bike.

Technology We utilize the most up-to- date, proven technology to ensure the highest level of diagnosis, patient education, and restorations available. Examples include digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, DIAGNOdent caries detection, CEREC single-visit crowns and onlays, and state-of- the-art techniques for restoration of dental implants. We choose to invest in these technologies because we care about you and the quality of work we do for you. Modern technology contributes to your comfort, convenience, and quick recovery, and so we keep current with new products as they become available and confirmed by research.

I've been Dr. Diamond's patient for more than 5 years, and I've never had a dentist so in tune with my dental needs. I had trauma to my jaw and mouth as a twenty-something, and Dr. Diamond is the only dentist (I've seen many) who has implemented a holistic plan for my mouth by addressing each and every one of my teeth. He is hands down the most effective, most caring dentist I've encountered. His expertise is unmatched. Thank you, Dr. Diamond!

We came to Dr. Diamond when our previous dentist retired, and we've received great care from the whole team there. As an engineer by training, I really appreciate Dr. Diamond's approach of explaining the what, how, and why of what he's doing. Today he used an impressive CAD/CAM system to design a replacement crown while I watched and listened to his clear explanations. The in-office ceramic milling system whirred for a few minutes, and it was ready for fitting. Perfect! He explains everything with care and compassion, and suggests what you should do in a way that makes you feel like a collaborator on an important project, rather than slathering on guilt. The positive culture of professionalism and care seems to involve everyone, from the front desk to the hygienists and assistants. Visit this practice to take care of your teeth and take care of yourself. Highly recommended.

Always a caring staff, and Dr. Diamond is a master at figuring out dental issues and explaining them. Also lays out an action plan for dealing with problems. We have been going to Legacy for years, and couldn't be more pleased.

I was so fortunate to get a referral to Legacy Dental care from my periodontist. In an initial consultation, Dr. Diamond identified my dental issues, then presented me with a comprehensive plan of treatment, explaining what the goals were, and what would be done to reach those goals. This was followed up by a written version of all the information. Two visits later... my three old broken-down crowns have been removed and replaced by beautiful new crowns (two crowns and one onlay, to be specific.) It's comforting and interesting to hear Dr. Diamond succinctly and confidently describe exactly what's happening throughout the many steps involved in the procedure. Jasmine, the dental assistant, is great -- very skillful, and focussed on the needs of the patient at all times. I highly recommend Legacy Dental Care!

My family and I have been coming to Legacy Dental Care for decades. We couldn't be happier with Dr. Diamond, who took over Dr. McBirney's practice when he retired. Dr. Diamond is friendly, attentive, dedicated, and cares about his patients. He has gone above and beyond for us countless times to ensure we get the care we need. All of the dental hygienists are wonderful and spend extra time with their patients to make sure they are comfortable and well cared-for. I live in Philadelphia but specifically plan my dental appointments around times when I'm back in the Bay Area. I don't trust anyone else with my dental care like I do at Legacy Dental!

My first visit to Legacy Dental Care and it was excellent. A friendly and professional team, a comfortable setting (obvious care around Covid precautions). And Dr. Diamond was great about explaining everything he was doing (missing filling and a broken tooth). I couldn't have asked for better.

Have been going to Legacy Dental for over a decade now. Dr Mc Birney was a savior, as I went to him for an emergency after having an excruciating experience with my dental work at a previous dentist (I happen to be very sensitive to minute differences in bite). I was so pleased with Dr Mc Birney I brought my entire family of four to him. Dr McBirney has done an amazing job selecting his successor and transitioning the dentistry to Dr Diamond who is just as detailed and caring of his patients. He is very good at providing options and giving you realistic scenarios in addition to being excellent technically. His friendly staff and hygienists too are very good at what they do. Would recommend Legacy Dental without a beat!
